Emerald Ore doesn't generate in Skylands, does it? I know it'd be useless if it did, but Emerald blocks are pretty. Perhaps Emerald Ore could follow the same rules as it does now, except instead of Extreme Hills-biome being the only biome it spawns in(Which doesn't occur in Skylands), the biome could be Desert? I've observed Desert Skylands to be quite rare compared to other types of skylands, so it could be balanced.
To allow for Strongholds in Skylands, could it be possible to make the Stronghold generation only generate a single room containing the End Portal? It could just be a very minimal room, about 2~3x the size of a dungeon, containing some Silverfish blocks and Silverfish spawners.
if i may suggest a world type, may i suggest a world called "grand hub"
grand hub: villages are much more common, and usually have a gravel walkway between villages. this would probably have to come with new/more villager types, but it would be pretty cool. thank you for spending your time to read this

Are youbored of minecraft? It's not the new features. I'll give you a hint:It's the terrain generation. Go play a map generated in 1.7.3 or earlier, then tell me you don't agree.
I wanted a Sky world....But it crashed every time.... Reinstalled with only forge.... Kaboom still...

forestry works fine (ores and bees spawn)

- No. Mod related stuff will only be generated in Default and Large-Biomes Worldtype.
Not sure about others, but I know Metallurgy 2 ores are compatible and I would assume other forge mods to be as well? Even in survival skyland and such.
I love this mod, and can't wait to try the Gold generator. However, I've noticed that since installing it I can't seem to find any snowy biomes at all (in either Default or Large mode). It looks like a few other people have reported difficulty finding tundras & taigas too. Does anyone have a seed that will generate a snowy biome in this mod, or are they not working at the moment?
Not sure if it's been posted, but this doesn't seem to work with the BioSphere mod.

I think I found a bug in BWG3 V1.0.9 I can't seem to find any villages, temples, or emeralds. I mine for hours and can't find any emeralds. I look everywhere for temples and villages but they don't seem to gen.........
