I have a question about tree capitator, I read that you can add tools in the config so it knows what an "axe" is, but will this work with tinkers construct out of the box or would I need to enter every axe/lumber axe item ID?
So I play on 1.7.2, because I like it. But I recently lost all of my MC files and had to start over. Everything was working fine but suddenly Treecapitator doesn't want to play nice. I've tried a wooden axe and a stone one (not at iron yet, need to go mining) and both default to an empty hand or anything but a tool (sword, pickaxe etc). I have no idea what I've done/not done. Any advice for a Minecraft moron?
EDIT: Never mind. I reinstalled it and now it works. Why I didn't think of that first I'll never know....
I want the 1.8.9 bspkrsCore, DirectionHUD, ArmorStatusHUD and DirectionHUD that BlueAnanas was using but I just can't find it! I hope someone can link that mods to me because I'll love to use them. :/
Having trouble finding the config files for TreeCapitator. I have the version that can be changed through the 'mods' section in-game, but I need the config to stick on the server. Is it in a new location, or should I switch to an earlier version?

Redwood blocks with meta 1 and 2 (the "core" and the roots) are blacklisted OK, but the base "bark" block (no meta at all) isn't excluded - neither of those first three entries match it.
Really frustrating, this problem alone makes the mod unusable. I don't want players skinning redwood trees, nobody even wants to. But there's no way to avoid it with this mod being broken.
I also noticed that the "allowMoreBlocksThanDamage" does nothing - true or false is the same either way.
Anyone that has a hold on the older versions of Treecapitator? I am specifically looking for Beta 1.7.3. The old download link in the old thread does not work anymore.

Hi all. I'm working on porting Treecapitator forward to 1.9.4 and then ultimately to more modern versions. I tried to DM bspkrs on twitter but he needs to be following me. I also DMd him in curseforge but he hasn't been active for a year. Essentially I asked if he'd want my code or if I could post my results.
Does anyone have any insight or advice, even about how to contact someone about permissions?* Anything I should know? Please note that I do not have a github and have no idea how to navigate/use it beyond a straight-up package download. I'm a code amateur.
*Edit: I checked the mod's github. I can post an adaptation of the mod, so I think I'll just do that.

I was in the same boat, so I took a swing at it.
It runs and works in single player 1.10.2. Untested on server.

Has *anybody* managed to get blocks without specific metadata to work in Treecapitator block exclusions?

In my case Tree Capitator cant cut all trees after installing The Big Trees.

sure.. as it turns out that TreeChopper-1.11-1.1.1a.jar, he has works for me on mc v1.11.2
That's the version I'm using...
