I keep getting this crash every time I try to start the game with this mod installed. It's probably something simple causing it but can somebody please tell me why it's crashing and how to fix it?

You have the wrong version of forge with the wrong version of EBXL.
Per the OP:
IMPORTANT: If you wish to use the latest version of Forge with ExtrabiomesXL, you'll have to use the latest development build, which can be found under the Latest Development Builds download link.
First off, I love the variety this mod has in terrain generation!!
A couple observations though-
I have created 4 worlds, and traveled in about a 1000 radius circle around my spawnpoint looking for a cool world to build in.
I haven't seen a single swamp biome. Are these supposed to be extremely rare? Never found a marsh either.
Way too many ice/snow related biomes- takes away a lot from the variety.
The vanilla desert/jungle temples- I have only ever found one desert temple- in a jungle biome- in a game I played and explored extensively (not one of the 4 mentioned above). I haven't found swamps yet so haven't seen a witch hut either.
Is there any way to tweak the biome chances other than just disabling some?
What is this about cracked sand "growth" and there is no general section in the config file for it.

Currently there is no way to tweak the terrain generation to increase the chances of certain biomes but that will come.
Per the OP...here is a link to the red rock recipes: http://minecraftmodc..._Red_Rock_Addon
I haven't tried it in 3.5.5 as our server is still using 3.5.2, but it worked there. You do have to smelt the red rock cobblestone into red rock before you can craft the bricks.
That actually reminds me. I've never used either the redrock or fence addons because, honestly, the effort/reward tradeoff required discourages me. As I understand it, you have to add that mod, and then the addons in question go into a special folder for CustomStuff to read, but you also need to change settings for the addons themselves to match what the actual wood and redrock values are. However - and please do correct me if I am wrong - as I understand it, these will not work with any recipes that would use the standard versions of items (for example redrock furnaces cannot be made into Metallurgy 2 devices) and have some texture errors due to CustomStuff limitations. I don't mean to disrespect gwydion0917 in any way, and in fact the work making these addons deserves some praise, but I think that a more streamlined version might be needed, eventually.
Of course, this is just personal opinion, and I'm sure some of my guesses might be wrong. However, if I'm uncertain after looking at is, I find it reasonable to assume that some people are completely clueless on how to use these addons. Something either integrated, or just requiring to be dropped in, would probably save a lot of headaches.

Anon, Gwydion has always meant for these to be a stop gap for anyone wanting these but not wanting to wait for me to get to it.
I'll take your word for it on the swamp thing, but I just did 3 more worlds out to 1000 radius and still no swamps
It's just luck as to what biomes you get. The world I'm in on the server has both green swamp and regular swamp and so did the the SSP world I created. I'm pretty sure that I saw something on Github that Scott added witch's huts to green swamps. I've also found several temples before. I haven't found any in the 1.45 world yet...but we just started it a couple days ago and I haven't really explored much.
I love your mod and have been using it server-wise for a while now and I have an idea for a biome,
perhaps you could create a floating islands biome or some sort of sky biome. It could even take after your other biomes, for example maple forest or shrubland. If this is possible please make it present in the mod.
This is what I get when I try to run server anyone know the problem?

While what Eryan says is true that normally we need the complete log....after looking at what you posted the reason for the error is that you are using the wrong version of forge vs the version of Extrabiomes.

2nd, the ice/snow biomes being generated has nothing to do with extrabiomesXL it's the vanilla coded world gen doing that.
3rd, swamps do generate
4th, I'd suggest disabling marsh biomes, they are very buggy.
Currently there is no way to tweak the terrain generation to increase the chances of certain biomes but that will come.
Cracked sand growth is currently disabled.

Do they only spawn in standard "vanilla" biomes or in the similar biomes from this mod?
While they are 'rare' in an unmodded game, they are seemingly non-existant in any of the worlds I've generated to test.
Anon, Gwydion has always meant for these to be a stop gap for anyone wanting these but not wanting to wait for me to get to it.

Currently we cannot spawn the temples in our biomes without jar code changes.
Just trying to prod you into doing it. *puts away pokey-stick*

There is a version 3.6.0 listed in the change log,
Where is the download for it?
