This looks pretty interesting. As i am just coming back from a few month break, i'll be trying to play with this a bit. I normaly use mine colony to build up towns and such, so this should be fun to play with.
From the sounds of it, when you make buildings and stuff, it doesnt use resources. Do you have plans in the future of having a option to toggle to use resources?
The thought had crossed my mind.. To allow a 'slightly less lazy' option that would require/consume the resources used for the structure you make. The math and code to do this would be pretty easy, the main problem is that you would have to fill your whole inventory with blocks if you wanted to make even a moderate size structure.
The number of blocks used is much more than you probably realize, and requiring them would inherently put a limit on the size of structures you could create, since the inv only has so many slots. Player has 36 total inv slots, -1 for the item itself gives (35 * 64 = 2'240) blocks for building, which is not enough in my opinion. I may add this feature in the future, but don't hold your breath waiting for it!
Why thank you. But must I ask please go check out my channel as I have many minecraft install vids, and can learn how to install many more.
p.s.( When I got home today. I had 61 veiws! It started with 2)
I suppose I could, though it would take a bit of time to do. This will be added to the list of features to add, after the available structure list is complete and the options menu has been switched over to a GUI. Thanks for your input.
Also im currently making a video for this mod and ill post it in few days .
Great! I will be waiting patiently.
----- Side note ----
Version 1.1 should be released in a few days. I'm just finishing up work on the 'round type' structures, such as cylinder rooms with the option of dome or cone shaped roof as well as 3 different roof fill options. Also adding hollow or filled half spheres (pos and neg) and full sphere shapes just for fun.

This has been a lifesaver for Minecolony; I was able to quickly block out the grid for the town and place the chests for each building in such a way that they lined up with each other. I'm eager to test out the rest of the features, but purely as a quick way to build a grid it's incredibly useful. Hopefully I'll get some screenshots in for you soon.
EDIT:
That last picture was a test; you can use Town Builder with Little Blocks. I could see that being useful for making little chimneys on houses, or really intricate fountains. The fountains I made used the negative and positive pyramids; aside from the bonemeal, everything you see was done with this mod. Took a little over an hour to do once I actually sat down to do it
Very nice! Good example of what can be done with Town Builder, and in just an hour. I'm glad you pointed out an additional use for neg pyramid, it is quite useful for making ponds/pools. I have never tried that micro blocks mod, but I must say it is awesome to see it used to make a Town Builder house.
:UPDATE:
Town Builder v1.1 was just released. Check OP for download and see Structure Guide for images and info on the new structures.
Features Added:
- 8 new round structures! (see structure #13 to 20)
- God-Mode (G key), to make building in survival mode just as easy as it is in creative mode.
- Added 2 new build options, and changed existing ones a bit. Nothing you will notice though.
- Fixed a few minor issues found in v1.0.
Enjoy!

::UPDATE::
I finally made a video of Town Builder in use, watch it below or on the OP. The video shows how to build most of the structures, and gives you an idea of how simple it is to use the mod. I am working on another video also, that will show more advanced usage, I will post that one in a few days. I'm new to youtube and I have an old PC, so I hope you won't be too critical of the video.

I'm always starting new games in addition to the huge builds. I generally run 60-70 mods. For me, there are mods I like and mods that I have to install. This one has become absolutely imperative. This is a fantastic mod. Excellent work.

Thank you! I'm glad you find it useful, it means alot to me.
If there are any features you need or want in the mod, just let me know, I need good feedback so I can make further improvements.
