I don't mean to be offensive but could you guys take your FMA and Dragon chat to another thread? I know we do tend to go on tangents but I've counted like 5 pages worth of your Off-Topic chatter and it is kinda cluttering the thread where others are trying to talk about the mod.

The mod is not getting a update for a while till 1.3 comes out and most of the ideas have been spread thin, all we can do at this point is just be off topic till we all get an idea were we can argue and debate about it for Azanors reviewing.

I understand that but you don't have the chatter off-topic here. There is an off-topic area and there's always chat rooms and whatnot. I'm not trying to be a party pooper it's just this thread is for the mod and not anime discussion and whatnot.

We did discuss the idea of a botany expansion that would add a lot of new plants etc that would have different uses and could maybe be researched etc

Perhaps Infusing it with the Stabalized Singularity upgrade? I mean if the Wand was made from a normal Singularity then a stabalized one would buff it right? Or possibly add some crystals or more enchanted wood with it to boot?

I believe he said he's currently only doing bug fixes, and it will be awhile until the next update, which will be big.
I don't think he said he was done after that update. (If he dares to try, we'll pummel him... With suggestions and ideas.)
As per the upgraded wand- We'll let him decide. (Name idea: 'Wand of Time'. Total control over time... for removing upgrades and seals, at least.)

I like the idea of an upgraded Wand of Reversal, especially when you're trying to carry "portable" set ups of condensers et al for taint-killing purposes. Having to set up, put in concentrated evil upgrade, lower the taint, break down the setup to move to another tainted area and hope you get the upgrade back is a little frustrating.
BTW, when you open an Eldritch monolith and the taint escapes, is it supposed to EXPLODE your taint levels to the MAX? I'm playing on an original 1.2.3 upgraded to a 1.2.5 world and got both the 2.1 and 2.1.1 versions of TC2. Before the 2.1.1 patch I only opened one monolith and it caused slight uptick in taint. After 2.1.1 I opened 2 monoliths and both exploded the taint to the max. I tried a creative mode test in a new world with 2.1.1 and both monoliths I opened ticked the taint level up modestly.
All the monoliths were opened in deserts. I'm assuming the explosion of taint I got is what people were talking about from 1.2.3 worlds as being ridiculous?

I was testing it in 2.1.1(TC) worlds, and the taint jumped a ton as well.
It makes sense, though. The Eldritch sacrificed themselves to remove all their knowledge, and all the taint... But they failed on removing all of the taint, and a certain someone figured out how to open their Monoliths.
I still want an Eldritch Golum (with flamethrower) guarding the inside of the Monoliths- Or maybe just the side rooms.
Don't quote me on that earlier statement but I remember him mentioning that there'd be one more big update and then it's bug fixes from then on but really he's the author and he could change that around to keep updating the mod with more content.
Either way I'm glad he made this mod and kept it up and running so far with all the updates popping out. Also glad he's taking a break for some well deserved R&R.
Do brains actually have a chance of automatically giving you the theory for brain jars, or are they just a part of forbidden knowledge? Reason why I'm asking is that my brains have only resulted in fragments of forbidden knowledge.
Also, what's the best, most cost-effective way to taint an area? And to establish a crystal farm?
For now I'm just going to release bugfixes and (groan) version updates when MC updates. There will no (or few) new features for a while. Maybe tiny things, but nothing game-changing.
I'm taking a break for a while just to relax - creating the mod is fun, but also hard work and stressful at times. Do you know I haven't actually played minecraft in at least 5 months?
Heck, I have Skyrim installed but never got above level 9 in my character before I got distracted by Thaumcraft.
I have at least one BIG addition planned for 2.2 and a long list of smaller things I want to add. But that won't happen anytime soon.

I've recently installed Thaumcraft, Modloader, ModloaderMP and Forge 1.2.5.
I was really excited to get into messing around with seals, making portals and spewing flames all over those damned skeletons!
The odd thing is I can log into the game fine, then I can navigate everything well, but when I go to create a new world it gets stuck on "Generating terrain" for a short while then the screen turns black, I'm not getting a crash report or anything!
Has anyone else experienced this?

I would remove ModloaderMP, and make sure Meta-Inf is deleted.

It's nice for people who want to build high and all- But they didn't add anything interesting along with it, so I keep forgetting.
