I can't seem to get the normal maps working with chroma hills, however the John Smith legacy pack normal maps are working for me. It looks amazing. I'm at work right now but I'll post some pics when I get home.
I have noticed that the puddle formation is using some of the same coding as daylight, puddles are forming under glass roofs. Makes the church in one of my towns seem to have a leaky skylights.
Hi, I have been having problems with using the SEUS shaders pack. First I am going to show that I did everything correctly.
just an hour ago I had deleted my .minecraft and re-downloaded it, making a copy of the .minecraft as well. I downloaded the GLSL shaders mod 1.7.5, optifine 1.7.5, and 2 shaders packs- SEUS preview 2 and 10.0 DOF (I think that's what it's called). I didn't download forge because the thread for the GLSL shaders mod said that the 1.7.5 version didn't require it- which it was right, it worked without forge. I installed optifine first, then the shaders mod, which created a shaders mod profile, an optifine profile, and a profile combining the two. I'm using the combined profile. I then put the two shaders packs (zipped) into the shaderpacks folder.
EDIT: I forgot to say that I also ran minecraft for 1.7.5 to get the versions and stuff for the .minecraft before I did any installing.
Now here's the problem- when I load up a world and equip a shader pack, my minecraft crashes without giving me a crash report. Is there a fix to this? Any help is appreciated.
(Note I will also be using this in conjunction with FTB modpacks)
That will be great for gaming, I have a very similar set up. But! Go for Windows 8.1 it has so many changes, the boot speed is much faster, all the garbage from windows 8.0 is gone, and you can remove any other windows 8 garbage very easily.
@ MonthOLDpickle : I'll try myself too, I can't really help you at this point ^^
@ McKiller5252 : answer page 1033, Captain_Syme 's post
@ Leland22 : before posting check at least the posts above yours, the answer is not far...
With such specs, when it's rainy minecraft will run at around 45-50fps
53-60fps with clear weather (depends a lot of the complexity of your redstone circuits for example).
Do you manage to overclock it? If not then buy a core i7-3770 or i7-4770, not the K version, and the motherboard is way too expensive; the rest is fine.
Since I intend to play with FTB, which I'm sure is resource intensive, should I upgrade both my GPU and CPU to better models?
Honestly I don't know much about FTB, but a perfectly constant 60fps is near to impossible to reach.
Let's make it simple, shaders need a mid-range video card to work fine and a decent quadcore to run smoothly in a non resource demanding place.
If you want to play in high resolution (1080p or higher) then a powerful graphic card is required, mostly when it's rainy.
I myself have an i7-3770 with 8gb RAM + gtx670 (oc, a little better than a stock 680) playing in 1080p,
and I can tell you my fps drop from 60 to 40 in 1080p resolution due to rain. But in 720p it's a good 60fps.
Graphic cards with lots of RAM are good for 1024x texture packs.
Ok, now if you're sure you'll play in a resource intensive evironment, with many circuits and operations where the calculus are insane for a cpu, then you'll need more than a i7-4770, probably two with shaders enabled!
Depends on your budget
@ MonthOLDpickle :
I changed the variable of + final.torchlight and + final.glow.torch by :
Seems better looking for me ^^ Don't delete any lines, they all are needed!
Thanks for your help, I think I'll just run with a i7-4770K or maybe a better model. I also recently remembered running this shader pack back in 1.5 at about 40-60fps with FTB. So based on this I'm going to assume all I need to do is just upgrade my CPU, and GPU. I'll probably get the GTX 770 model.
I reported this issue on v8 sometime ago, should note that I didn't have it on v7 and before but is my water supposed to look like this?
Because it's kinda ugly.
I'm using v10 for 1.6.4.
My graphics card is an NVidia GeForce GTX 660 if that matters, I also use fast openGL on minecraft and normally I load chunks with multicore but with this mod it just causes strange flickering. I should note this is really the only shader pack to give me trouble, chocopic13's mod usually works fine for me but seeing as I can't figure out which of his older releases is for 1.6.4 I'm trying to use yours.
It looks nice in the screenshots, I'd like some help getting it to look like that on my end if you don't mind.

i got the newest magic launcher and it does not work. i hit login and then it opens the log and then shuts down. so i cannot supply the log. im using SEUS v10.0 standard for the shader pack. i put it in as an unzipped file (idk if thats important). heres a screenshot for when i first load the shader:heres a screenshot for after the text disapeers:please help! no matter what tutorial video i watch or tutorial i read, nothing works. please help!im using forge 1.7.2 and heres the shader mod: ShadersModCore-v2.3.12-mc1.7.2-f1040im not using optifine.

It gave me 3 errors:
Invalid program gbuffers_texture_lit
Invalid program shadow
Invalid program composite
I tried the composite fixes (there are many), but it didn't work for me.
I can run v8 of SEUS. Although the water and glass is full of pixels. And shadows are slightly off.
Thanks.
