Good idea! I will. Perhaps make it with a chisel... I'll also add a recipe, of course. Otherwise, everything's going great. A few rather large but overall simple changes.
well this mod adds a bunch of cool things that really have little to no use, so it might just help some people
Fair point.
Zeno, Fused Obsidian is explosion-resistant, but not Ender-dragon resistant, and neither is Inscribed Obsidian (I think). I found that out versing 10 Enderdragons at once because i was bored. Maybe make Enderdragons not be able to move through Fused Obsidian, so you can create a safe-house whilst killing it?
Huh. Nice idea. I think that would require me to do more editing of the enderdragon than of the obsidian. I'll try. In the meantime, I've added endstone bricks to the next build along with endstone-brick stairs and a new chisel that allows you to turn endstone into endstone bricks. It can also let you turn stone into endstone, but doing so will take up 1/4 of the total damage per use. Considering it takes an eye of ender to make, this is no small cost. You can also make endstone brick by hand, if you pull up endstone with a silktouch tool.
Just throwing some ideas out there, but I've always wanted a decorative use for bone. Perhaps a torch base or unique block could be made from them or similar. Another idea, I think it would be nice have a minecart variant with a lantern in it. Maybe using glowstone dust and wood to produce the lantern. These are very rough concepts but I do think that glowstone needs to be used a bit more.
im sure many people have noticed this, but ill say it anyway. don't you think its annoying how you take the time to build an iron golem and it just walks away?! could you maybe give them house-detection abilities, similarly to villagers, so that they would stay near your home?

By the way, love the new changes! keep at it
I know! Fenced in my 1.1 village due to wandering villagers, then kept it fenced in in 1.2 due to wandering Iron Golems! Zeno, you really have to add this in.

Yeah, Glowstone is underused, as is bone. And that would be a nice idea for the Minecarts, light. But can't you already use Glowstone or something similar?
Anyways, I'll try to do something about the golems. At the moment, though, I have no idea how their AI works. I'll put it on the big list of entity-related things to look into when I'm bored. Same with the glowey minecarts, though I think that'll be easier. Bone-blocks I can certainly do, and I'll try to find something to do with glowstone.
Here's an idea I've had for a for a while, that isn't exactly to do with your mod, but you could put it in.
As there is an un-used Villager skin, (the green one) I suggest that, as all Villagers have brown clothes under their other clothes, and as (real-life) children don't have jobs, I think that Villager children should only have plain brown clothes, which will represent an un-employed person, as it is the simplest. When the Villager child grows up, it gains a 'job' (just like real-life children) and wears, over its brown clothes, the clothes of a Villager with a profession, like a Librarian, a Butcher, a Blacksmith, a Priest or a Farmer. Farmers are now green, as the brown that it used to be is taken by the un-employed children.
I hope you understood that, because I couldn't really explain it simpler. This only affects Minecraft in a visual way, but makes it a lot more realistic. Unfortunately, you might need to add this to your list of entity-related things to look at while you're bored.
Something completely un-related to the rest of this post, could you add in hand-held torches, that light up around you, but you don't need to put them down, as the light comes from the item in your hand?
I think there's already a mod that does the torch thing, and if I remember correctly, not only is it an incredibly complicated bit of code, but it also hogs memory like there's no tomorrow. DynamicLights, or something like that.

It was Dynamic Lights, thanks. But can you do the Villager skins thing?
I have a request, I don't know if this is possible, but its just something i have wanted to see in this game. a slingshot! and it would use seeds as ammo. again, just a thought. btw i love this mod and all of the blocks and features it adds. THANKS !
p.s. this is my first post ever on the minecraft forums

What, like a cheap bow? It would have to do less damage, but at least I could use up my 7 stacks of seeds! Maybe it could also fire other things, with varying damage?
Certainly a good topic to make your first post on!

Exactly, i always end up with a ton of seeds after farming, so i figured maybe do as The legend of Zelda has done and make a slingshot, not nearly as powerful as a bow, but still an effective long range weapon
i have another idea. how about more uses for cauldrons, like filling them with lava, then if you right clicked on it with a damaged tool, it would lower the lava by one and repair the tool, while preserving enchantments. and maybe make it so that farmland blocks above water-filled cualdrons would become hydrated, even in the nether. btw great job on the ice shards

Do you mean ingame? Just use lava, a cactus or leave them until they disappear.
