How to craft the sheet music? An image in the OP is broken.
Like is it a formless recipe?
They are all shapeless except the blank disc recipe. I dunno why that image broke >.> I'll reupload it onto the same site I have the downloads on -- it seems to be the only reliable one I can use.
EDIT: It only shows "Posted Image" when I do that. Oh well, I just reuploaded them all on tinypic again. >.>
how can i edit all the songs you added because i have alot i want to add of y own not just 1?
oh its ok i found ou .minecraft/resources/mod/streaming, thanks for the mod its amazing but is there a way i can also change the names so i can call them different things?
To change the names you would have to decompile it with Minecraft Coder Pack and edit the source code, because the names are inside the mod_kbidiscs file where the discs are defined. I'm perfectly fine with that, but I suspect you are new to modding, if you're a modder at all.
Currently there's a link for both 1.1 and 1.2.3 for each expansion (and the main download, of course). There is currently no difference in them except the Minecraft version they are for.
HOWEVER! The last I have checked, Forge is still a bit nutso over textures and the Creative menu, so it's not much fun playing anything for MC 1.2.3 needing Forge at the moment. Such as this mod.
Edit: Forge seems to be stable enough when using More Music Discs. Other mods may have issues (so make sure to read the last pages of their threads!) but I have not found any yet with mine and the latest version of Forge (1.3.4.39).

Portable Disc Player expansion part 1 will almost definitely be coming today. This will be really basic -- I will be working on the full inventoried-version soon. I'm also planning on making a Better than Wolves compatibility patch (no editing of minecraft.jar; it will just overwrite one of my mod classes) that may also change the recipe for blank discs to use obsidian pressure plates.
If you want more discs, the source "API" and a simple template with instructions are provided for making official expansions with Minecraft Coder Pack. You don't even really need to know Java; you just need to download the JDK from the Java website, set up the Java PATH (lots of simple tutorials for this), download Minecraft Coder Pack, download Minecraft Forge source code, decompile a minecraft.jar with ModLoader and ModLoaderMP installed, run the Forge install script, put the More Music Discs source code in the source folder, replace some of the values in the expansion template with the values you want (for recipes, Item.java and Block.java contain all the item and block names), run the recompiler, run the reobfuscator, and then you have the finished expansion. This may be a bit complicated for non-modders.
If you don't feel like running through all these simple steps (and I can understand if you don't, there's a lot of them!) then you can simply rename your songs to the name of the ones in .minecraft/resources/mod/streaming and replace the ones there with yours.
I may add one or two more custom discs, but I don't feel like it's a priority.

A compatibility patch has been added for Better than Wolves. Simply copy into your .minecraft folder after installing the main mod. You will be unable to find any discs other than Cat and 13 in dungeons with this patch, but it still uses the unlimited textures provided by Forge. The Portable Disc Player is the ONLY expansion that can be used with Better than Wolves.
Possible next update: Use the forge Ore index to provide alternate recipes for the blank disc with Steel (MineFactory Reloaded), Refined Iron (IndustrialCraft), and Silver (RedPower) that give 6 discs instead of 4. As none of these mods have updated yet, I don't think there's much point in this yet.
Bump, because this mod is amazing, and actually works how you'd expect it to.
Props on the idea for making the discs from a blank disc.
Also, first world I spawned with this mod, I got 2 dungeons linked, and another dungeon close by, there was a disc in all 3!
Makes getting a jukebox worth it!

I haven't lost an arm brother, it's right over there..
Custom song doesn't work for me. I put it in the streaming in mod and named it CustomSong.ogg, but it doesn't work. I know the file works, because I can open it and listen. Any help would be appreciated.
I really want to use it, because I want to prank my friends. CustomSong.ogg is actually "Never Gonna Give You Up" Lol

Is it ACTUALLY an OGG file, or is it an MP3 or WAV and you just renamed it?
If it isn't, convert it with the free program Audacity.
On a related note, I'm considering making the config file have lines for the name and author of the custom disc, and also whether to include it or not.

You'd have to edit the source code. Again, I might change the config to make this easier soon.

I don't know how to enable videos on the minecraft forums now, ever since the update. Here is the link though.
