for installing, I think you are supposed to install mod loader first if anyone is having trouble... the directions say to install it second.
I found a ruined house with a lot of bookshelves on the second floor, using it as my house atm
and is there any way to get food easier? the only food I am finding is from zombies and chests
Try looking for an oasis. They're small but sometimes have grass. If you get at least 1 seed you can expand from that and start growing a lot of wheat. That's how my friend and I are living lmao.

WOOAH! If anybody finds an oasis, you have the MOST luck in the world. They are EXTREMELY RARE, actually, so rare I hardly believe they spawn AT ALL!
To survive, try to find those abandoned buildings with the basement, because the chest can have seeds and sometimes the basement is filled with water.

ALRIGHT, alright already! Okay, so first things first:
1. SMP
2. Compatibility
3. GUI option, because not only have you guys suggested it, but also many people I know have
4. Wasteland Animal, so you don't have to starve to death in first few hours of playing this mod
5. New ruins, better ruins and maybe A LOT less rubble
Now, out of all the stuff on the list, number 1 is TOP PRIORITY, 4 will probably done before everything though, because it's so easy and simple, 5 will come out in the next MAJOR update of the mod, 3 is like my child project, 2 is sort of in the middle.
Again, thanks for all the support and ideas, I am definitively going to try to make compatibility and stuff.

OK maybe your first priority right now should be forge compatibility I'm not going to tell you what to do but being that "Flan's mod" (only mod with modern guns currently and of course planes >_>) uses forge and not to mention both Buildcraft and Industrial Craft use it I would say that it is quite important. Whether you decide to do that before or after smp support is your choice personally I would go with forge first.
EDIT: Oh and it's also incompatible with Optifine too that's nice, really no offence I'm just not in a great mood right now. Oh and on the note of smp (I haven't tried it with this version) why exactly wouldn't it work on a vanilla server? or when you say smp do you mean bukkit support?

No problems with Optifine here. I agree, I would like forge compatibility, this mod plays beautifully with IC2.
Are you using the Standard edition? I haven't tested the smooth or multi-core versions all I know is that Optifine A11 and A6 standard versions don't work for me.
I really love this mod, and can't wait for SMP so I can play with my friends.

Maybe make a (separate or not) bukkit plugin that just has the world generator?
Also, I haven't noticed any of the dungeons being "modified."
I've found around 25-30 and their all normal. (aka no special loot or beds)

Question: I was collecting the stone from a destroyed house when a creeper wandered out of a cave. It seemed completely uninterested in me. It didnt blow up or come at me till i got right up against its face. Is that suppose to happen?
To make it still easily compatible with SMP so should you try and use as much of vanilla MC as possible.
So no new blocks and so on.
So my suggestion is that you make Cow spawn on Dirt or something. (Which makes it like a Brahmin from Fallout)

His code must've edited mine, or vice versa, because its talking about some mysterious field "f".
To fix, you probably need to start with a fresh jar and then install either Rei's or Wasteland.That's the easiest way, the other way requires you to alter code and such so good luck!

Thank you so much for reviving this mod... I'm so glad to have it back. I do have it working with Forge though... Right now I am running with Modloader, ModloaderMP, Forge and Wasteland loaded into the .jar, and Buildcraft, Industrialcraft, Redpower, Laser mod, crafting guide and ropes+ in the mod folder, and it is working fine. I had to cut out some of my usual mods because they didn't work and caused conflicts or crashes. Or just didn't feel appropriate for a post apocalyptic scenario. So far so good though... Taming the broken world and trying to restore civization, one peice of salvaged equipment at a time...
