Update on the Mod Pack I just obtained a new mod for the Pack the mod by ITOS http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/942465-125-sspsmp-mountable-blocks-api-and-sitable-chairs/ the mountable blocks mod now you can sit on any block that... I CHOOSE. YAY! anyway idk even know if I should even make an alpha version download to this lets just call this the indev of this nameless pack I hope you enjoy. Mind you these are the only mods I managed to get permission for. Btw this will automatically take you to 1.2.5 so you don't have to get mcnostalgia to downgrade. The installation instructions will be on the page as well as the download which will be up momentarily sadly no SMP version yet.
Thanks!
Oh! And I have a new mob suggestion.
Fast and furious, the lava creeper comes at you!
Not only does he run a bit faster, but also does he emit lava after exploding!
He's not good at staying in groups, though. If he's in a group with other creepers, he might emit lava on them too after exploding!
Although, it is brutal if a fire creeper and lava creeper explode at the same time... Double the explosion, fire and lava everywhere, the fire creeper and the lava creeper make a great team!
btw I don't know if a Lava Creeper is a good idea to add I mean he already has the fire creeper as well a dirt creeper one thing he doesn't need is some trolls and elemental creeper fanatics to start screaming "YOU DOUCHE! YOU ARE STEALING FROM ELEMENTAL CREEPERS! GET YOUR OWN IDEAS" blah blah blah however I think something that could be interesting is a snail creeper, which is a creeper that slows you down when near it until it blows up and does low damage (it is more of a support mob to other enemy mobs) combine that with any creeper and you are screwed!
Or a sick creeper, which inflicts a random effect on you after exploding. Or, if you know how to make animations, the headbutting creeper, if you get TOO close, he'll swing his head at you.
Oh and I got a client which allows me to choose to use the 1.2.5 jar file or the 1.3.1 jar file.
So I have my 1.2.5 jar inside the bin folder, named as 1.2.5, not minecraft. I also have 1.3.1 jar file named as 1.3.1 inside my bin folder. The client then recognizes all the jar files in the bin folder, and allows me to choose which jar file to use as the "minecraft" jar file. It's pretty legit, I'll post the link in a spoiler, give me a sec.

That's what the ice enderman is for
Not only does he support other mobs, he inflicts the same damage as a normal enderman, which makes him both an aggressive mob, AND a support mob.
And Father Toast, I'll post the sneak peaks of the mobs soon, and I gave up on MCDungeon, it took me a really long time to find a previous version for 1.2.5, (They've updated.) and it didn't look like it was MCDungeon... And there wasn't any instructions either.
Thanks!

I want to stay away from lava, it can get kinda annoying.
I kinda want to get good enough at coding to give mobs a team mentality. However, until then, I have a diabolical idea for a new mob - this will be secret until I release it.

Aww yeah, another mod added to the pack! This should totally become a server pack. Once the mods are MP compatible, of course.
So, far, we'd be able to kill crazy mobs all night and sit down to have tea in the morning... wait, no tea mod. We can drink milk instead.

I agree with the thing about having too many creepers like Elemental Creepers. Though, I looked at a mod video of Elemental Creepers out of curiosity, and I feel like the modder would have named it Griefer Creepers if that name wasn't already taken by one of Risugami's mods.
Hmm, interesting. With the coding I had to do to make dirt creepers and improve doom creepers, it wouldn't be too hard to make a creeper that applied potion effects (such as slowness) with its explosion.

Yeah, I might make a creeper that applies effects with its explosion in the future. Maybe an ice, poison, ink, or something. Who knows?
Looking forward to seeing the mobs! MCDungeon was kinda confusing at first, but it looks like a lot has changed since I downloaded it. The website isn't even the same one!
Your Special Mobs mob is great! I have one question, though: is it possible to set a monster's rarity to below zero? Could I set Ancient Zombie to 0.4 if I feel like he spawns too often, and he would still spawn at all?

Thank you! Unfortunately, the spawn rate must be a whole number. However, you can raise the spawn rate of everything else until ancient zombies are as rare as you want! Don't worry, you won't end up with a billion mobs running around, the spawn rates don't affect how many mobs spawn, just the types that do.

Actually there is a thirst mod that I have been having my testers well... test and wouldn't you know it? It actually has tea. DUNNNNN DUNNNN DUNNNNNNNNNNNN!
also server wise I will be unleashing- I mean releasing the SMP version of the Mod Pack around the same time as the SSP the only thing is that they won't be the same mods of course, but ah well
I'm using Utility Mobs. I am building a castle, then having it invaded. Then I will have the guards set to kill me and I will try to defeat the castle myself.
Ermm, Father Toast, Mod-Loader is updated to 1.3.1, I think now is a good time to update. And I think mobs glitch out when I attack them probably when they updated to 1.3.1, their system that disallows mobs to attack you in creative got kinda messed up. I think this is the reason why because the same mob glitches happened on my friends' computers, and zombies attacked villagers like they should, so they might fix this glitch in the next Minecraft update, and now I know that if I want to attack mobs, to do it in survival.. In 1.3.1. Oh by the way you should check out that launcher that I mentioned above in the other post, the one that allows you to choose which jar file you would like to use.

Haha, well of course. How can you have a thirst mod without the second most popular drink in the world (second to water, lol)?
Make Your Choice and Change the Mod Pack FOREVER! MMMMMMMAGIC MISSLE!
I shall decide tomorrow! I don't have time to read up and/or try them right now, just got off work and have less than 7 hours to sleep before I have to go back to work.

Good! I'll do it soon, I get off early tomorrow and then have the next two days off, so plenty of time to mod coming up!
I'll try the launcher tomorrow. It sounds like a great way to swap between mod setups!
Just been browsing through the mods section of late, this is the first mod in the first 5 pages to actually get me pumped I've been wanting something like this ever since they mentioned they were working on "prefix" mobs, but they only got around to doing one, the cave spider. The loot mod looks EXTREMELY cool, by the way. Very original, and it should make the game a lot more fun to play!

i have special mobs and utility mobs and from what ive seen and tried i think it very impressive, id like if you could make more utility mobs that arent turrets.

I'm glad you like them! I'll definitely look into adding more golems, is there anything in particular you'd like to see added?
Hmm, yeah, I like the idea of an anti-creeper golem. It might be suicidal like creepers, too.
Awesome! And maybe a golem that can survive lava as well. That way people can have lava moats that golems can cross to get to the mobs on the other side!
