If you're looking to disable every biome in minecraft, then my mod can't do it.
My mod is limited to disabling all but tundra and ocean biomes.
You are misunderstanding him. He is trying to disable the biomes generated by your mod not the vanilla biomes.
I had the same problem, I attempted to disable the crystal forest by setting it to false, and also a few individual tree types, the bukkit tree being one. It didn't matter what I did to the config file they still generated in new worlds.

ok.
I'm not entirely sure how I could go about fixing this since I haven't experienced it...
Did you install my mod on a fresh .minecraft file? That has solved issues before.
Played in this mod for a while today and it was great, I had a lot of fun gathering fruit. Any plans to edit the existing biomes more? The redwood biome was fun because it felt like a massive biome but the others are still dinky and too close together. It also seems like you made beaches spawn as real beaches- with coconut trees etc. I really like that touch. The game is vastly improved with this mod, and I really hope the Mojang guys add even half these plants in the future.
I used the 64x64 texture pack with Sphax PureBDCraft's 64x64 pack, and they went well together. Unfortunately the mod "Mo' Creatures" didn't seem to be compatible with Trees++ but I'd take the trees over more animals any day. Still, it'd be cool if we could have both, deer eating berries etc. I guess that'd require a lot of collaboration between the makers of the different mods.. but one can dream.
Are you thinking of adding more plants? Seems like there are enough bushes and trees, but maybe other plants could be added. Like medicinal herbs, root vegetables, underwater plants... etc. It just seems to cover so much I'm having trouble coming up with notes for you. I want to give feedback, but what's there is so great it's just turning into suggestions. :/ sorry..
Only thing I can think of is that it was a bit too easy to find food in some places, so maybe increase the rate at which the player gets hungry or spread out the food a bit. As it is now, one could easily sit under a tree and gorge himself on the fruit as it respawns.
There, constructive criticism. I feel better now. I'm helping. Thanks for the A+ mod, you've got a customer for life here.

Actually, I'm planning on adding nearly as many crops to Trees++ as there are trees.
I'll get started on this after some more fixes/adjustments.
Also, I'll go ahead and decrease fruit growth rate again.
I enjoy criticism when it's constructive. Thank you

Instead of the growth rate...what about decreasing that amount of blocks on the tree that produce the fruit and make them more like the berries? It seems as though the fruit trees have few or no leaf blocks...so once they start producing fruit it can be alot. If you made them more like berry bushes where they have leaf blocks mixed in there wouldn't be as much fruit.
It also depends on what biome you are in...because if you aren't in a forest biome where there are a lot of fruit trees this isn't even an issue as hardly any of the other biomes have fruit/nut producing trees or berries. Maybe mix it up a bit and put some of the nut and fruit bearing trees in some of the other biomes. Nut trees, apple and peach are not really forest type trees....so maybe they could be in the plains or extreme hill as well as most of the berries. Some berries even grow well in the cold (Maine and Michigan are known for blueberries and cranberries). Perhaps cranberry bogs in the swamps or shallow pools of water?
Also, when I asked before you said that you would make fruit fall from the trees when you cut them down instead of just disappearing (this is an issue especially with trees like the walnut, gingko and figs). The trees are so tall that by the time you climb all over it after you cut it down...most of the fruit has disappeared when the leaf decayed. Are you still planning on making that change?
That's great that you are adding in some new plants/crops. Will you let us know what you are going to add and maybe take some suggestions/requests? Absolutely love this mod. It adds so much to the game and makes for some really beautiful areas. It has become one of my must haves.
I also dislike the fact that this mod is incompatible with mo' creatures. It would be pretty awesome if you guys could come together and join the two, similar to what buildcraft and ic2 have done. Or, just have a seperate modder join the two.
But, like the guy above me, I believe trees > animals. So I'll use your mod anyways.
Nevermind, not compatible with optifine. Can't use. Sorry. Great mod, wish I could use it.

My mod is compatible with both, and with dozens others.
I've seen plenty mod videos covering my mod with many others installed, including the ones you mentioned.

I'd rather not add another block to the game when I can simply change a number, though I might consider it for the fig tree as it can become odd looking after producing a bounty of figs.
If I did to the fruit trees exactly what I did to the berry bushes, there would actually be more fruit being produced as each leaf block will have a chance of carrying a food item. As it is right now, only leaf blocks that have free space directly below them will produce fruit (strictly speaking of the fruit that hangs from leaf blocks).
The crops I will be adding will come from a practical list of RL crops. From these, I will pick and choose the ones that make more sense as a functional addition to the game.
And yes, I will take suggestions as they might be some I haven't thought of.
I do like the idea of spreading out the fruit trees and bushes more. In the redwood forest there was no fruit, but in another area there was too much.
So maybe making the plants themselves less common compared to other trees.. that might help. Maybe you could make fruit spawn in the morning so you can't just feast. You can have your one apple tree with enough food to last a day. Figure out how much 'hunger' you get in one day with little exertion, then make a tree spawn less than that per day so that a person has to forage to live.
Or, maybe, have difficulty just affect fruit spawn rate. The important thing is making staying fed a challenge, so that the fruit has a purpose.

Can you list some mods that you know work with your mod (or link the videos)? I don't use any others at the moment, but I know there are a few that add biomes... it seems like that wouldn't work well with yours because they wouldn't have the new trees. would like to set up a beast server and, your mod is top of my list to use.
And, unless there's some fix, I couldn't get mo creatures to work with your mod. D:

On our server, which is currently 1.2.3 we have Pam's Harvestcraft and Earthcraft, RP2, IC2, BC, EE2, Railcraft, Mace and of course Trees++. They all work perfectly fine together. If you are going to add Trees++, I'm not sure why you would want to add another mod that would add even more biomes since you would have the ones from vanilla and the ones from the Trees++ mod.

I guess what I'd want is for the biomes from "extra biomes XL/rpg" to work with these trees/biomes. I don't think it'd work because the new trees wouldn't know to spawn in their new biomes.. just like the creatures from mo creatures wouldn't know where to spawn if I used it with extra biomes or Trees++. Ideally all three mods would work together and make the perfect world.
But you're right, and if I were to pick between the two I'd still take Trees++.
