I am using SEUS_Standard_10.1 for Minecraft 1.7.5 with Optifine 1.7.5 HD_U_D1 and Chroma Hills 128x
I run Minecraft at around 25-30fps with a resolution of 1680x1050 in full screen with Java 64-bits -Xms1G -Xmx2G.
All my settings in-game are set to give me the best fps according to the documentations found around this thread.
Is there anyway to boost my fps higher? Would turning off the Leaves-Grass-Wheat Waving help and by how much?
Computer Specs
Intel® Core™ i7 CPU 930 @ 2.80GH
2x AMD Radeon HD 7700 Series 1GB Crossfire
4x Corsair CMX8GX3M2A1333C9 4GB DDR3 (16GB total)
P6TD Deluxe Motherboard
Windows 7 64-bits
Scott : Dude! This thing claims I have mail.
Wallace : It's amazing what we can do with computers these days.
Scott : Dude! Now I'm reading it!
Wallace : So happy for you.
Ok, i downloaded everything normally but when i select any of the seus packs i get this. file:///C:/Users/OwnerPC/AppData/Roaming/.minecraft/screenshots/2014-06-08_20.08.13.png Help please im so annoyed. ^.^ P.S Copy that link and paste it in your url. Also, i got these error messages inside the game after launching the shader seus packs: "[Shaders] Error : Invalid program gbuffers_textured_lit" "[Shaders] Error : Invalid program composite" "[Shaders] Error : Invalid program final"
Hey coleg2002, this issue has been covered literally thousands of times on this thread already, so much so that I've made a guide on how to fix it
Please see my "Bug Fixes and Improvements Guide" in my signature below, click on the guide then scroll down to line 133 and "Carefully" read the instructions for your device, i.e. Laptop, PC or Mac.
If you have any further questions, feel free to ask on the thread but also remember that your question has probably been asked before so please use the search bar to check first.

Hey BlackMamba, as FastCraft already mentioned, Minecraft sadly does not support SLI or Crossfire due to it being Java based, so only 1 of your 7770's is being used unfortunately, which would explain the low FPS.
Anyway, looking at your settings there isn't a huge amount you can do to improve your FPS, the main one would obviously be lower your resolution.
A few small tweaks that might give you an extra couple of frames:
Max FPS - Change it to Unlimited instead of 260.
Lower Chroma Hills pack to x64.
Disable Clouds. SEUS has it's own clouds so you can disable the in-game ones.
Disable AF (Anisotropic Filtering) in-game.
Disable Better Grass.
Disable Custom Sky.
Decrease ShadowResMul= to 0.750 or 0.500
Use an older version of SEUS, like 10.0 Lite or 8.0.
And to disable waving grass and leaves simply open "gbuffers_terrain.vsh" with Notepad++, locate lines 47, 48 and 49, now add // to the start of those lines. Save and restart MC.
Hope this helps, but I can't see it making a big difference maybe 2 or 3 frames at most I would think.

Is GeForce GTX 650 enough to run it all maxed out on 1360x768 with at least 30-40 fps?
Hey Goxy287, at a low resolution yes you should be ok with a 650 to run SEUS Ultra and achieve 30fps. But I would not recommend enabling puddles, volumetric clouds, Parallax Occlusion or Parallax water as this will drop your fps massively.
This shader is really cool, but is there any way to make it lag less? Or at least a way to make it less bright?
Hi Glace1221, yes there is a way to decrease the brightness, but what brightness do you mean exactly.... The overall ambient light from the sun, the actually sun surface when looking directly at it, the light source blocks (Glowstone e.t.c...)???
Also what do you mean by make it "Lag less"??? If you experience lots of lag (Low FPS), then simply your settings are too high in-game, or your PC is not powerful enough to run SEUS.
Shaders are extremely demanding and SEUS is the most detailed and complex shader making it the most demanding of them all.
There is no such thing as a "Lagless Shader", people advertise their shaders as lagless simply because it's a very basic or Lite shader only tweaking the light slightly so it only drops most peoples FPS by a few frames, but there is always someone with a low powered PC that will find even those too much to run.
If you really struggle with SEUS, I suggest using the standard version if you ain't already, and wait for the Lite version to release. Also lower your in-game settings like render distance and resolution.

Thanks for the answer. Well clouds are my favorite feature (well almost), soo... maybe you can recommend me some graphics card stronger than GTX 650 but not with too bigger price. I currently have found GTX 650 for 93 EUR (126 USD) so maybe you can recommend me something with what i can run everything on max well, even at higher res
(well ok maybe at least at 1360x768), as i plan to get bigger monitor, but not over 150 EUR?
All of a sudden SEUS is causing Minecraft to do weird things with shadows... If I'm underground the sun still casts a shadow through the dirt and rock and when I'm running under trees outside the shadows will 'flicker'. Turning Shadow frustum on fixes the issue but drops my FPS by ~10-15 which puts me into the realms of unplayable FPS...
I have a GTX780 and the latest driver .88 so I know that's not the issue...
Anyone experienced anything similar? If I could fix it without having Shadow frustumon that'd be great.
Does this work with 1.7.9 aka the latest version(s) of Minecraft?
Hi Enelivoke welcome to the forum. Just to ask if you could please in future use the search bar at the top to search a thread to see if you question has been asked already, as your question has been asked and answered many many times just recently, thank you
Anyway, it may surprise you that the most popular and frequently use version of Minecraft as a whole is still 1.6.4. The reason why is because anyone that mods Minecraft or "Any" game knows the fundamental rule of modding: "You never ever update to the latest version!"
It takes time for mods to be updated, sometimes weeks or months and sometimes they never get updated to newer versions because of big changes in the games update.
The reason 95% of mods have not been updated to the latest Minecraft is because v1.7 brought in some HUGE changes and pretty much changed everything in the games mechanics. So the software needed to create mods had to be completely started from scratch, then there were more MC updates which changed things again. So the "Key" software, MCP, is not up to date yet as 1.8 is nearly here and that might change everything again!
MCP is needed to make a mod like Forge, Forge is needed to install most mods like the GLSL Shader Core, and the GLSL Shader Core is needed to update SEUS! Everything is waiting on something else to be updated sadly.
When I change the graphics to fast instead of fancy, I get white lines on the trees. Is there a fix?
Hi TheHolyVanguard, can you please provide your PC specs, i.e Graphics Card model and Driver version. Plus please post a screenshot of the issue so we can work out exactly what kind of bug it is.
Hi _DioM_, actually it may surprise you that the most popular and frequently use version of Minecraft as a whole is still 1.6.4. I think most people on this thread are using between 1.6.4 and 1.7.4, just because we mod the game. Anyone that mods "any game" knows the fundamental rule of modding: "You never ever update to the latest version!" Well not until your mods are up to date anyway, as it takes time for mods to be updated, sometimes weeks or months and sometimes they never get updated to newer versions because of big changes in the games update.
There is no way to make a mod work for newer versions or older versions, if it's not designed for a particular version, It's not compatible.
The reason 95% of mods have not been updated to the latest Minecraft is because v1.7 brought in some HUGE changes and pretty much changed everything in the games mechanics. Alright, I figured as much. I'd still be on 1.6.4 as well for those reasons, if my favorite server hadn't already updated. Thanks for clearing that up.
My game displayed this in the screwed up world. (The screen was small and had multiple things on it):
Error: Invalid program gbuffers_textured_lit
Error: Invalid program composite
Error: Invalid program final
What does this mean?
When I load up the world it quits back to the launcher. I have a 32-bit computer so that may be the problem but still please fix this.
It may be your PC and NOT the shader so how can we fix that!
Fix What!!??Without knowing the proper details no one can fix or help with anything! Please provide at least some details to what occurs, the version of the mod, Minecraft version and your system specifications, mainly your Graphics Card and Driver version, like the forum rules say you need to do when reporting a bug/issue. Nobody can fix something, without knowing what it is.

The water is just glitched out.
Not sure why but there is a glitch for me when it comes to using any shaders and water textures.
I've tested different kinds of shaders and it's just the water glitches out for me.
Any fix for this?

As for the lag, I just switched to the standard shader, which lags significantly less on vanilla worlds, at the least, and the game still looks better because of it. I just really like the lighting effects the shader adds, which no other shader seems to do.
When I was using my wand with a lightning focus from Thaumcraft, it actually looked like lightning and was VERY beautiful in dark places, and not just lightless blue streaks coming from the wand. I felt like I was in a Harry Potter movie.
