Pokemon with names that are colored blue, red or yellow are boss pokemon this means that when they are defeated they drop loot which can be things like tms, pokeballs, potions etc. or if they are caught i believe they are a little stronger then normal pokemon
I'm fairly certain they patched it so that when you catch a boss Pokemon it reverts to an ordinary one. However if you caught a boss before that patch, It apparently doesn't loose its boss status.
Please add in shaymin
It's going by generation, so the minute the original 151 Pokemon are in the game, generation 2 will be initiated, then generation 3, ect.
You'll have to wait for any generation 4 Pokemon.
also if you can ride of archens evolution i can't because it's too small. please fix this so there not always so tiny you can't ride on them.
Keep in mind, Pokemon come in different sizes. I.E. If your Archeops is tiny, find another fossil and revive it. Maybe you'll get lucky and find an Archen that is the "enormous" size, then it should be about the same size as you, maybe even bigger.
The reason Archeops can fly in this mod is because it can fly in the games, not because of personal preference to the creator of the mod or anything like that. Archeops actually wasn't able to fly for a while, and they just patched that recently.
I sort of agree that it is odd how Archeops defies common logic and can fly. Flying is supposed to be a difficult task for Archeops akin to the dinosaur it was inspired from, supposedly needing a sizable running start and only capable of remaining airborne for a short period of time (Pokedex says this about Archeops as well), yet the show portrays it flying easily and he can learn fly regardless.
So im not sure if this should be here or on the NEI page, but i had both Pixelmon and NEI installed and when i played minecraft the game would freeze if i tried to open my inventory. I could do anything else, but anytime i tried to open some type of gui like inventory or chests, the game would freeze. No crash, no crash report, just a freeze that wouldn't end until i force quit minecraft. Sorry i dont have any useful info, but i guess its good to throw out there just so theres a possibility to fix it.
Oh yeah and when i uninstalled NEI, then Pixelmon worked perfectly and if i uninstalled Pixelmon then NEI worked perfectly.
Oh yeah and when i uninstalled NEI, then Pixelmon worked perfectly and if i uninstalled Pixelmon then NEI worked perfectly.
When someone posts problems similar to this, and if I remember correctly NEI in particular has been mentioned in this thread before, Mr_Masochism insists it's a problem on the opposing mods behalf. Something with NEI conflicts with Pixelmon, making them completely incompatible.
This is most evident in the fact that uninstalling either mod causes the other to work properly.
is there a kingdra in the mod? if not what other dragon types are there i have garados, charizard, areildactal, dratini and vibrava im not counting the evouled forms of dratini and vibrava as another i can catch
Kingdra has just been modeled, check the forums! :]
Alright, for the first question, I've just coded that in for you since we hadn't thought of that, ;D
I dunno about the list, which list do you mean?
We are in fact focusing on one generation at a time, but many pokemon were added to make the game balanced, or bring needed items into the game, like mareep for wool.
Breeding... We've yet to get a well thought out mechanic for it, but if you have a good idea of how it should be done, it will be done. http://pixelmonmod.c...wforum.php?f=12 Chuck it in there and get a good discussion going.
EDIT: Or, get a coder and go for a side mod that adds in breeding
yea the list I was talking about is stupid I dont know why I even put it in there also in case you are not yet aware flinch isnt functioning double kick is broken if you want i can send a pm with a bunch of bugs i found?

I hate to put a damper on things, but that doesn't help him too much since Kingdra probably won't be added till the first 151 are finished, model or not. However, I could be wrong about that. Either way no Kingdra at this moment in the game :b
Actual advice is highlighted in blue to help you read it.
Your choice of Dragon themed Pokemon are:
- Gyarados
- Charizard
- Aerodactyl
- Dragonite
- Flygon
To help with the final slot on your team (I'm assuming your a dragon leader on some server) Lapras is sometimes seen as similar to a dragon (most dinasaur-shaped Pokemon are viewed as dragons. Haxorus, Sceptile, Aerodactyl, and Druddigon are a few perfect examples of this, and the fact that dragons are weak to ice is a reference to the Ice Age that supposedly contributed to the extinction of dinosaurs) and could easily cover your Ice weakness (don't say Charizard does this because most Ice types in generation 1 either know a water attack or are part water altogether, and most water Pokemon know ice attacks regardless. Charizard also does not actually resist Ice, so a moderately powerful Pokemon using Blizzard or even Ice Beam will cause it to take massive damage when Charizard switches in, even before it gets to attack). Other noteworthy Pokemon are Krookadile, Nidoking/queen, or Ramparados (albeit none of these are in the mod yet either, but are options if they are added before Kingdra. Similar to how most dinosaurs are portrayed as dragons, anything that can learn Outrage, Dragon Pulse, or Dragon Claw is also viewed as draconian.), and Craniados has MUCHhigher attacking power than Flygon, Charizard, and Aerodactyl on it's own before it even evolves. Finally you could settle for just using Seadra/Horsea until it's evolution(s) is/are added. Doing this will guarantee you have a Seadra ready for evolution when Kingdra is released.
Arcanine isn't a dragon but is know as the "legendary" Pokemon and a mystical Pokemon associated with myths and lore, which are traits usually associated with dragons.
Other than any of these, your best bet is to reluctantly use either Vibrava or Dragonair. I'm fairly certain both are bulkier than their respective evolved forms if given eviolite (I'm not sure if this item has been added or not, wiki is heavily outdated and I can't open Minecraft right now) and Vibrava is easy to get since Trapinch are so common and evolve at a lower level relative to other dragons.
yea the list I was talking about is stupid I dont know why I even put it in there also in case you are not yet aware flinch isnt functioning double kick is broken if you want i can send a pm with a bunch of bugs i found?
We have a perfectly good bug reporting system over on our forums. PMs get disregarded for the most part
EXCEPT FOR BY ME Benefit of having a lackey like me is that I can sift through old bugs and only post new ones. Either way, I'm particularly interested in move bugs.

Actually, you may have noticed that non-gen 1 pokemon have been added in if the unevolved forms are. Completing evolutionary lines is nearly as important to us as completing generation one. Kinda tragic not being able to get kingdra, easily the best pokemon in all the games it existed. Kingdra's a baws. <3

i have a problem when i join a pixlemon server and download a pixlemon map it says about 5 or 6 ids are missing i dont get it i need help
Now I don't want to get all mean here, but that certainly sounds a lot like SOMEONE didn't read the posts everywhere saying for you to delete the pixelmon.cfg in you config folder. Now I'm not mentioning any names here, as Wez_the_hunter would likely get embarassed, but that SOMEONE would probably want to delete the config from both client and server to guarantee a fix for this problem. Oh woops, looks like I revealed the identity of SOMEONE. Silly me ;D

Although I love how much you know, on this point you're incorrect. Fossils are bugged at the moment in that they always pump out ordinary sized pokemon. For my all-enormous dragon team, that kinda bummed me out when aerodactyl came out NORMAL. :<. Other than that you are quite accurate
I've asked this already and gotten no answer: Do EVs/IVs affect a Pokemon's movement speed? I.E. Will a Pokemon with a higher speed stat run, swim, or fly more quickly outside of battle?
Also has Paras been removed? I was traveling through the swamp and didn't see any. I assumed at the time they were just rare, but then stumbled upon a mushroom biome-island and after a long while I still didn't see any. I expected them to be the only thing that spawned in mushroom biomes, but ended up seeing nothing but Miltank and Weezing.
However this could all just be my terrible luck. I.E. I've been searching for bosses since they were added, and I have actually found more Mew than I have bosses.

I noticed, but wasn't entirely sure if you would add them due to how close you are to completing generation 1. I didn't want to say you would rush him out because the model is done, when in reality you were going to wait until the first 151 are done and release him early generation 2. I just was afraid to have his hopes scratched when next update comes and no new dragons.
Also, not to "sun on your parade", but Kingdra can have some tough times without any rain to double his speed or boost his water attacks.
Just nitpicking :b
And I had no idea about the fossils because without Bastiodon or Cradily, I haven't really been looking for them. My mistake. Plus I haven't had much time to play recently. :b
I also appreciate the compliments a lot! I like to make sure I keep well informed on mods and games I play frequently, because as cliche as it sounds I love giving people the information they need and good advice. I also know you mod makers are busy with life and programming, so you can't monitor these threads all day, so I come on when I can to help those who can't enjoy the mod until their problems are analysed and fixed so they don't have to wait.
The movement speed is calculated by its base stat for speed, as per a formula worked out by our buddy zinc. But I haven't seen evidence of this, seems a little bugged if you ask me.
Paras hasn't been removed, though I do hope its left claw has been fixed. Probably just bad luck ;D
I use kingdra with the sniper ability, so that when it gets a critical hit, it reeeeeeeally does. Its an all round battler, and is a dragon, and, and, has 1 weakness, and, its a King bro. Shame you have to use the stupid mechanic of trading to evolve it, as that sucks. Worth it though. <3

please fix the bug when you right click with the pokeball
please fix the bug when you right click with the pokeball
Saying it twice won't help us analyse your problem. What happens when you right click with the Pokeball? If your talking about how you throw the Pokeball when you right click while holding it, that isn't a bug. That's how you catch Pokemon that are too weak to battle.
This looks amazing so far! Are there any region based maps yet?
There are, but it isn't the modders job to keep track of those. I remember earlier in this thread there was a brief discussion about the completion of a Kanto map on someone's online server, but I'm afraid I don't have any names or IPs. You can go on the Pixelmon website and search the server section of the forums, and I'm sure you will find a few with region themed maps.

Taking advantage of random critical hits to deal absurd amounts of damage when you, analougus to your enemy, don't have any idea it's going to happen. Make your enemies pull their hair out, contemplating when a decisive strike will swiftly destroy everything they had ever worked for. You sir, are cruel :b
As you've taken note of I have terrible luck, so critical hits send a chill down my spine just thinking about them.

Not sure how you came up with that one hiroku. Fossil's have always been the same as other pokemon in what they produce... Just tested it out to be sure and got a small Shieldon
I pumped out 5 or so aerodactyl and all of them were ordinary. I was going crazy. There is no way I could have gotten 5 in a row. Actually 7 since I was testing out on single player as well. My luck cannot be that bad, can it?
