The mods I have are
EDIT: Modloader
Too Many items
Better Sprinting
Zan's Minimap
Single Player Console
Lite Loader
Optifine
all up to date installed in that order with Magic Launcher.
For anyone else who gets as tired of this mod never getting updated as I am, I wrote a Forge-compatible version. You can get it here: http://build.mcnsa.com/job/Modpack/lastSuccessfulBuild/artifact/artefacts/mods/WorldEditUI.zip. I won't lie, a lot of the base code is copied straight from WorldEditCUI, I've just edited it and rewrote parts of it so that it will work with Forge without any fuss. Just drop the .zip file into your mods folder and it should work in-game like the regular WorldEditCUI does.
The only caveat is that right now the mod only supports cuboid selections (not ellipses, cylinders, or polygons), but I will work on those when I have some time. If this mod ever gets updated, I'll go back to the official one, but for now - this is a handy alternative!
We have this mod as a requirement for all moderators who can use WorldEdit on a server group that I help admin. We're at http://www.mcnsa.com/, if you appreciate this release please do me a favour and check our servers out! (Survival server: s.mcnsa.com, Flatcore server: f.mcnsa.com, FTB server: ftb.mcnsa.com)

Can you use it w/o Forge?

Is this updated for 1.5.1? I just gave it a go and it still don't display the UI for the selections.
Something like this just flat out needs to be default with worldedit.
Yes, this was written entirely in 1.5.1. Do you have Forge installed? If so, go to the "mods" list of the main screen, and make sure the "WorldEditUI" mod is there. I've tested it on 3 different servers with WorldEdit installed, and it worked everywhere (again, only for cuboid selections), so without more information there's not much help I can provide unfortunately.
What kind? When I tested the zip rename method, the Magic Launcher just said "no mods found," and it played as if it wasn't installed in the first place.

When I said I tried the LiteLoader version. I meant that I had LiteLoader installed as well.

I'm not sure but I think that you strokethrough the wrong word.
It only says the cui is out of date and the latest version is 1.4.6?
Nope.
Still works for me, but the "out of date" text is annoying.

Use the lite loader version if you don't want forge.
Did you download Liteloader and put that in the jar?
And did you put the mod into the "mods" folder or renamed litemod to zip and put the mod in the jar ?

Does anything show up in the log files?
1. If using Magic Launcher counts, then yes, I did.
2. I did the former, testing the latter.. EDIT: Didn't work.
Are there any logs?
