Hey, man. I love this mod. It's so dangerous for any world you share with other players.
I've had to put a blanket bad on the meteor TNT for both me and my housemates (with whom I share my SSP world via LAN) to avoid the destruction of the all of my everything and also everyone's everything.
I was messing around on my test world in creative using obsidian "focusing cones" to focus blasts (just a structure, not a block) for horizontal directional mining. When I finally worked my way up to meteor, you can imagine I was quite surprised by the destruction of both the obsidian focusing cone and every other block of everything other than bedrock for as far as I could see. This included lava and water, which I thought were immune to explosions.
This leads me to a question, what is the explosive strength of the meteor explosion? Obviously quite high, given obsidian's blast resistance is 4000. Or is it not technically an explosion and works slightly differently from the other explosions? Does the blast go through bedrock while leaving it unbroken? Or could a bedrock bunker be constructed to protect its contents from a meteor? Just to improve my understanding of your incredible mod.
Thanks for creating it.
Good question. What I do is set obsidian and water + lava to dirt resistance. In code I would do (for # (obsidian id)) let explosive resistance = Block.dirt, instead of "obsidian resistance"
Thank you.
I'm afraid I don't understand what you're saying.
Sorry to make you explain it further... Which number is explosive force? Normal TNT is 4, if I recall.
Thank you.
I'm afraid I don't understand what you're saying.
Sorry to make you explain it further... Which number is explosive force? Normal TNT is 4, if I recall.
So my Meteor TNT is 60.0 F, which would normally not do so much damage, but since I make every block the resistance of dirt, it adds up.
Being a nerd is noting to be ashamed of. Who made the internet? Nerds. Who made computers and tablets? Still nerds. Who made every game you played in your life and ever will? Nerds, nerds, and more nerds. I am a nerd and I'm proud to be one.
Is there a way to minimize the crashing? It crashes or at least lags severely (screen freezes for 20-30 seconds) if I try to explode using the TNT X 500; multiple TNT will almost always crash it. I have a very powerful rig: Core i7, GTX 770, 16 GB RAM, SSD drives, etc. So, I was wondering if there's a setting that can prevent the freezing or crashing.
I just had to reconstruct my .minecraft folder following the update to Launcher 1.4.2, and the only mod not working now is this one. It may not be essential to my project, but it would be nice to get it back.

I like making mod textures, skins, resource packs, etc. Shoot me a skype message if you're in need of any of those things!
So my Meteor TNT is 60.0 F, which would normally not do so much damage, but since I make every block the resistance of dirt, it adds up.
This answers my question perfectly. Is there a way to exclude obsidian from this re-consideration? Also... Is Bedrock considered in this "everything is dirt" process?
Just out of interest.
EDIT: For example, changing something in the config file? Also, thank you for answering my question so perfectly.
Ok, so I downloaded the forge needed for the tnt mod and I downloaded the mod itself, but the mod isn't working and every time I put the mod in the mod folder it says tht I have a copy of that folder in there. HALP PLEASE!

When in a zip file this mod does nothing, when extracted (as per instructions) , this mod crashes the hell out of Forge:

Above version shows mod on it's own, as this forge allows the other 1.6.4 mods to work just fine and I didn't know if they were interfering with it. Removing the MAC version files produces more of the same. I don't know what you want from me.
Hmm. It doesnt seem like it is a conflict with another mod so try to update forge since you are not using the latest build and see if you are still going to crash.
Nope, this is what happens for the last forge ever made for 1.6.4:

Is there a solution to this? I would really like to use this mod!
Code: (in explosion)
if (k1 == 7)
{
Block block = Block.blocksList[k1];
float f3 = this.exploder != null ? this.exploder.getBlockExplosionResistance(TNT, this.worldObj, l, i1, j1, block) : block.getExplosionResistance(this.exploder, worldObj, l, i1, j1, explosionX, explosionY, explosionZ);
f1 -= (f3 + 0.3F) * f2;
}
if (k1 > 0)
{
Block block = Block.dirt;
float f3 = this.exploder != null ? this.exploder.getBlockExplosionResistance(TNT, this.worldObj, l, i1, j1, block) : block.getExplosionResistance(this.exploder, worldObj, l, i1, j1, explosionX, explosionY, explosionZ);
f1 -= (f3 + 0.3F) * f2;
}
7 is bedrock, so what i'm saying in the code is, bedrock follows the block code, but every other block follows dirt code.[/font]
I'm afraid I don't understand what you're saying.
Sorry to make you explain it further... Which number is explosive force? Normal TNT is 4, if I recall.

I like making mod textures, skins, resource packs, etc. Shoot me a skype message if you're in need of any of those things!
My skype: eveewazhere2
This answers my question perfectly. Is there a way to exclude obsidian from this re-consideration? Also... Is Bedrock considered in this "everything is dirt" process?
Just out of interest.
EDIT: For example, changing something in the config file? Also, thank you for answering my question so perfectly.

Did you unzip the file and drag the Too Much TNT file from there to your mods folder? I made the same mistake once and it wouldn't work for me either.
If Minecraft were real, you'd be a zombie right now.

Above version shows mod on it's own, as this forge allows the other 1.6.4 mods to work just fine and I didn't know if they were interfering with it. Removing the MAC version files produces more of the same. I don't know what you want from me.
Nope, this is what happens for the last forge ever made for 1.6.4:
