Hey, maybe somebody could make like NPC PVP maps with custom Npc's mod and these packs. it could be used as like a simulated multiplayer kinda thing, and they can be customized to do like anything and hold guns, shoot things. ive worked on a couple prototypes id like to send to you Kirby, and i think Flans turned multiplayer last update cause on his page he has multiplayer servers. oh and on that thought maybe sometime we could develop multiplayer missions with custom Npcs.
That sounds interesting, maybe we can try that whenever I have free time. Feel free to send that to me (with the original mod post!).
EDIT: I've thought for a while that my WWII Guns/Teams Pack felt a little unoriginal. Does anyone think that it would be a good idea to convert it into a Day of Defeat content pack? I would focus the stats of the weapons on gameplay instead of realism. If I do make a DoD pack, the only weapons with iron sights would likely be the M1 Garand and the Kar98k, as this was what was done in DoD:S, though the scoped weapons would obviously have scopes.
And here it is! So far I tweaked and removed a few weapons (shotguns, excessive weapons (I'm looking at you, M1917 Enfield), things like that), and I adjusted iron sights. I also removed most iron sights.
I added an M1919 Browning, which has two versions. The default is the handheld version, which kicks a whole bunch and isn't very effective. If you put just the M1919 Browning into the crafting table, you will get a deployable version. This version won't be able to fire, but you will be able to deploy it. After you deploy it, you can fire it like a regular MG from Flan's mod. Since I don't know anything about modeling, I 'borrowed' Flan's Browning model.
Along with the tweaks, I also added a Gewehr 43, which is a semi automatic German rifle firing the 8mm Mauser cartridge. I may add a bayonet to it, as it has no iron sights. What do you guys want?
I am making a crafting box for my own personal use for survival mode. BTW I'm not using TMI in legit survival, it's cheating.
ok cool I don't really care what you do
For the last few days, I've been working on a science fiction pack. It's not really too weird, maybe 30-40 years into the future. What I have:
U.S.A.
XM8: A project started a while ago, the XM8 was abandoned after its introduction. Now it has been adopted as a standard rifle. The XM8 comes with a holographic sight with a stadiametric rangefinder.
M6A1: A carbine version of the XM8 designed to shoot more cartridges in a shorter period of time. The M6A1 comes equipped with an open reflex sight made for quick target acquisition, though it isn't great for long range accuracy.
M12 LSW: The M12 Light Support Weapon is a bullpup version of the XM8 with an integrated machine gunner optic. The bullpup design allows for a longer barrel without sacrificing maneuverability. The M12 LSW is designed to use 60-round STANAG drum magazines, though 30-round box magazines may be used.
SR96 SASS: The SR96 Semi-Automatic Sniper System was a successful entry for the SASS competition. It is chambered in 7.62x51mm NATO. The SR96 SASS is also a bullpup system.
M10: The M10 is a striker fired fully automatic pistol chambered in 9x19mm. It fires at about 240 RPM. The M10 comes equipped with a night vision red dot sight.
SMAW-V3: The third iteration of the SMAW, the SMAW-V3 is about everything you need for a rocket launcher.
RU
AK-12: The AK-12 is an updated version of the proven AK-47 system. It has been in service since about 2012. The AK-12 comes with a holographic sight with an SVD style stadiametric rangefinder.
AK-14: This bullpup version of the AK-12 allows for quick reloads due to the bolt catch release being placed directly behind the magwell.
RPK-12M: The RPK-12M is essentially an AK-12 with a heavier barrel and an integrated machine gunner optic.
SVD-V2: The SVD-V2 is an updated version of the SVU, a bullpup version of the SVD. The SVD-V2 comes equipped with a 6x rifle scope.
MP-449: The MP-449 is a striker fired pistol firing an overpressured 9x18mm cartridge.
RPG-7V5: The RPG-7V5 does not resemble the RPG-7V2 at all. In fact, some design elements were taken from the SMAW-V3.
Universal:
R870 MCS: A proven design, the R870 MCS is a pump action shotgun holding 5 12 gauge shells.
Combat Blade: The combat blade is a blade.
The sci-fi pack comes with teams support. Boxes will come...soon.
Im planning on making a adv. map with flans mod and cnps. When i was looking at all the packs that you have (I love each and every one, they are AWESOME!!!!!) i noticed that you didnt have excatly what i was looking for from a gun mod. So can you make a "zombie" pack (idk about that name) that has something like WWI guns (very similar to your DoD pack, just with more weapons i guess) and then a second "level up" set of guns, exactly like the sic-fi pack. Thanks! (reason im not using flans WWI pack is because it seems to crash the game when i have that and a pack from here, but most likely just my computer, so dont worry about that Kirby)
Edit: one more thing, i dont think the download for the sic-fi pack is working. Might want to check that.

I can do that, though I'll do that after I finish the German weapons for the Day of Defeat Pack. The "leveled up" versions will likely be brighter versions of the weapons with camouflage and upgrades. What kind of upgrades do you want? More damage? Muzzle velocity? Accuracy?

The Sci-Fi Pack download works for me. (:
EXACTLY! so the "leveled up" weapons would be accuracy and muzzle velocity (recoil?) and maybe at most two different custom camouflaged guns, changing on what dye you put into a crafting table with the gun. So in the end, the longer you keep the same gun (as long as you get more perks) the more upgraded it could become, to a certain point.
Ill retry the download, i have a mac soooooo........ya. may also (more likely than not) just be me.
And if you need any help with texturing at all, pm me. (though im sure you have a team or your just amazing at this, cause the mod is like the best one ever. (i refuse to use any other gun mod))

Muzzle velocity is bullet speed, though recoil could be affected.
Yeah, go ahead and retry (I uploaded a new version, too).
Texturing isn't too much of a big deal for me, so no thanks. But if I do need any help with textures, I'll make sure to contact you. By the way, I do all of this on my own, though the sounds aren't mine.

O ok, thats cool!
And ok (about the texturing)
Annnddddd (so many) thats sweet that you do all of this by yourself! nice to have 1 goto guy for something.
Dude i can't find the attachments for the guns in the "too many items mod and the recipe book"
Currently there are only guns there are no separate attachment items but if its the guns with the attachments already on them you should be able to find them in creative inventory.
I have a suggestion for a gun that you could implement, the L96. Ik that this is in a DLC and you don't have to put it in the Battlefield 3 pack, but, when you are finished with Germany for the DoD, could you at least implement it on the "Zombie" pack that i requested? If not, its all good, I just kinda love that gun in Battlefield 3, X-Box.
-attachments are ridiculously boring to make and most of them are cosmetic (I'm looking at you, optics)
-some sounds are really bad
-holy crap the second battlefield pack uses so many gun IDs
solutions:
-scrap most of the (useless) attachments
-fix the sounds
-scrap most of the (useless) attachments
So what I'll probably do is remove most of the attachments from the second Battlefield Pack, fix some sounds, and tweak other things so I can focus on other things like more useful (DIFFERENT) guns that aren't all based on the same platform (cough ar-15 and ak-47)
That sounds interesting, maybe we can try that whenever I have free time. Feel free to send that to me (with the original mod post!).
No, not yet. Maybe later for the second pack.

Oh well. You've been doing Battlefield packs so that's what I assumed

yes most of his packs work with 1.4.7 with the exception of the first battlefield pack
really? I could have swore that i had used it on 1.4.7, or maybe that was 1.4.6 If it was it would still work on 1.4.7 though.
well it works but its not fully compatible i guess
