I'm pretty sure I installed correctly, but when I launch MC all my buttons are white, and if I click one, eg:multiplayer all the words dispear and are just a white bar.
Just a quick question, I remember a long while back around the 1.2.5 MC days or maybe even earlier that the shaders made it so light sources like glowstone actually glowed underwater. Like when you were above the water's surface looking down, you could see the glowstone and it was actually making light. It was a very nice effect.
Today, the moment you go above water, the light vanishes as though the glowstone isn't 'glowing' at all. It's like it just deactivates.
Is this because of the light engine rework Mojang did some time back? Or maybe it was a feature that was cut and never re-implenented in the newer SEUS versions?
I have a problem looking the sun / moon even if are behind the terrain!!
now , same spot :
the framerate drop is HUGE and compromise the gameplay, because the drop happen even if the sun / moon are behind the ground
PS: this happens with any texture pack, DEFAULT included!!
Lack of knowledge / components is not a SEUS problem. Is there a reason you're using 32bit java?
is there like a way to have Ultra DOF and Ultra Motion blur at the same time???
and rain? because it only shows the particles not the actual rain itself
There are strange sunny spots behind mountains, but they only appear from certain angles, as if the game thinks that it can get rid of shadows because your looking somewhere else. The same thing happens regardless of what shader pack I use. This has been an issue with the shaders mod (not the packs) since shaders were updated for 1.8. See below for screenshots. The first one is the glitch with F3 enabled for extra info, and the second is what the scene should look like. (I just moved around until the glitch disappeared, because as I said, it only works from certain seemingly random angles.)
Try to fix it soon. =D (Like sooner than it took for Minecraft to get to the latest series of snapshots xD)
I have some strange issues with shaders. The shaderpack i am using is sildurs shaderpack, and i am using it with optifine S6 ultra on my MacBook Air, as it was supported by mac. And i get this:
Anyone know how to remove the effect that makes stars bright and blue at night? My current stars texture should have lots of red and yellow in it, but instead the stars are all white blue.
Also My Rain and snow textures become totally transparent.
As for the grayish sky, If I remember correctly, this is due to "eye rods" effect which desaturates the scenery during the night. I think you'll have to disable this entirely, at the cost of no more desaturated image at night (which looks weird, or maybe I just like it very much). Search through shader files for "eye-rods".
Actually I did find out how to lower the desaturation and cyan tint at night. It was a 0.8 value near the desaturation and eye rod lines, and now my nights are much more colorful.
However, the starfield remains bright and bluish. I'll have a go and see if there's another line where these effects are added on the sky itself.
Otherwise, this shader is awesome.
Water textures are no longer hidden by the shader, so waterfalls don't look like jello!

This is a 1.8 problem. 1.8 has a built-in feature that prevents chunks behind the player from rendering and this creates issues with shaders.
It's entirely possible to make a mod to disable this feature even though nobody has. The chunks are still there and loaded, but the client just skips rendering them when it assumes the player can't see them.

See...I kept telling everyone that wolves are evil despicable creatures, but would anyone listen? No, of course not, and now you're all ******, so "haha...told you so".
I have another question. I use the Galacticraft mod, is there any way to get the shaders to work on the moon? All I get, even during the moon's day cycle is total blackness.

*Starts rocking backwards and forwards*
We have gone t-to far. Man was not meant for this...
I use a pile of other mods so I was surprised when this worked without a hitch. Purely amazing. My laptop hates me now though and I think I may have to move minecraft over to my desktop computer for the sack of a lagless experience. Does this support bump-mapped texture packs?
EDIT 22/3/2012: Above texture pack is my WIP one. Hasn't been released and I'm a little too busy with Uni at the moment to finish off all that I wanted for a first release. Please don't message me about it. Thanks.
Edit 16/9/2012 - It's released and called 'A Brush More Colour'. I dont want to post a link from someone else's thread so just search it.
I noticed that you were playing on a mac, and I'm wondering how you got it on a mac, no matter how many times I try it doesn't work. Please help me!

wow um you might want to check the date this was posted (2012), this is most likely the very first release version of seus and was less intensive compared to the latest versions. Unfortunately seus won't work on Mac iOS anymore, you might want to check out some of the other shader packs and see if they work for you. Also lastly most Mac's are not ment for gaming (serious gaming) so maybe if you can look into getting a gaming PC (windows) if you are wanting to play games.
I had no idea what this computer uses. I just gave it a try.
(I'm actually not suprised it doesn't work)
Thanks Doe.

You don't use 32bit java on 64bit OS for Minecraft.

If you are using v10.1, Euphoria4949 has provided an edit to fix rain and snow.

Read that document further. It does tell a raining thru blocks fix, line #50.

I'm getting this when running 10.1 Ultra, and had a similar, although not as noticeable issue when running 10.0 Ultra No Blur

Any ideas what's causing this, and how to fix it?
^ You must be using an older version of MC.
It can be fixed by editing with Notepad++. Copy and paste for accuracy. SEUS has a EULA preventing redistribution of an edited version.
