Description:
Adds sponges to the worldgenerator which you can craft to must. This must you can "breed" to bacterias. These blocks can be trained to eat a specific block type like grass, stone, water, etc.
For Breeding just put the must in water and it will grow... (see picture)
For Using the Bacterias put the block where you want and they will be trained to eat the blocktype above them (if there's no, they'll wait :wink.gif: (see picture)
Video:
Changes: Version 1.6:
- Compatibility with 1.1 :wink.gif:
Version 1.5 (beta):
- BETA!!! => The Jammer's not working well :sad.gif:
- Properties File (IDs, ShitBlock, UpdateMode) in /.minecraft/BacteriaMod.cfg
- You can now set 3 blocks as food on top, then power by redstone :wink.gif:
- The Bacteria are now able to "****" blocks, like tnt :biggrin.gif: (Properties file)
- The new Update Mode is not working very well, but try it!
Version 1.4:
- Added a crafting recipe for the jammer... sorry for that :sad.gif:
Version 1.3:
- 4 new Achievements
- Bacteria JAMMER!! (if a bacterium colony hits it it will start)
Version 1.2:
- Bacteria grow slower in flowing water
- automatic farmable (drops only must yet... :mellow.gif: )
- Changed Block name to "Bacterium Colony" and Item to "Bunch of Bacteria"
- Crafting Recipe for Sponge
- New "Bunch of Bacteria" texture
- A Brick block anywhere above now stops Bacteria!!!
1. Go to the ".minecraft/bin" directory
2. Use 7zip or another archive viewer to open minecraft.jar
3. Delete the META-INF folder (if on a MAC only delete the Mojang_c files)
4. Copy ALL the ".class" files and the "mod" folder contained within the mod to minecraft.jar.
5. Close minecraft.jar
7. Enjoy the mod!
TODO:
- Some Anti-bacteria spray
- Maybe infecting bacteria
- Good bacteria and bad bacteria?
- Some other types of bacteria (e.g. make dirt to grass, sand to glass :laugh.gif: )
- Use bacteria for making food :tongue.gif: (e.g. rodden flesh > flesh)
- Bacteria eating through the air :biggrin.gif:
- Integrate "Magnificent Microbe Mod" ? (by Slydog)
- ideas from you ? :biggrin.gif:
How to stop them:
- (v1.3+) Jammer! :cool.gif:
- (v1.2+) Bricks
- just place another bacterium colony anywhere and place another block on top... something that's not near the other bacteria
- make a kind of trench/ditch around it so that the blocks have no contact to others
- just save and load again
Hey im haveing the same issue as the last couple comments, the must breed, all the crafting works, no blackscreen, but the bacteria dont do anything. Any ideas?

I love the mod! I dislike the texture! Can I possibly make one for you - I have Adobe Photoshop CS4. And if I do and you like it - will you possible use it?

COOOOOOOOOOL DUDE, you should add more bacterias some that try to kill you or some that you just find :ohmy.gif: please do it and pm me when its ready up
Is there still a problem with the jammer? At least it doesn't seem to be doing anything for me. I get the wobbly visual effect, but the bacteria goes on eating....

To tell them how to live is to prevent them living.
Cool on the update. But, I checked a lot in the 1.6 version and never found any natural sponge, is that fixed? They should be underwater, right? I looked over a large area of a new map and found zero sponge.

Thanks for updating the OP with more current details. It sucks about the bricks being disabled since the jammer doesn't work even close to the same way.
