Why is it that I always decide to check on the happenings over here 3 days after they happen. We may never know.
Anyhoo, even though it appears you've gone and made it mostly obsolete, here's the mfbridge source, perhaps it can be of some use to you, and save people screwing around with minetweaker.
Hey I already posted this in the Minefantasy 2 forum on curse, but I think it is worth mentioning here. I know a few pals IRL that could help update this mod to the latest mc version, and of course work on fixing and addressing bugs. I think a coalition or team should be created to help keep Minefantasy alive. It seems to me the few people that have taken it into their own hands are too busy IRL, but if a group of 5 or more were to work on this it could definitely relieve stress on whom ever works on it now, and meet demands of the fans.
Hi guys!
I've been a fan of this mod for the longest of times, and recently returned to playing, although I'm having trouble with the recipies. I cannot seem to locate a functional link to the pdf file that contained all the recipies. If anyone possesses this file and is willing to share it, I'd be grateful.
Here's one that I had linked from my mod pack page:
I've been playing around on Minecraft a bit more lately, getting back into MF, and I've found that the recipe for vanilla iron doesn't work. According to the PDF it should just be flux and wrought iron in a crucible, but I've tried it both over a bonfire and a pool of lava and gotten no results. Is this a bug, was the recipe input incorrectly? Is there a setting to tweak? It's something of a problem since a blast furnace needs lava to function, but a bucket to get that lava needs vanilla iron.
Also the vanilla anvil doesn't work, so you can't rename or enchant weapons.
The version makes a lot of difference -- for example, I use version 1.44, which fixes the anvil and expands the roads as well. However, some versions also have a different problem, overly nerfing armors and expanding crafting with items that aren't in the PDF and are very hard to remember (mostly the obsidian forge).
In my opinion nerfing armor for more tiers wasn't needed -- blue steel and mithril in the same tier makes sense, since mithril has the advantage of being lighter (which can have huge tactical advantages even with the relatively small speed difference, not to mention the implication for stealth). Similarly, the obsidian forge would be good if it was widely known how to make it (too complicated to just guess, and hard to remember), but as is it just blocks advancement.
Anyway, it all depends on version -- 1.44 is buried in my mod pack if you want it.
I'm trying to find the recipes list for MF 1.44. There used to be a PDF (that I still have) but it's missing some recipes, like crossbow parts and fletching.

I'd like to have a more up-to-date PDF myself -- mostly for thing like the obsidian forge, which is ridiculously hard to make without a pic of the recipe. There was a just right version (fixed vanilla anvil crash and better roads, but no armor nerfing or undocument recipes). 1.40 maybe? I'm not sure.
Anyway, I don't know if a file even exist that conveniently has those recipes -- if not, someone ought to make one, and if some I'd like to have a copy.

I Remember having the updated version, and you wouldn't believe it, i actually found it. it has the section on deep iron, as well as a full guide to the obsidion forge. nothing for crossbows, but i still have the pngs from ap. more then 4 years ago

That's the version I've got. It's hidden in the 1.3.7a .jar file.
I've actually got a server up and running right now with a heavily custom modpack (bits of my own preference, bits of AOTA, all balanced around a medieval/renaissance fantasy vibe) and we've been working out a chunk of the recipes. I'm thinking of getting an effort going to update the recipes where we can.
Our other problem is MF bridge. Since we're using Thaumcraft and MF, we need Bridge running for all those recipes with furnaces in them. But MFBridge stopped updating with MF1.3.7
It's a public server, yeah. We're using a modpack rather than just MF. We're all on this discord server, and the pack and IP are pinned in the Minecraft chat.

I look at it yesterday, but was in the middle of something else and could stay at chat (also, with so many sub-topics I couldn't tell which one was giving me beeps -- and I have no microphone anymore).
It's all in the #minecraft room, under the gaming dropdown. The stuff you need will all be in the pins for the room.
My YouTube channel took off a year or so ago when I moved from pointless gaming videos to narrations, and the discord got pretty big, so there's a few extra rooms for other topics.
I saw this mod when I was a kid, a YouTuber made a showcase of this mod. I had no idea that this thread actually exists. The MineFantasy I knew from childhood can be find on 9minecraft (the version on 1.5.2, the one with Zyrridium). Later I discovered MineFantasy II, and finally, when I discovered this thread I started searching for something interesting in here, and I found mangoose. He uploaded some kind of... a renewed (for me) version of MineFantasy on version 1.6.4. I have no idea what was actually going on here. I just recognise three versions of MineFantasy: MineFantasy (1.5.2 by AnonymousProductions), MineFantasy Reforged (1.6.4 by mangoose) and MineFantasy II. Maybe I'm calling them wrongly, but that's what was left and abandoned... Though yes, some guy is remaking MineFantasy II for 1.12.2, but it's just not the same... The MineFantasy versions that I really love are only the two first ones. Not that I mean it's bad. Sirse also made something amazing.
Well, maybe I just said "is making" wrongly. After all he was planning to, wasn't he?
I've debated trying to independently update Minefantasy I to 1.12.2 (I don't play newer versions, and modding them is harder), I'm just not sure I'd want to commit myself to that. To make things worse, I've been having a lot of trouble with eclipse on my current system. (Alternately, if I could backport Climatic Biomes to 1.6.4 I'd just play the Minefantasy beta 1.0, perhaps with bug fixes, with the improved world.) But realistically, I don't see this being updated.

Thanks! I'm probably done with 1.6.4 for now, but next time I work on MF1, I'll look into incorporating some of mfbridge's features into mfcompat.

Looks like I'm running 1.3.7a. I was surprised I still had it installed.

A server you say? is it public? if it is i wouldn't mind playing this 5 year old mod... again.

Just made a minor update to my MineFantasy fork. It fixes a crash with Biomes O' Plenty and fixes pigs not dropping pig hide.

My favourite mod, I feel so nostalgic when I play it. And I'm suprised at what happened with it. mangoose is even making a remake.
Mangoose is making a remake? I've thought of it but have never committed to it.
Hmm...
