In all the 1.3 madness I've neglected this mod but once a few things update I'll be back to playing with this mod. No clue about when Forge updates. I'm waiting on Forge too so some of my favorite mods that use it can then update.

Well I'll most likely update it the same day minecraft forge updates! (But that might be a while )
This is exactly what I was looking for. I just hope that version for 1.3 will come soon - My modpack really needs this mod, without it, my map would not be the same.
Great work.!
Thanks! I'm glad that people are actually still paying attention to this mod! Thanks!
I don't think this is anything like the Extra Blocks mod. That one has blocks that are specific things, this one lets YOU decide what the blocks look like.

First of all, this is an outstanding mod! I've wanted extra Doors for a long time.
However, the "can't place stairs/slabs" upside down is truly a killer. I simply will not use those blocks without that ability. They may as well not exist if you don't have the expected functionality, y'know?
Other than that, I think people will want these for survival mode, and in order to make that work, you kinda need to have control over how fast the blocks break, and what tools work on them.
It doesn't work with RedPower (a forge mod) because it loads BEFORE RedPower gets a chance to put in the blocks - therefore, it cannot find RedPower's block ids and claims they don't exist. (or at least, this is my deduction)

I know, I know, I'm workin on it... I've actually been trying to get that to work for quite a bit! I'll need to ask for some help in the modding help section of the forums :3

Sorry, but I don't know how I can allow the user to configure certain statistics of the mod. (I don't know how to link it with a config file)
I guess I should recommend it. People have been asking for custom recepies for thesse blocks for a while, but once again, I don't know anything about config files.

okay, but that's not my fault, it's Forge's problem :3 Try reporting this to the making of Minecraft Forge. He might fix it if you ask him to
To clarify, the Custom Block Mod works fine with RedPower.
What I meant in my previous post is that the Custom Recipes mod doesn't work with RedPower, which suggests Custom Recipes may not work with the Custom Block Mod either, due to in-built loading order. (And yes, it's forge's fault)
Also, I know that none of your Custom Block Mod blocks generate in the world, and I was suggesting you keep it this way.
Edit: Can you please post which block IDs your mod uses in the OP? Based on the errors I'm getting, it seems like it uses a lot.

Okay, do you know how to read java code? I could give you the source code, but I'm too tired right now to post all them, and My internet's going out soon so I don't have much time. Here's the source code download for the latest 1.2.5 version. Sorry, but that's all I can do for now!
I don't get one of your T&Cs. It says that I cannot make a block transparent unless it is a designated transparent block. Surely that is only defined by texture? It seems as if you are limiting how people can be creative instead of just putting the block out for us to texture ourselves.
Umm... I'm not quite sure what you mean, but that's the whole point of this mod... so that you can texture the backs YOURSELF. And no, whether the block can handle transparency or not is hard-coded into the mod. This is the code that allows compatability for transparent textures,
public boolean isOpaqueCube()
and that is only coded into the glass blocks. If I missed something, then please be more specific, or more clear of what you want me to explain. Thanks!
Yay! Forge is Updated to 1.3.1, but their releases are a bit unstable at the moment. I'll try my best to get my mod updated to 1.3.1 as soon as possible, but Forge is releasing a new version every day, so I think I might hold off a bit. But like I said, I can, and probably will release a 1.3.1 version as soon as I can! Thanks for your patients!
Okay guys, I'm going on vacation for this week, but I'll be returning soon, and I'll be working on updating the mod as soon as possible. For now, You could try using MCNostalgia to downgrade to 1.2.5, OR you could download any download file of your choice, Make the textures, and when I'm done updating the mod, you can merge the texture files with the new ones to keep your textures. Thanks, and sorry for the inconvenience!
Hey, don't know if this was planned, but I think a config file should be included in the 1.3.2 update where you can change the name and material of the block. makes for easy renaming. (I havent tried this mod yet so I dont know if there is, but disregard this message if it is. :))

Sorry, there isn't a config file, and there might never be one because it's too complex for my brain to make one (Sorry if that sounds noobish)
Also, the layout for MCP 7.2 is weird for 1.3.2 so It may take a bit more time for me to figure out how to update it. sorry!
Guys, if you're good at java code , and not noobish like me, than GO HERE! Lol, and when you see it you'll me like, wtf? How does this guy have a mod like this but he's SOOOO stupid

but cool nontheless...
hmm... Never heard of it. But I'll check it out!
Excellent point!

As for recipes, you ought to recommend Custom Recipes: http://www.planetminecraft.com/mod/custom-recipes/, but please try it before you recommend it!

If it works, though... go for it!
Also, don't add blocks that will generate in the world. There's already a program to help you do that.

Umm... I'm not sure what you're talking about. None of there blocks will just randomly generate, the player must place it in order for it to generate.
But on a side note, Thanks for the great feedback!
