I appear to have my silly cap on as I'm having some trouble getting any water pumping happening on my test map.
After a few different configurations I have this, but still no dice.
Could someone tell me what I'm getting wrong, a screencap of a working setup would also be grand.
Edit : And *after* I post that the water starts to enter the pipes. Seems the warmup time is just longer than my internet shriveled patience. Though any engineering changes pointed out would still be appreciated.
Hey, infinte fuel. You can fuel a combustion engine infiniteely if you have a lava source nearby - if you're willing to stand there and keep refilling the bucket.
Thought it'll mention it though.
Fair enough, although that's not new as it would have happened previously with HCB enabled anyways. Will fix it up soon.

Hehe...well, the only thing I noticed offhand is that you don't need an intake pipe coming off of the Pump. It'll pump straight into a regular pipe, saving you on the extra engine.
I see this inevetably leading to Dwarf Fortress style abominations, waterwheels powered by water they pump themselves, and somehow supplying power for other functions at the same time. I'm beginning my own research in this direction already, using a second engine to power the pump while the wooden engine warms up.

Well, I believe Pumps only work on source blocks, and considering you could just run a Water Wheel off of a source-block anyways, I don't think you'll really achieve anything with the above :smile.gif:
I have no doubt it's possible, it just doesn't accomplish anything given that the Spout is really just a means of generating a source-block at a distance.

Worse still the pump removes source blocks it's pumping from, if you're not using a self replenishing pool of some sort, or if it chooses to pump out one of the critical source blocks that allows it to refill, you can end up destroying the watersource you're trying to use, (found that out the hard way).
Still, it's worth it to make all the engineers I know wince, which is one of my secondary incentives for playing minecraft in the first place.
This is not a tutorial.
This not something that is necessary.
This is not efficient, I just threw things around trying to get it all to work.
(A rough draft if you will)
This is huge, ugly and a complete waste of time.
However, i think it blends btw and bc in a spirit of both.
I wasn't gonna post it, but then changed my mind.
So, if the above doesn't turn you off to this, go ahead and watch, or not.
Before someone asks, yes bloodwood trees grow normally quite well and quite fast without fertilizer.
I just used it speed it up.
Chaechew
Edit: Byproduct of sawing bloodwood trees is soul dust not saw dust.
It is used to make soul urns and it has a byproduct of saw dust so you get both in 1
Playing since Beta 1.3_01. Yeah. I like BTW. Or used to. Still do. Stuff Technic. (Back in the day...)

New mod, same tradition, a certain Walker decided it was a good idea to rest his tired eyes while FC puts out a major release. I CANNOT wait to play with this! I cannot thank you enough for this one FC!

Yoink!
My next project just happened to be the construction of a water pumping station. Excellent timing on the release. ^^

Hehe...awesome stuff man. I think we're just starting to see the beginnings of the real craziness that people start making with BTB.
Thanks for posting it
Lol! Out of curiosity, how did you start it spinning?
There will be another mod that is in the "Better" series.
Like Better then Industrial Craft.
I would like to see this.
(PS not trolling but i it would great)
I'm going to take a guess and say he manually added water to the tanks by hand.
Probaly not, BTB is a bit of a one-off.
That gives me an idea though...
