Oh wow this is updated already, good job man. I am still not sure if I want to update to 1.3 though, why no ad fly link dude? I would like to support you a bit, I know some people doesn't like it so keep the mediafire too for those.
I don't want this mod to be supporting me. I just want people to enjoy the mod.
Damn because i dont like forge... OH well mabee il set up a seperate client using magiclauncher
Why not? Forge will work with all of your ModLoader mods. Anyways for the next update, I will rewrite the mod to support both the client and server jar.
I won't make milk bottle cure you cause it is only 1/3 of a bucket. I want to make a mcmod.info file but don't how. Could you tell me.
This is Iron Chests's mcmod.info file:

Yea i know it will but i have mods that require a manual installation and normally i just compile them all in with mcpatcher but when i install them with forge they dont work for some reason
Quit using MCPatcher and install all your mods manually. This way the mods will work better. Using mcpatcher stuffs up everything.
You know how it says: "Put in _mods folder." Drag the ThirstMod folder in it to ./minecraft/mods/
I don't think his method of install is the issue in this case. I installed the normal way and I'm having the same issue with no thirst indicator. I wondered if it was because I was using an HD Texture pack, but I swapped to the default and still had the issue. I'm using Optifine to enable HD textures and it was causing some errors with the Xtra Blocks mod and their re-colored water, I don't know if that would be why it's causing some people problems and not others.

Try run minecraft with just recommended forge and this and report back results.

Just tried it. I removed everything, went from a clean .jar. I only had Forge, Forge Modloader and Thirst Mod and I still have the white box where the droplets should be. This is a puzzle. Totally not giving up on this though 'cause it's too good of a mod to do that on. Thirst is something I think should be in vanilla, to be honest.
And the rest of the mod works and everything. I get thirsty, I can drink, collect rain, brew drinks...just can't see the droplet graphic.

Okay I put up new install instructions which will hopefully get the mod working with textures. But if it doesn't do the following two things:
1. Take a picture of your /minecraft/mods directory.
2. Take a picture of your /minecraft/mods/ThirstMod.
And then put them in a comment here so I can determine the problem. Just to let you know I just redownloaded the ThirstMod from here then I tried to install on Mac and Windows (With forge) and everything worked.
You realize that's exactly how I've been installing this mod from the get-go, right?
I don't think that I really need to post screencaps because I figured out a fix on my own. I went into my texture pack and made a new folder system "ThirstMod/textures" and tossed the water drop file into it. Boom, like magic it showed up in game correctly.
I don't know if the mod is looking for the file in the wrong place or what, but that's my current fix for the issue. Hope it helps someone else, too.

And I'm running Ubuntu Linux, just for the record.

I still don't have a clue about whats wrong. It's not that its looking for the texture file in the wrong directory and shouldn't be a problem with your operating system. Did you try run the game without any texture pack? That may be the problem otherwise it probably a problem with your operating system cause I have not tested on it.

I tried it with the default textures just now and it didn't work. It went back to being a blank white section. Flipped back to my texture pack and it's fine again. It's confusing as heck, I'll give it that. XD The whole 'working when it's in the texture pack' is what made me wonder if it was looking in the wrong place. :\
I don't mind having to drop the textures in so long as it works. It's not that hard to do, really.

Could you put up a blank zip containing just the droplet textures so I could put it up on the main post for people to download in case the textures don't work. BTW does /Thirstmod/thirstmod/textures/ contain thirstBar.png

There's the .zip file you asked me for. I tried to preserve the folder structure so that people could just drop the contents into their texture pack if they needed to.
I also thought maybe it was looking in the wrong place because I peeped at the code and it's referencing to "!/ThirstMod/textures/thirstBar.png" I thought maybe it should have been looking for "/ThirstMod/thirstmod/textures/thirstBar.png". But even when I made a folder in the ThirstMod folder for the textures it still didn't show up. Only when I stuck it in the texture pack. I'm not a coder by any stretch of the word, though, so I'm probably wrong. *chuckles*
Let’s play good guys against bad guys… Yes. Let’s play that. Are you ready? You’re the bad guy. And when you’re bad, you just run. That’s fine right? Well… Shall we play?

No it must not say /ThirstMod/thirstmod/textures/thirstBar.png cause the root is /mods/ThirstMod/thirstmod/. But since your system may be case sensitive and I got to release a bug fix soon, I'll change "/ThirstMod/textures/thirstBar.png" to "/thirstMod/textures/thirstBar.png".
EDIT: THAT IS THE PROBLEM, ALL OTHER TEXTURES WORK FOR YOU CAUSE THEY ARE DEFINED: "/thirstmod/textures/icons.png". Next update should have that bug fixed. Thanks for staring at my code. (Don't worry i'm open source)

Yes, it sure does.
