Why not?
Ok, a flamingo need a specific type of lake, but MC is not supposed to be a perfect replica of real life world.
I can suggest that an MC-flamingo can spawn in every water patch with depth of one block...
It's a nice model and a lovely animal... why loosing it?
Yeah, your right, that is a great model and it would be a shame to put it to waste.
By the way, when is Davey going to release the next update???? I'd really like to know.
Does anyone know how to make this mod work with Mo'Creatures as far as spawn rates go? I'm using the config named (special-extrabiomesxl) and it only spawns atmosmobs and regular mobs, but not any mo'creatures.
Hello,
I'm not sure if the bug I'm about to report was already fixed.
Scarecrow and Behive entities does not appear textured with the latest release of Atmosmobs (1.3.2b).
I've found that it's just a little pathname mistake.
In AtmosMobs Mod/atmosmobs/stationaries :
the files EntityAtmosBeehive.class and EntityAtmosScarecrow.class looks for their textures in /atmosmobs/stationary/[scarecrow|behive].png instead of looking in the right path (/atmosmobs/stationaries)
It seems that those are the only two entities in the stationaries folder with this bug (I just did some greps).
Hope this helps.
P.S.: I know nothing about Java, classes and their file formats. I'm not sure if I can correct the two files with a text editor, because those class file don't look like simple-text files... I'm not sure if an homemade fix will solve the problem...
(fixing the pathnames by hand by editing the classes with a simple text editor does not work... as you probably expected)
You mentioned grep. Are you on Linux? Have you tried using a hex editor instead? 'Ghex', 'wxHexEditor', or even plain old 'vi' could be used to try it out. I've yet to encounter any beehives, so I can't test it out personally.

If anyone needs more info just let me know.
It seems there is no spawn settings for Mo'Creatures in this config.
You should use F6 and add Mo'Creatures in spawn lists for each biome, or open config and add them there with notepad.

Whenever I open up F6, I can't seem to find any of the Mo'Creatures in the Spawnlist, and adding them in the config will be a real drag. Thanks anyways.

Oh that's because even the minimum deep of water in Minecraft is 1 meter, made the Flamingo as a pinky Swan instead.
Anyway I still hope for a way to resolve this problem.
I found out it is wasted the times to make this because no place is suitable for the Flamingo in Minecraft world, so I post it out here.
This would be perfect to use with the newest version of Biomes O Plenty when it is released. If these two mods support each other, it will take MC in a whole new direction.
So my cursory use of the search bar hasn't helped me with this; I have followed the installation instructions correctly (several times, might I add) yet the mod does not want to install; none of the mobs are spawning nor showing up in the GUI for MobSpawnControls. Is it perhaps Forge? I'm using version 6.6.1.528.
What do people think of my custom species creator idea? I've posted it twice and got no reply. My idea is that you create a text file in a special folder called species. You name it "crab 1" or "parrot 4". Then you go into it and type this
Size: (1-10 the normal animals would be 5.)
Texture source:(Something like C:/----------/appdata/roaming/...)
Rarity:(1-10 you can kind of get this)
Biomes: ( Just say Plains Ocean Desert or just say all)
Effects: (say a potion effect or nothing)
And then play the game and WOW!
So what do you guys think?
P.S what mob would spawn in the desert the ocean and plains? WHAT WAS I THINKING!

On our server we're having an issue where only certain mobs are spawning, despite most of them being enabled in the config. There are plenty of fireflies, bats, owls, and various fish. However, we have yet to see a single squirrel, rabbit, or frog, along with most types of daytime birds. Any ideas?
*orgasm* If you add sharks or dolphins or squids, I will never ever ever use Mo'Creatures and only use this and Primitive mobs. No offense on mo'creatures tho (i used to always play with MC so don't shun mi :c)
EDIT: As stated in the Primitive Mobs thread, I had a concern I would like to ask. How do we make Primitive Mobs and Atmosmobs work together? Should we install Atmosmobs, then get the special mobconfig from the list on the OP of Atmosmobs, THEN install Primitive Mobs after? Or do we have to manually switch on Primitive Mobs in MSC? MSC kinda suckie btw.

I'm having some problems.. None of the mobs will spawn on their own, I can get spawn eggs for them but, they won't just randomly spawn. I do actually have others mods installed, but they work fine together besides this problem, the other mods are Galacticraft and Render API. help

Still make more sense than pig and cow in jungle.

That has already been reported. Please read through the last few posts before you post a bug. For a temporary fix look on page 118.
