1. when i launch it, i get this: http://i49.tinypic.com/jgsas4.jpg
while this does not prevent me from playing in any way, i find it strange that i would get 61 lines of errors with only the mods required installed.
2. i notice i have no ability to make a weapon when i'm starting out.. is there something to replace a stone sword?

You use a javelin in the stone age now. It's like making a flint tool only with an extra stick.
I believe flux has been added and that way of welding is out of date since I am able to make flux and weld with it. Unless Adun89 is using an outdated version of the mod. If that's so then the limestone cobble should work.
what version of the mod are you running?
I'm running the latest version, well latest as of two days ago. Limestone didn't work, but flux does. i cheated to get some flux for us to use, and it works just fine, just can't craft it. although we did run into another issue with not being able to finish the tin boots. we can get them to stage 1 unfinished and can't get them to stage two. The only thing that i can think of is there are conflicting id's somewhere but i don't have any other mods that add id's. the one's i am running are modloader, forge, rei's minimap (which the colors don't work with grass, assumed to be due to the grass being id number 3:1; 3:2..., and rei's minimap does not read them that way) player api and tfc.
Does anybody know of a back pack mod that works with TFcraft

Don't you need the prospector's head item to craft one? Or is there a regular crafting pattern? Sorry, I'm pretty new in case you can't tell...
You only need the head items to craft metal tools. You can make stone tools the same way as in vanilla. For the stone prospectors pick, just put 3 pieces of cobble as if you're making a stone pickaxe, then add one more piece of cobble on either side of the stick.
Oh no, nothing like that; it's just a small server my boyfriend runs and we play on together. We only started it a couple days ago when TFcraft had a worldgen update.
hi, with b2pre16, no matter how I try to install it I always get this error,

20 seeds later, no granite found. Any ideas, or even a seed?
Trick to finding Granite...
Step one... Knowledge...
The Flint on the Surface actually reflects the Stone underground, If its black you could be standing over Basalt to Dolomite. White, you have a chance to be over Diorite, Conglomerate, Chalk or even the Elusive Granite. Each stone actually has a unique Surface to its Texture, I don't know about the other Texture Pack thats out there but for the Vanilla one, Granite is a White and smooth stone. You can easily confuse it with Quartzite, Rock Salt or even Chalk. There is a trick to visually identifying it but I am not very good at it yet...
EDIT:: Another thing to note, DIRT takes on the colour of the Stone aswell. Granite Dirt is a white in colour with a slight darkening, if you find to bright white dirt, then its not Granite...
Step two... FINDING it...
WALK... Don't rely on World Genning to plonk you down ontop of Granite, go out there and look for it. Keep looking around for Surface Flint that is White and then dig down and check the stone, throw the Stone into your inv and check what kind it is if needed. Don't be afraid to go out there, collecting Flint and sticks on the way, make Spears and Spearhunt Pigs and Cows. A Thrown Spear can kill a Pig in one shot, having 2 in your Inv and you can two shot most Mobs if needed, though there is a chance the spear disappears, that or I am blind to picking it back up again...
Step three... Profit...
Mine wisely now, don't go get yourself buried under rock now you have found the stone, search for the Cassiterite people...
1: Sheers... Getting tired of punching sheep for one wool...
2: Cooking Pit... Getting tired of cooking 1 meat/fire...
3: Compatibility to some addition mods. This would be the last thing ever, but I wouldn't mind being able to use Battlegear mod with this...
EDIT:: WHAT THE HELL??? MY WHEAT ISN'T GROWING!!! I NEED FOOD!!!
For some reason the tilled land isn't becoming irrigated dispite being next to water, nor is my Seeds growing nor does Bonemeal boost, did he change this or something???
Side note, been putting on each of the armours, very nice...
2: Cooking Pit... Getting tired of cooking 1 meat/fire...
You can cook 5 meat at a time in a forge. I wouldn't mind seeing a better setup for cooking though either. Maybe something will come along with the new agriculture system that's on the horizon.

Also, how does the biome system work? I have a mod that makes new biomes, and I don't know if that would conflict with the biomes of this mod.
It should just sit in the output... does that eventually decrease? I haven't done much testing, but I haven't had that problem yet.

i thought you didn't need modloader now that there is no TFC_Game anymore... ill put on and see if it works XD

Make a stone one? Use a flint tool to dig some cobble...
Keep looking, or yes, keep restarting. Either way.

Backpack, by MightyPork. It even works in SMP with TFcraft SMP. I know because I'm using it on my server right now.
