i wish it was that easy.
the way it works is that the models are static, so thats not possible. i had a way working, but sumthin about the texture or the model of charmeleon wasn't working
Then whatabout killing the entity and spawning the evolved pokemon at the coords where the old one was and somehow transfering the data from one pokemon to another?

A signature was supposed to be here but your computer decided not to show it.
turns out it was the texture, i fixed it, but still having problems with the entities themselves. reworking the evolving system, will have to change the making pokemon tutorial when i am done.

oh... it was? what was wrong with it, so that maybe i can prevent that in the future..

Check your skype. I've sent you a couple of things

Remember how you mentioned that when you recall your pokemon, you make them invisible, which was cause for the shadow glitch?
I have another with recalling pokemon lol. Just check this out, it's kinda funny.
So. Bouncing arrows, eh? lol. I was just messing around, seeing what havoc and bug's I could cause when I stumbled across this. I sent my charmander after a skele. After seeing how outmatched he was, I recalled him. Weird thing was, the skele kept firing where charmander last stood. He completely ignored everything else but that spot.
Here is the thing. I know I can add more, but I'm trying not to. What I am trying to do is have a consistent art and model style along with it being well.. minecraft. I'm trying to keep the feel of minecraft while also bringing pokemon into the mix. Lol, how weird would it be to see a perfect model of ponyta running across a blocky field.
Now, what i do plan to do is go back, add critical things I've missed with models, maybe even redo some if they aren't good. but first off, I'd like to get a decent majority done. Luckily i'm not the only one working on them, so that shouldn't be too bad.
OK! New release, please get it! And yes, I know the Ivysaur leaves are buggy, that needs to be fixed.
haha, you weren't kidding was that something on my part? oh! and if you need help positioning them in game, woruld a screenshot containing coordinates and positions help?
You have no idea how cool it is to see these in game though haha, at least for me. Since I cant code, or at least not well, I could never do this. I'll have Wartortle to you soon too
Just one last thing! found a very minor bug, its honestly not a big deal at all.
I had renamed my charmander to charmander!, and whn it eveolved, the name in the console changed to charmander!!
I know, stupid and minor, just thought it should be known.

<snip>
that would probably be a bug having to do with the changing names. I set it so that when your pokemon evolves, it keeps its nickname, which should be null or "". i can take a look at it!

Like i said, its not that big of an issue! No worries haha! anyways, sneak preview of wartortle
I still need to do details and his tail, but its coming along. Oh. and im happy to report pokemon are spawning in the game at correct sizes
Hmmm.....Oh Hello! Don't mind me, just checking out the thread. Who am I? I was on the team, for the original Pixelmon. I am proud that someone has taken the torch. May I add, that, the reason our mod failed, was a lack of organization, and morale decreased after Claw left for a few months(And Pokemobs fiasco). I was disheartened beyond belief, and had no desire to remake it. My reasons were mainly "I just spent 4 months of my life for nothing." after the Pokemobs fiasco. I'll be honest, I wanted nothing to do with the project, even when a few of the other members showed interest in a revival...However, it's good to see that someone has taken up Pokemon Modding in the name of Pixelmon. I have no clue whether the other members of the old crew have responded Hey there Mark!
I can help you out, a little bit if you like. I have text documents of stuff we wanted to do with Pixelmon, but never got around to doing...Like the spawning gyms and poke centers and such....However I must warn you spawning code for buildings is either really hard, or really easy, but we never got around to it, which was something I really wanted.
I can't wait for more of this...Maybe I'll reconsider throwing my hat into the pokemon mod ring. Who knows.
EDIT: Also I realize, this is your mod, so I know I can't force you to follow what we wanted....Maybe that's why we died? Either way, pursue the mod as you please, I love it so far.

hey! It's nice to meet another original member (: I hope I'm doing well with the models haha. Honestly, I'm interested where things are headed and I'm glad I can help, even if it isn't that labor intensive as coding. I hope this time everyone will stick around, here's hoping huh? lol. I know I will.

Oh trust me, modeling is just as important. But your right, it's not as labor intensive as coding, but still fairly difficult...At least to me:/

Honestly, it's not extremely difficult for me... Its a pleasant challenge lol. But you can see the screen's ive posted of the models themselves to see if they are good or not \
Oh! and I have a question regarding texturing. I'm just curious if I could split one "pixel" for multiple colors. I don't believe I can, because of minecrafts rendering system. I'm only curious because that would help with getting minor details down. Its not a problem if not, just a curious question
Okay. Regarding texturing the wortortle. The face man... always giving me trouble. I just want opinions. I'm going to upload two. One with large eyes, the other small. Just a warning, I still need to do his tail, so its not in the pic's.
Idk.. I'm kinda leaning towards the second for eye's. lol, but anyways. On top of that, The model has gotten brighter textures then the last pic. They were a bit too dull.
Then whatabout killing the entity and spawning the evolved pokemon at the coords where the old one was and somehow transfering the data from one pokemon to another?
Well, can you get the charmeleon to spawn at all? Im just curious if its the model or the code, no offense
oh... it was? what was wrong with it, so that maybe i can prevent that in the future..

Details, details...I must say though, this looks rather nice. Really, an awesome job.

And thank you for the compliment! Any criticism about models come's right to me, so don't be afraid to mention something if you think it's off.
