I am a 1.8 Minecraft enthusiast. If i give any ideas to you for your mod that you like or even if I just came to say I like this mod, that basically means I would like this mod for 1.8.
I have ASD. I will most likely speak in a way that could offend people, that's the way I've always been (socially awkward), however, I do not mean to be offensive to anyone. Tactfulness has never been one of my strong suits. So, if your going to hate me...then don't bother talking to me as you will just waste my time and yours as well.
Despite what you're thinking the age in my profile is the actual true age. I find it amazing how many people think that ten is my actual age.
Who's updating it these days (who's maintaining the Github)?
I'm wondering if there's any way of getting the fix for the upgrade bug and the single server-side line of code for 1.7.10.
Thanks!

How to deal with ignorance (in life, and on forums): The Zen way... Stay cool and polite, treat people as you wish to be treated, rise above your impatience. Everyone is ignorant of something at any point in their lives, including you.
Had an idea for Tinker's support for this mod. I think it'd be great to be able to place a chest inside a tinkers casting basin and pour metal around it to upgrade it.
Thermal Expansion's Crescent Hammer and Invar Battlewrench can rotate certain placed blocks via a right-click. (One or another of the Industrialcraft wrenches could also do it.) This works on vanilla chests, for example, and it USED to work on Iron Chests in 1.4.x and 1.6.4. It does not work any more in 1.7.10.
I don't know whether it's a Thermal Expansion bug or an Iron Chests bug. I'm reporting it in both threads.
(Assuming I can find a currently active Thermal Expansion or CoFH thread.)
SOLVED
What the problem REALLY turned out to be was this: I had cause to move my base to a new location (never mind why, not important here). I used Ruins Mod's ruin parser and WorldEdit to do it. It turns out Ruins Mod buggered up something in the chests' metadata or NBT data somehow; I'm guessing that it failed to copy the chests' rotation data. The chests worked perfectly after moving them, EXCEPT that with no rotation data, the crescent hammer couldn't rotate them because it didn't know which direction they were facing. After breaking and re-placing, they worked perfectly and became rotatable again.
Yeah, this mod just crashes my game. I'd like to have it for the crystal chests, but it won't work. I have forge, itemphysic, optifine, and damage indicators. Is it because of one of the mod I have installed?
If you installed the version from this thread you installed it for minecraft 1.5, unless for some reason you are playing that version it won't work. Download for your correct minecraft version from here files.minecraftforge.net/IronChests2/
That is not where you download mods from, 9minecraft is a site that steals mods and most the time they do not work from there, download it from the official site that I linked above.

Oh, I didn't know that. Sorry. It worked though.
It looks like this isn't being updated anymore?

This mod was made universal so it works on any version
I'm talking about bugfixes.
