Currently, Special Mobs.
The Loot Mod compiles and runs fine (but does almost nothing since most of its code hasn't been rewritten), Utility Mobs is still full of errors - it's taking a while because it's I'm no longer familiar with the code and it's so poorly commented. The good news is, after Utility Mobs does compile, it should be basically finished for a partial release.
Utility mobs looks very very interesting, and it got me very excited until i realised it wasn't updated.
Also, why is dynamite and whatnot not throwable in dungeon crawler?
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
Stop treating mod devs poorly. These people mod as a hobby or as a service to the community, they don't have to take your suggestion and you are not entitled to anything from them.

Dynamite isn't throwable, because he hasn't made it throwable yet. ATM you can only use it for mines. He is planning on making dynamite, endomite, and blazeomite (I just completely made up those names) either throwable or placeable in the next couple of updates.

And this pretty much answers that other question, only I just call them improvised bombs, and they will definitely become placeable as I get closer to releasing the mod. I'm not sure if I will make them throwable.
Do you think will ever add special silverfish? I always liked how they were added in, but I never got to see them much minus adventure/survival maps.
And maybe special slimes/magma slimes since the new update made slimes spawn more constantly.
Maybe even special witches, warlocks, wizards, whatever?
Yeah, I could possibly add special silverfish. I never see any, but maybe I'll be able to add a way to see more of them.
And yeah, going to do the slimes. After the AI update, I'll finish up cave spiders and blazes first, though.
Maybe special witches. They are pretty rare, though, so they are a low priority.
I hope you enjoy it! Even though it's in beta, it's got a few cool features.

Blazes? FatherToast did you just give us a hint to a new Special Mob?
Hah, maybe. By the way, Utility Mobs compiles without any errors now, but it kinda doesn't work well. Not really well at all, actually.
Ah. I hope you can get them working. It was a fun mod to play around with. Especially since Vanilla made Snow Golems more realistic and had them burn to death in anywhere that wasn't snowy and Iron Golems take a while.
Also I am happy to see the players drop heads mod. I was thinking someone would do it eventually, but I wasn't sure who. Glad to see it was you. How difficult would it be to make it client-side? Not saying you have to, I was just curious of course. Keep up the good work!
:You certainly got my approval!
: and Mr. Pig sure is hard to approve. Heheheheh.

Me too! I don't know why it isn't working right, but hopefully it won't take too long. Part of it is I'm just in the middle of re-writing code.
Also, thank you!
The Player Heads mod can't be just client-side, but if you install it, it will work in single-player. You have to set PvP-only to false, and your own head can drop when you die. I was thinking about making an option to have mobs drop their heads, too, though.
Just downloaded Dungeon Crawler, it LOOKS amazing. Can't wait till I can install it, I pray it works alongside the rest of the mods I run lol. Also, someone mentioned silverfish, it would be cool if you came up with a "silverfish" landmine.

Silverfish mine? That has to be the second most amazing mine that I have ever heard! The second would most likely be the Greed Mine, which kills mobs and freezes them into Golden Statues. Doubt he would add that in, the Greed Mine but it still sounds amazing lol.

It should work with any mods that are compatible with Forge and either don't use the same item IDs or have configurable item IDs. (Dungeon Crawler IDs will be configurable when I release the mod, of course! :P)

I agree - that'd be kinda awesome. I think I can make "neutral" silverfish that will attack whatever steps on the mine just by altering their AI. Well, that is if they use the updated AI, otherwise it would have to be a new entity all together.
And hah, no, I won't. Mostly because I have no idea how I would make them into golden statues.
I just made an AI pattern I particularly like. It's called "throw".
When a mob with this AI is attacking you, it will look around for other hostile mobs, run to them, pick them up, and throw them at you.
When I'm finished, special mobs will each have an extra AI pattern like that, offering different abilities or tactics. Most jumping (charging, leaping, etc.) mobs will be removed and replaced by this AI system. The chance for each special AI will of course be configurable.

Oh great, now I get to die because something chucked a creeper at me.....lol

I have never had such a combination of amazement and utter minecraft terror.

EDIT: Decided I'd try it right away. Turns out, it's pretty simple! I've got a version of Lava Monsters that works on a dedicated server now. I'll just release SMP-compatible versions of my mods all at once.
Also, I have apparently been double-registering all my entities and making them send a lot more updates than needed - that will fix, too.
Awesome! I'm really glad it turn out well for you. Gonna try those mods right away since I can now add them to my server!

Wow that rainbow text took a long time to write.

Haha, yeah. That's always been a dream of mine. Or a nightmare.
Bwahaha! This is just one of several devious AI tricks in store.
Also, that one tiny rainbow line is a giant block of text in reply mode!
Yes, thank you! I hope you like them!
