Hey pal,i am enjoying this mod,i even took a screenshot of my gameplay.
The only problem,is that i looked at the modloader crash log,and found this:

Something I think might be one of the problems causing lag. We normally don't see this many in default world, probably cause they're underground or in blocks, above water you definitely see plenty, I think the chance of seeing a trainer should be rare, to prevent this happening.
Anyone else have random places you can't seem to place a block?
Might only happen on servers, haven't even tried single player yet...
As far as I know, that's been a server bug for a while, it's usually that the servers been up to long, and needs to shut down and start up. I've had this happen numerous times, sometimes even several chunks doing this at once.
Can someone help me? I think I might have downloaded Pixelmon wrong because no pokemon are spawning and whenever I try to capture a pokemon and it escapes it just dissapears into thin air! Have I installed it wrong?
If none are spawning then you couldn't have caught one. And the poke disappears because it beat the ball. Cheat in a masterball and try it, it should work, just as a test.

I thought that at first to, travel around a bit, on land, find a land chunk that loads pokemon, they can sometimes be pretty far apart. I couldn't really understand the second part of your question.
You most likely didn't install it correctly, when you spawn it's sposed to ask you what you want for starter, eevee, charmander, etc...

ok, you probably installed it wrong, or have the wrong version of pixelmon/forge/mc. Start with a fresh mc and download it all again!

Been in minecraft since 1.5_1 beta, I saw your mod once before, when it was smaller, and passed it by, I checked it out 3 days ago and decided to give it ago. The few bugs I'm able to put up with, it's expected, all mods have bugs, but 1 thing does disappoint me. You don't have meowth evolve into Persian XD, anyways, always happy to help when I can.
This mod has the full potential to be amazing, but it's just too buggy! So far, I couldn't engage in any battle without having to restart minecraft... The 'waiting...' screen never changed, and the pokémon started phasing through each other and the terrain... I don't know what could be done, but hope something changes! I want to play it so bad, but there's no chance I'll be able to do it right now... Very sad...
After re-installing this mod multiple times and roaming around the Minecraft landscape for a few hours, almost no Pokemon have spawned. It does ask me to pick my starter, apricorn trees and every else appear in the world, but no Pokemon spawn. I can send out and recall my starter, and it is possible for me to spawn in Pokemon using commands. The only naturally spawned Pokemon I have seen was a single Magikarp in a river. After hours of roaming on land, nothing appeared (I was unable to find an ocean biome to see if anything spawned there). I didn't come across any trainer NPCs either. I am 95% certain that I installed the mod and its prerequisite correctly, considering I have done it before and have not run into any issues.

I believe it disables them. Go into the config folder, pixelmon.cfg, find something dealing with mobs, the option should be there.

Possibilities:
1. Update Java
2. Find another site for forge, forge is neccessary I believe.
3. Check that no mods are conflicting, clean .jar with only forge, and only pixelmon in mods folder.
