Quite often I've had villagers disappear forever for no apparent reason. This happens with children even when I tell them to "stay here" in a well lit room free of danger. It happens with Guards that have 40 HP and can kill any mob with 3 strikes at most.
I think most disappearances occur when I'm at least 200-300 blocks away. Or maybe when I log back into the game, I can't really say for sure.
Guard movement
Guards seem to simply ignore the "stay here" command. They will go chopping mobs at every opportunity, and eventually wander far from the village and tend to die 30-50 blocks away, where they reach a high concentration of hostiles.
At the very least, after an attack is over, guards should return to the initial place where they were told to stay.
Ideally, they could have a special command to patrol between point A and B. I've read that MCA is using it's own movement algorithm, so basic patrolling should be quite doable imo.
Professions
Some professions seem to be skipped. After searching 20+ villages on several different maps, I have yet to meet one single Priest. And I'm pretty sure I never saw any Fisherman, Miner, Mason or Sheperd either...
There are supposedly 22 professions in MCA, based on the language file [and 13 as per the radix homepage], why do I only see about 10 of them in my villages ?
Another related thing, sometimes 90% of villagers have the same profession (most often Librarian, sometimes Warriors or Guards).
Gender / names
I see a lot of male names in the female list and viceversa. I find it ridiculous to see a bearded warrior named Antonia, or a bunch of ladies called Aaron, Timothy, Albert, Robert.

Hmm. Priests have been renamed Clerics, other than that I'm seeing all the professions you're missing in my home (crystall-ball created) village. I haven't done censuses on worldgen villages. Haven't had much trouble with despawning either, and the guards stay put since I fenced around the entire village.

I did some CraftTweaker scripts for Mystical Agriculture. They fill in a couple of small gaps in MA, and also let you make or duplicate not only vanilla plants, but the blocks, plants and wood from Quark and Biomes O'Plenty. Also spawn eggs for most vanilla mobs! The scripts are here on Github.
WildBamaBoy I love very much this mod, and of course I want it was more interesting so I think other players approve the idea of having royal levels, as agreed to have a family is not enough, you need to rule the village
Is there a way to create villages from scratch and have it become populated? I can't find whether or not this is an option or what limitations it might have. (I'm trying to build an underground dwarven city )
sorry friend, the more you do not understand, read the previous pages forum and you will enteder what I'm talking about, I already know that you can now become village Baron, another forum friend showed a very interesting idea. she talks about players become something more than a baron. depending on the village of happiness, you may be: a baron, a monarch and finally an emperor. so try to ask people about what they are talking before commenting
I don't know how far you wish to take this mod but I had an Idea and thought you might find it interesting. My idea is similar to animal crossing in a way,in that you can become mayor/leader.I was replacing the gravel walkway with cobblstone and was wondering if I would get an achievement after completion or maybe something like leader points.
I didn't of course but I couldn't help but think it would be fun to be able to either order improvements,or add houses via commands or even needing to build it yourself with a reward system in place to make it interesting.I don't know if this is a direction you wish to go with your mod but if not then thats fine.it's fun as is.
Ohh,also a good/bad reputation bar would be cool too.

So upgraded from 5.0.2 1.7.10 to 5.2.2 and my adopted child went from a overly sized NPC to an undersized kid witha stone block for a head. Then shortly he vanished into a toy...and never returned......
Does anyone know if MCA is usable with either HQM or Better Questing as far as writing quests specifically for MCA interactions? For example a quest that can detect if you have a child or get married.
I got married with a villager and one day the villager just disappeared. It had a home set but it didn't come back at night. When I tried to marry another villager, it said that I was already married.
Not certain if it's already been suggested, but do you have any plans to add any other family members? For example, with the villager editor, being able to set villagers as family. Brother, Sister, Cousin etc...

Your spouse may have gotten trapped someplace awkward. Have you tried using a whistle? If the whistle doesn't work, you'll need to get a divorce from a cleric.

Here's a few issues I found with MCA :
Despawning

You'll need to update to the latest version - 5.2.3.
So upgraded from 5.0.2 1.7.10 to 5.2.2 and my adopted child went from a overly sized NPC to an undersized kid witha stone block for a head. Then shortly he vanished into a toy...and never returned......
Other than that....looks good....
Does this mod work with all of the 1.10.2 forges or just the specific one
Not certain if it's already been suggested, but do you have any plans to add any other family members? For example, with the villager editor, being able to set villagers as family. Brother, Sister, Cousin etc...
It will be added in later updates.
Your spouse may have gotten trapped someplace awkward. Have you tried using a whistle? If the whistle doesn't work, you'll need to get a divorce from a cleric.
This thread isn't getting much attention these days... strange.....
