I think I can combine this with my binding of isaac map and make sure I retexture bricks. damn. combine this mod with mob dismemberment mod and you have yourself a hilarious way to kill a skeleton
I installed this mod 2 different ways: dropping it into mods folder and drag and drop files. none have worked. I get this error:

This is awesome. I love the addition of breaking glass, and I'm very down for throwing bottles and slime balls. Suggestions on my part are - normal bricks have a chance to stun (or will stun if a head shot is made? I'm not sure how/if MC registers hits on certain areas of the body, although I do highly recommend seeing if this and http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/1296367-125-mob-amputation-v3-blood-and-gibs-and-an-easter-egg/ could work together, I think it'd be an epic mix)
Other ideas - glass bottles cause bleeding damage, slime balls cover a mob in gunk and slow them down. Capacitor bricks - upon hitting a mob it unloads the capacitor into the mob causing lightning damage. Crate of Bricks - you need to drink a potion of strength before trying to throw this otherwise you'll drop it on your toes and cause yourself damaged. Made with 8 bricks surrounding a gun powder, when it lands it sends a shower of bricks flying in all directions (nick named "Those Who Live in Glass Houses Shouldn't Throw stones" lol. Another thing that'd be kinda cool would be a "Bucket of Bricks" which you can place as a trap, when triggered it dumps a pile of bricks on the mob that triggered the trap... Not quite sure how to make it triggerable without complicated redstoning... Possibly add a type of vertical trip wire that extends from a pressure plate up to the trap?
Hmmm... Actually, there's nothing saying you couldn't make iron and gold ingots and diamonds throw-able either, each causing different damage.
Brick enchantments - having a brick enchanted with infinity that always came back would be groovy.
And maybe a "bad villager child" mob that throws bricks (especially at windows, the little brat) who, if they bust your house you can be evil to and... Dispose of... Or haul them back to their parents to pay for the damages (in emeralds)
There we go. As usual I take a nice, simple mod and have 2 million ideas to complicate it. Lol. Sorry. Hope some of these sounds decent and could be worked in.

Wow, very creative, I must say!
For now, I'm just keeping the mod basic. But in the future, I will release my own version of "mo' throwables", where of course, you can throw more things (like slimeballs, glass bottles, etc).
As for the bucket of bricks and the crate of bricks, that would be cool! I'll look into it
Awesome, thanks man. Ideas are something I never run out of. I can always think of a way to improve or tweak something and generally get a good sense of what someone's trying to do with their idea to help them make it into what they want, but more epic.
I'd love to see a video of someone who was constantly forgetting their strength potion and watching a little animation of their arms give way and the brick falling on their toes. Maybe doing a little squished toe dance. Actually... You could use the crate for both the trap and throwing, just place it to be the trap, r-click at the air to throw.

Lol... Just thought of something else you could throw, put into buckets/crates and would work with the humourus stylings of this mod. Bowling ball. Where as a brick would just get stuck in the ground, throwing one of these bad boys (or dumping a bunch of 'em on someone) would keep going, knocking over anyone in their path. Made from obsidian. Wind up high throw that sends it flying, causes more damage and stun lasts longer (done by holding down the throw button and aiming up), vs the "cultured gentleman" which is your normal day-at-the-alley throw, less damage, more controlled, goes in a straight line and knocks down anything it hits.
Hey, just saw your mod, it looks pretty sweet for a first mod. on a side note to that, I'll PM ChimmneySwift11 about this, he has been wanting throwable bricks for forever. Just a thought, what if when you threw a brick and it fell fast, like it would in real life. Just a thought though. Again, nice work on the mod, I'll look into downloading it.

Thanks, and I'm glad you like it.
So OK, I'll add more gravity to the bricks in the next beta
Nice mod, I can finally throw something when i'm mad!
Thanks.
In other news, I have finally released a good copy of the mod for 1.3.2. And guess what, bricks no longer look like snowballs!
I have added a few new features into the version as well, like bricks having more gravity and breaking other blocks. See changelog for full details.
And please install the mod onto a fresh minecraft Jar, as updated it to a jar with a beta installed will keep bricks rendered as snowballs. If you have any problems, please feel free to contact me
Dude! please help me! I really want to make a throwable item mod too but I'm running into problems. I'm new to this modding thing and my problem is rendering the item so that you can see it being thrown. It works but I can't see it. I can't find a solution to making this mod work perfectly. I tried looking through techguy's tutorials but I couldn't find what I was looking for. Can you please provide me with some help and maybe some class templates? That would be awesome if you could help me

Sure.
It is very complex, since 1.3 came out. But anyone can do it with a bit of assistance.
Don't worry, it won't take long to upgrade to 1.3.2

I'm still not sure why you get the error, I'll look into it.

Ok, I'll stop thinking now.
also, could you do a faithful 32 alternate texture for this?
"There's a difference between things that end and things that can't continue."
Sorry for the late update, I'm just trying to resolve the texture bug on bricks.
I might possibly, but you might need to be more specific. I don't really know what you mean.
So OK, I'll add more gravity to the bricks in the next beta
There aren't that many new things, but all details in the changelog.
Also, what other blocks should bricks break? They break redstone, tall grass, vines, sugercane, crops, etc, but what other blocks should they break?
I'm very open on this, so please tell me what you think. I want to make this basic mod as cool as possible.

I'll PM you later with the code
Actually, another guy named setosorcerer made a throwable bricks mod before this guy >.>
