Okay, this is absolutely amazing, and I really really want to use it, but one thing that is just getting on my nerves, is the fact that light blocks (glowstone, torches, and glowstone lamps) Do not create proper lighting. As a result, the inside of houses looks really dark, and sometimes there will be torches outside that are in the shade, and it looks like it is not creating any light at all.... :/
I'm sure you're looking into this problem, or at least know about it. Is there ANY chance that you will be fixing that in the future? Or is it just impossible?
Either way, great job on this mod, everything looks absolutely amazing!
Other light sources than sun being non-existent & very dark is an issue in my opinion too. Hopefully this gets changed.
Torches work under certain conditions. If it's day outside torches have little to no affect as the light from the sun drowns out the light from the torches. When it's night, or when you're in a cave light still emits from sources as there is no competition.
The system actually works when looked at realistically as many times during daylight most light sources (like car lights, or phones) aren't noticeable. The problem occurs with shadows, or light sources in houses. This is a minor annoyance as having light coming from a torch under an overhang would limit the effect that the shadows have.
This mod makes things look great based off of the pictures posted but sadly my graphics card is not good enough for this mod so I get instant crash upon loading a world
We need all the information you can give us. Hardware? Versions of Minecraft, Optifine, Shaders Mod, Shaders? Method of installation? Other mods? Texture Packs?
No texture packs, its the first shader mod... i used the auto installer and it said it was good, I have OptiFine for 1.2.3 (which is my version of minecraft) and my hardware is:
CPU- Pavilion g6/g6-1b78nr
Ram- is 4.00
I don't know what my graphics card is, but I did a test for something and it said it held 164 something...
System Type: Genuine Windows 7 Home Premium (64 Bit)
Is it possible to turn off motion blur? Its KILLING my FPS to almost 3.

Sir_Momo found a way to improve torch light. Use Notepad++ to edit the composite.fsh file.
