I created a "debug" shader suite and copied individual files over from the other SEUS packs and (while looking screwy incomplete) Minecraft loaded and I was able to play without crashing. Once I started adding the composite files in, things went south again.
I enabled "ulimit -c unlimited" before starting Minecraft, but the core dump was 900 MB, and there's nowhere really simple to post something that big for easy reading, and I gave up after it nearly put me to sleep trying to pick through it.
So, in the mean time, I guess I can't use SEUS until somebody figures out why it's reacting so badly.
I am using 1.6.4. (because I am using as well a modpack for 1.6.4) I know this is kinda for 1.7.2 and fully for 1.6.4 so idk why it is doing this.

Still waiting for Pistons in mcpe, can't wait for it!
I really, really want to like this. I have, however, 2 major problems with it.
1 - it makes all Thaumcraft effects look hideous. Probably nothing to be done, but it's still annoying.
2 - I really cannot stand the "interior lightfog" effect. The shader makes the outdoors look spectacular, but when I go in my base, I have to just shut it off - everything just looks brown and ugly. Is there any way to disable this?
Actually, the error can happen on AMD mobility GPUs. At first, I thought it was macs as well.
There's always that windows 8.1 user with AMD graphics that get the error with the multiple screens in the corner. The only difference is that those screens are slightly dulled, but still have color in them.
P.S. Do not expect any support for macs.
SEUS is to advanced to be running off the mac OS's OpenGL capabilities. (Your OS X Maverick ain't going to help either).
I'm confused. No idea why I'm checking.... nvidia.com says your driver should be 331.49
You're also using a java in beta. You might want to try the latest stable version, 7.51
Normally, I prefer to stick with the versions in the official distro repositories (fewer problems that way, better tested with specific distro releases):
root@OptiPlex-GX620:~$ dpkg -l | grep nvidia
rc nvidia-319 331.20-0ubuntu1~xedgers~saucy1 amd64 Transitional package for nvidia-319
ii nvidia-331 331.20-0ubuntu1~xedgers~saucy1 amd64 NVIDIA binary Xorg driver, kernel module and VDPAU library
ii nvidia-persistenced 331.20-0ubuntu1~xedgers~saucy1 amd64 Load the NVIDIA kernel driver and create device files
ii nvidia-settings-331 331.20-0ubuntu1~xedgers~saucy1 amd64 Tool for configuring the NVIDIA graphics driver
root@OptiPlex-GX620:~$ apt-get install nvidia-331

Hello, when i tried to use this shader it worked but the screen was all black exept in the bottom left corner it showed but it was realy dark please help me i love shaders and the only one that could work is the shader lite one.
I have a problem, when I start using SEUS v10.0 lite, everything is yellow
when I use SEUS v10.0 standard, I have a bunch of little rectangles in the bottom left corner of the screen, same with the others. Every thing is buggy!!! Help. It works with SEUS v08 Standart

Well, that failed. On both counts.

Ok, generally you need to go with what's in the distro. The ideas I have are to find a legacy Seus to go with your (legacy) nvidia driver. (might require downgrading MC & Forge) Or, I see the Ubuntu snapshot is using the 331.38 driver. If this is your primary machine you may not want to try it. Release is April. You could ask the mod maker directly. That's the only ideas I have left right now.

On a whim, I tried OpenJDK, and that crashed too. But I don't understand why the internal shaders of the ShadersModCore work fine, and the Bump Shadow Waving shaderpack works (slow as hell, but still works), and SEUS bombs out.
I'm not keen on using a snapshot driver on my "production" box, so I guess that leaves my last choice as either not using the Shaderpacks, or picking SonicEther's brain.
Anyone know how to fix this?.
Specs?
Specs?
If you have an AMD GPU, update to 13.11 beta drivers or get 14.1 beta drivers and apply this fix.

Well, that failed. On both counts.
go to gbuffers_water.fsh
and change
tex.a = 0.95f;
to
//tex.a = 0.95f;
now partially transparent blocks will stay partially transparent.
they will still also stay reflective and watery but i find it much better this way.
