It's an adorable mod. I added it to my Minecraft install last night, and fell in love with it right away. I particularly love the squirrels.
Can I suggest making it so that the proximity of a tamed wolf scares squirrels and sends them running? I think that would be a pretty funny thing to see. (EDIT: Oh, and an idea for squirrel drops would have to be seeds or cocoa beans, since Minecraft doesn't exactly have nuts.)
Could someone please make or link to a video showing how to install this mod? I've spent hours looking at videos and following tutorials and all it ever does is give me messed up mob skins or nothing at all. I have Modloader and Audiomod, so that's not the issue.
I will add one soon! Im busy with irl stuff but Ill find some time

Just put the mob skins in the mob folder and put all the .class files and the XOmods folder into your minecraft.jar.
An easier way is just compress all the files into a .zip file and put it in your mods folder.

I tried both of those ways, but it still doesn't seem to be working. Do I need to delete the META-INF folder?

ALWAYS delete the META-INF folder. It checks for any modifications to the minecraft.jar and if it finds any, it will stop Minecraft from running. This isn't a demonstration of Mojang's hatred for mods, but a safety device.
As for the mod, great job, I can't wait for some bigger creatures! As for squirrel drops, I suggest cocoa beans, seeds, or apples, stuff it would likely be hoarding.
Christianity in a nutshell: We have all sinned, so we deserve eternity in hell. But God (God the Father, God the Son, and the Holy Spirit) loved us so much he sent His Son to die for us, to take the punishment meant for us. All we need to do is accept it, and we have heaven headed our way.
http://www.minecraftwiki.net/wiki/Tree#oak trees
That's what the normal trees are: Oak XD.
Maybe instead of having apples drop out of oak trees, have nuts (.5% chance to keep the same ratio as apples in all other leaves) which heal slightly more than apples. The reason for low amount is because I hate to have 30 chests full of acorns that I'll never eat -__-
This would alter base classes of leaves though, so maybe adding a new type of tree altogether is the best idea. If you DO end up adding this new type of tree, it opens a door to a thousand other new leaves and trees (which is not something I think this mod sets out to do).
EDIT: So what does the squirrel official drop now??
Oh and I'm sure you're aware Davey, but keep an eye out for this thread: http://www.minecraft...gestion-thread/
They have some great ideas there for atmosphere animals like owls and armadillos.
Actually, the default is apple. They drop apples as of 1.2. Also, apples don't drop from other leaves. Only apple tree leaves. I don't want apple trees replaced with oak, though. I like apples! Also, I think sand cats should be added for deserts. Look them up on Wikipedia. The reason is because I don't live near a jungle biome, and I want ocelots.

Kangaroo rats for the desert would be nice too, but something else interesting would be Japanese giant salamanders that appear in rivers.
- This creature spawns in the desert
- Its rare
- It eats lizards
- It likes to roll up and then roll to dead bushes to destroy them
- When a player attacks it, or a hostile mob comes too close, it will roll up
Health etc:
- 5 hearts, 12 when it rolls up
- Wont get damage from cacti
- Move speed is a bit slower than the player, but when it rolls up (to punch a dead bush out of the ground) it will go a bit faster than spiders
Drops:
- It has a chance of dropping armadillo scales, you can hang these up (like paintings) and they will scare spiders within 5 blocks
- This bird spawns in forests or pinewood forests
- It flies up to a tree and then pecks on the wood of it (It can hold itself to the wood)
- It will barely touch the ground
- It will flee from squirrels
- When a player attacks it it will fly away, really fast
- It has 5% change of making a new block called "Nest" in trees, this block will spawn baby woodpeckers and can be "mined" with an axe
- It eats fireflies, butterflies and any other insect (that will be added in later updates)
Health etc:
- It has 4 health
- It should be fast
- It has a big chance to dodge arrows

If you need help, I would be glad to make the models and textures.
If you arent sure if Im able to make them, click my signature and decide :3
actually, adding more behaviors also can be a good way.
I saw one of your topic, that Mice live in a hole, and give them a cheese to make a fat tamed mice.
I support the 'ants'idea...queen...colony stuff.
but before this, I think that more behaviors are needed....
(sorry for bad english )
Silly.
Lolwut?!
Is that from other suggestions?
xD
I've decided that Seals would be epic.
Also snails. Just yes.
I tested 78% addiction on minecraftanonymous.net
i just love mods like these that add more creatures to the game
+1
Any upcoming features for later updates?
Thanks , yeh many features will be added in the future, like: More tameables, bug catching and probably a fictional mob expansion pack.
you never were alone in single player, what about herobrine?
