I would like it if it actually worked.
Keep up the work (I would say good but I only say good to people who have mods that actually work.)
and no, its not crashing, I did put it in the mods folder, there is an bwg4 option, it just doesn't do anything.
I would ask for help but I never really like the idea of switching to the old terrain generator anyway so if you respond to this post remember that I wont be coming back here.
- Updated to minecraft 1.6.1
- Fixed exploding beds in Survival Island and Skyland worlds
- Fixed wierd biome colors in Infdev and indev worlds
- Fixed clay not generating in beta worlds
- Fixed mineshafts not generating in beta, alpha and infdev
Need a little aid on this one. I am using this mod for the sky dimension generation in conjunction with Thaumcraft 3, but it seems that the availability of clay is rather lax. Does it generate in sky dimension? and if so then I'm assuming the easiest place to get it would be swamps, however, I can't seem to locate a swamp very easily either. Sorry if this has been asked before.
On another note entirely, I'm wondering if you would be able to implement some manner of resource scaling modification to the setting when generating a new world. Settings that would allow you to set the density of how many ores are generated in one spot as well as maybe add a way to make ores more spread out. I've been playing Minecraft a long time and personally I find that most ores are just too easy to find and there is no consequence for simply digging out a massive quarry just to get what you need. I feel that if ore generator was less "generous" it'd add hidden difficulty to the game that makes exploring a little more required and less optional which it should be in a game like this anyway.
- Added horse spawning in all worldtypes
- Fixed biomes not working after changing biome ids
- More clay in better default worlds
- Added underground clay spawning to sky dimension

Something weird about the Swampland biome. The water looks swampy, but the grass, leaves, and vines are all bright green. http://imgur.com/FN2Jdbj
Is that intended behavior? I'd prefer it if the swamps looked more like vanilla swamps.

Holy crap... I've heard of asking and getting results, but you've taken that to a whole new level. Seriously awesome work and I don't think I'll ever remove this mod from my list of favorites with that kind of dedication
I followed the forge thread. and this one, I have no idea how to get this into the server. I think the instructions need a little better explaining. I usually have no issue installing mods. I managed to get Forge working and it sais Biomes are but the world gen is very plain and thats only on single player. since I cant figure out how to put this in a server yet. They changed it all.

Actually, now I'm noticing that snow biomes use the same grass color as forest or plains biomes. It doesn't match the color of spruce leaves.
Maybe someone else can help me. If I want to change the color of the grass or leaves in a biome with this mod, how could I go about doing that? Is it simple for someone who's never worked with mods before?

Ted,
Perhaps this would be a good time to mention again, particularly on the large biomes generation setting, the sand banks are HUGE! Also there are chunk border artifacts. Could you possibly fix that? It really is a problem on flatter biomes.
Hello, I'm a fan of MC from China. Recently I've discovered your Better World Generation 4! and it's wonderful! I want to share it with others, but without your permission it would be quite a problem, so I'm here to ask if you would be so kind to allow me to share your mod, thanks!
Can you add reefs and more generation to the oceans to make them more interesting. Can you add new villages and make them spawn throughout the world . Love the mod . Dose the mod have mo creature support because I have mo creatures and the mo creatures do not spawn
This is just amazing. No other words. The only reason I hope that this never becomes Vanilla is because I'm quite sure that Mojang would simply adopt ted's generation algorithms and simply stop updating and expanding on the terrain for another 2 years. This would be bad because BWG has improved measurably with every single version and revision and it does not look like this trend is going to change any time soon.
Now everyone just imagine how much better Ted could make his terrain if Mojang implemented Cubic Chunks...
I'm using 1.5.1 Forge version 7.7.2.678. Why this version? It matches the MCPC+ server I intend to use. I get this error on all the "old downloads" 1.5.1 versions, 1.0.6, 1.0.3, 1.0.1, and 1.0.1b.
Oddly enough, the latest version for 1.5.2 seems to load up just fine client side. The only issue is that when I set the world type to bwg4, if I click the customize button it crashes out giving me a no such field error related to the GUI.
Can anyone tell me what versions of forge they are running if they are running on 1.5.1 still? The reason I'm trying to get it to work on 1.5.1 is i wish to use universal electricity mods and well...they haven't worked out the bugs in their 1.5.2 build.
LOVE the mod - BUT - can you please please please read the EBXL and BOP config files for world generation?
Going through each of the biomes is a pain - specially since it doesn't remember them. If it could read the config file, to see what biomes you have turned off, it would be the perfect mod.
Ok so I am trying to install BoP along with BWG4 on a server using Multicraft.
I go into my server config files and enter
level type: bwg4
Generator settings: BetterDefault#1&Shrubland=true;Savanna=true;Desert=true;Swampland=true;Jungle=true;RainForest=true;Grassland=true;Taiga=true;Pines=true;Forest Lakes=true;Forest Hills=true;Forest=true;Plains=true;Snow Hills=true;Snow Plains=true;Snow Taiga=true;Snow ....... etc etc (This is cut and paste like the front page of the bwg4 forum says to do.)
level seed: 1028480637321921599
After saving the server properties it changes the generator settings to: "betterdefault/" and generates no BoP biomes whatsoever.
Keep up the work (I would say good but I only say good to people who have mods that actually work.)

I believe in the Invisible Pink Unicorn, bless her Invisible Pinkness.
Any help? Still having this issue.

Sometimes i have to close Minecraft and open it up again
I go into my server config files and enter
level type: bwg4
Generator settings: BetterDefault#1&Shrubland=true;Savanna=true;Desert=true;Swampland=true;Jungle=true;RainForest=true;Grassland=true;Taiga=true;Pines=true;Forest Lakes=true;Forest Hills=true;Forest=true;Plains=true;Snow Hills=true;Snow Plains=true;Snow Taiga=true;Snow ....... etc etc (This is cut and paste like the front page of the bwg4 forum says to do.)

What am I doing wrong?
