Newbie question, but what is the difference from Seus Ultra DOF to Seus Ultra?
EDIT1: I figured DOF... not a native english speaker lol
Also, I'm not sure if this was already asked (too many pages), but I sometimes get a full black screen when playing Minecraft when I go to really dark places... Then if I light the place up, the game goes back to normal.
Any thoughts on that?
EDIT2: Is there any way to make the blocks with more pixels, like 128x128 instead of 16x16 with Seus and optfine?

I think Ultra DOF is a slightly toned down version from Ultra, which means its less GPU intensive. In terms of being pitch black when entering dark areas I think that was intentional from the enhanced lighting feature.

Not sure about the pixels on blocks
No, they shouldn't be different other than the fact that "DOF" stands for Depth of Field, which means that the camera will "focus" on whatever your crosshair is looking at. Some people like it, others hate it.
With the latest version for 1.7.10 I even tried switching to 10.0 and changing line 47 like suggested but that didn't help! In the 10.1 composite.vsh file line 47 says "if (sunAngle < 0.5f) {" while line 56 says "float timePow = 3.2f;".
I am confused and distressed! (No, I'm not using a Mac, yes, I'm using forge and optifine, yes, my computer has beefy enough RAM)

RAM doesn't matter, if you don't have a dedicated GPU (Nvidia or AMD Radeon) then you can't run shaders.

I figured out what the problem was. He said he can't provide support for Mac but didn't mention Linux so I assumed it worked. I booted into windows 7 and the thing worked fine.

What steps did you do to install Shaders Mod Core?
When ever it is installed, and I select the shader, it doesnt work. I have checked all the settings, and they are all correct. I'm on a Mac. Any help?
If you had read the mods description you would have seen that it clearly says: "The author of SEUS Shader-pack has no access to a Mac, so is unable to provide Mac support at this time."

What do you mean by steps? I downloaded the non-forge version and then installed it. I then proceeded to download the SEUS Ultra and put it it the shaderpacks folder. Is the problem that I didn't use the Forge version? I didn't use it because I didn't know which version it was. Hope this helps.
Open your Nvidia or AMD Control Panel and set the "Preferred Graphics Processor" to Nvidia or AMD, Not Auto or Intel. Do this "Globally" not just for Minecraft.exe.
If you do not have either an Nvidia or AMD Control Panel then please read the guide below for: PC USERS.
You were supposed to read the description and instructions for this mod "Before" installing them. It clearly says: "You need a modern and powerful Graphics Card to run a shader."
"Intel HD Graphics are "Not" compatible with SEUS."
If you are "Not" using Intel HD and "Do" have a proper dedicated Nvidia or AMD graphics card but you still get the black screen or crashing, then please skip the next paragraph.
Intel HD: Intel HD Graphics are not designed for modern high-end games because they are "Not" a Graphics Card. They are an "iGPU". This means it's a small part of your Processor/CPU that just "Acts" like or "Pretends" to be a Graphics Card. Intel HD is very weak and has many issues due to its buggy drivers and Intel's refusal to conform with industry standards. It's designed to give you enough graphical power to watch a movie, YouTube video or play a basic game, not for running extremely complex and demanding graphical applications like shaders. Some shaders like SEUS are as demanding on graphical power as Battlefield 4 on Ultra settings!
For people "Not" using Intel HD one of the following is the cause of the issue:
1# - Your PC's graphics card is not powerful enough or is too old. The mod description clearly says you need a "Modern and powerful graphics card!"
2# - Your graphics card driver is out of date. Update it to the latest version from your manufacturer's website.
3# - The wrong or an out dated version of the GLSL Shader Core mod is installed.
4# - You have mods installed or a setting that is causing an incompatibility.
Feel free to post on the SEUS thread if you want more info about whether your graphics card (Nvidia or AMD/ATI) is compatible.
There are some very basic and low-end Shaders available on the Minecraft forum that might work with old or low powered cards and Intel HD.
If you had read the mod description you would have seen that it says: "I'm sorry to say that I am powerless to provide Mac support."
I'm missing something... You'll want to use "Fancy" Graphics not fast.
Your Shaders Menu should look like this: http://i.imgur.com/CIR6IGQ.png

Hey, I have a couple questions. I can get SEUS to work, but when i look at water or certain types of glass (white panes?) I get some nasty artefacts, but only in the transparent material. Also, unrelated, the game couldn't get past mojang screen when I had chroma hills installed?
i still get it
i am using shadersmod 1.7.10 v2.3.19
and AMD radeon HD6630M
intel core i7
Sony Vaio
i did everything you told me
its the gbuffers_terrain

Update Shaders to 2.3.26/7. I have doubts that SEUS will run well on those graphics yet you have an i7.
Yes, but not with a high FPS. I would recommend a Geforce 760 or a Radeon 280X for mid-high framerates at a reasonable render distance.

Minecraft SEUS does not work on Mac.
Off topic but, what minimap mod is that? I'm looking for a minimap mod for ages :/

Just to know, would there be a way to turn off the ALL BLACK screen? That just kind of scares me when happens, because it comes from nowhere hahaha!
You could try to mess with the brightness. Check here to find out how.

Apparently, it didnt work, or I don't know how to change it... (i tried)
Anyway, this is a picture of HOW DARK it gets...
Thanks for your patience and for your help. That link is quite nice... I can have rain puddles now
