Hey there. i am having problem :S When i have finished recording the movie, there is no movie file :X just new empty folder in \movies folder :S I think i have done all what i should to do to make it working propertly.
Minecraft version is 1.5.2, forge installed, x.264.exe in \bin folder ... something more i am missing ?
In Minema.cfg, you could try to set I:encoder.mode to 2, set S:encoder.path to the path to your x264.exe and increase the "--qp" parameter up to 20. But for best quality, it's much more recommended to re-encode the captured video, since it's just a quick and raw encode that focuses on speed and quality rather than compression efficiency.
And Windows Movie Maker isn't really the best choice for a video encoder. There should be various tutorials about re-encoding videos for YouTube with better programs if you ask Google.
Thank you so much! Its like an answer to my prayers, I make minecraft cinematics and trailers with minema and now that's its updated to 1.5 I can! I am so thankful you updated it cause the texture pack for a server I was going to make a trailer for was not working with 1.4.7.
Please keep updating it you help so many people when you do
Hey, I am just starting out in the world of minecraft and was wondering, after you have finished recording, can you put the video with a recording of your voice, like a commentary? Thanks.
Just wondering, whats up with the memory leak fix? Is it included in the current download, or still separate and still hasn't been updated yet. Or was it fixed by Mojang? Just wondering, I need it for a video.
Edit: Nevermind, tried it anyways just to see and it still froze. Is there an ETA on the fix?
Is it possible to remake the non-Forge version? I have other mods that aren't built for Forge (ex. Optifine) that I use during filming, and would enjoy it if an optional non-Forge download would be kept and updated.

Err, the x264 link is uhh...not workin i should think. it leads me to a blank white page with a YouTube video i have to watch, callled Nothing to see here - Naked Gun so, yeah...
When you open the movie in QuickTime, go to the top left and click File -> Export. Change the Format (at the bottom of the window which appears) to 'Mac & PC'. If Mac and PC is not there, chose any of the Formats closest to the bottom OR any format which is not 'Movie'.

Make sure the x264.exe is in the correct folder (.minecraft\bin). If it is, please post your "ForgeModLoader-client-0.log" log file.
Yay now it works! I downloaded x264.exe from another web site and it worked
Well, the build page seems to be down for some reason. Here's an alternative link:
