Alright I have a question since I am basically an idiot and I dont understand half of what is being said here.
Currently I have a Better than Wolves Build for 1.3.2 and I also have some mods that are Modloader only but not Lan. Will this allow those mods to work in Lan?
You can use this because FML 1.3.2 is included in the mod. Also Minecraft Forge will not work with Better Than Wolves because FlowerChild is acting like a child and programmed his mod to not work with Forge.

I suppose FlowerChild may have had a point when it came to OP-ness and reasonable progression of the mod...
Ecu seems to be coming around to the same line of thought too, although he's responding by nerfing his own mod.
Does BTW actually work with FML, though? I would think not, but if it was just an install of FML and not Forge itself, could it?
Can end-users actually install just FML easily?

Yes, it is official, FML is updated to 1.4. Grab the MCP 7.17 pre release to build your mod for 1.4. Changes haven't been massive.. most of your stuff should 'just work'

Thank you for actually using the pre-release for what it is intended for: updating the API libraries before the release is official!
To be honest I wasn't expecting either Searge to actively promote me or risu to take this long updating the other mod loader.
To those looking at using FML to replace their Risugami ModLoader dependency, I provide a 100% compatible API- you can find basemod, modloader, and all your modloader favourites. Installation is different though- download the "fml-src" package from github (I always recommend the latest), extract to an MCP workspace, and run the "install.sh/bat" script to set up a decompiled workspace. You DO NOT need to decompile FML- I provide you with the complete source code. If you wish to do a total replacement mod, you can even include it in your mod - it is allowed to be redistributed along with other code (it is under the LGPL license- as long as you provide access to the FML source code, you can ship it with anything you build without having to release your own source code).
Because FML remerges the client and server into a single source tree, you *will* require both client and server to be present in your MCP workspace. You will also notice that most of the minecraft code ends up in "common", not minecraft or minecraft_server. This is because it is the result of merging the client and server codebases together.
For those of your converting from Risugami's ModLoader, you'll notice that I try to encourage good programming practice- like NOT putting your code into the "net.minecraft.src" package- when you run in eclipse, you'll see a (not so) friendly warning that this is a bad idea. You DON'T have to act on it if you don't wish to, though if you wish to switch to using Minecraft Forge, it is highly advised.
Finally, THIS IS NOT MINECRAFT FORGE. You do not have access to all of the clever brilliant work that is available there. If you wish to use Minecraft Forge, go download it. It is available at http://files.minecraftforge.net/
There is a bug that cause Minecraft to crash if I drop item added by mod. (2nd spoiler)
The crash doesn't occur if I drop any vanilla items. It happens if I drop any items added with mod.
Also, the item icon somehow appeared over leather tunic. (Image in 1st spoiler)
I was going to make bone tools and armor mod but the pickaxe icon over leather tunic is annoying. How can I fix it?
Minecraft has crashed!

cpw, you also forgot to mention the universal distribution method.
(In regard to a mod that gives realistic animal genetics):
Would you really rather have bees that make diamonds and oil with magical genetic blocks?
... did I really ask that?
As BTW is designed for LAN/SMP, it should work.

You don't say?
Hence the name Forge Mod Loader.

It is compatible with all current launchers, including Magic Launcher and MultiMC. It is also completely compatible with Optifine.

You can't change it, It's always the mods directory inside the minecraft directory ( .minecraft/mods )
