Would you consider making NPCs, whole factions of NPCs, and whole worlds of NPCs with all their quests and such into exportable/importable files? They could be shared on, for example, planet minecraft and serve as templates/inspiration or be used directly and modified to fit their new world.
Are commands fired as the Command Block does, in the normal mod version?
If they are, how could permissions be blocking them? O.o
I was calling the CommandManager and was properly suplying the ICommandSender and command String and it wasnt working. So yea it was either permissions or something else.
What you just quoted was an old test version that has already been released. In the current version I simulate being a TileCommandBlockEntity and simply make that process the command and work as ICommandSender. Which is an incredably dirty way of doing it.

You can share your factions.dat, dialogs.dat and quests.dat from your world. Though you cant merge them with existing version.
Noppes, I was using the mod, and I tried to add a sound from minecraft to an NPC. I went to advanced, got to sounds, chose select sound, and double clicked minecraft, but there was nothing there. If this helps I played 1.7, then switched back to 1.6 to play with the mod. I hope the Custom NPCs crew can fix this or tell me if it is something wrong with my .minecraft folder.

Very cool, I didn't know that you could do that. Would it be possible for a future release to change the files to folders and just read any files in the folder, to support importation? I think it could make for some very rich worlds built very quickly if people were sharing and combining these things.

This happens when i use the NPC wand, nothing happens, when i right click the air for the NPC menu i see the NPC name and cant interact with it, i just get

I am using Multicraft with a Host, when i make a server on my own computer everything works, but when i use the exact same server with my multicraft host, it doesnt work, no crash or anything, just the cant find entity 26 error, any ideas or suggestions?
Could a quick spawn function be added to the cloner, like left clicking spawns the last npc?

When an npc has a ranged attack with the "use ranged attack until close" option, the number always resets to 4 after the gui is exited

Noppes, I still love the mod but I am getting frustrated. I am making a quest and I put something in the item slot and hit back and I'm off the Npc edit screen. I go back, hit the quest edit button and the item is gone. This happens every time. Hope you can fix this Noppes.

Do the commands work with bukkit plugins? I was trying to make a NPC spawn an undead horse through a bukkit plugin called dark horse. It didn't do anything... maybe a permission issue? need to grant the mod admin permission? if so what character do I give permission for this to work? thanks
Are you going to add the asymmetrical + jacket/sleeve/pants layers to the human male texture template? I would love to be able to have asymmetrical NPCs.
Also, suggestion: What about a "Combiner" role? Basically, when you pick the role, you press Edit, and in the editing options you can pick up to 10 other NPCs (that are nearby) for the NPC to combine with into a different NPC, and there would be a button, "Combined", and when you click it, it opens a list of NPCs with a button on the bottom. The NPCs list would be "combined forms", and the button on the bottom would create a new NPC that you can edit and pick a model and size and texture for as if it was a normal NPC, but when you close the editor window, it just adds it to the "Combined forms" list, and you can pick it for the combined form of the NPCs.
In the Combiner role options, there would be a "reason" option, where you can pick under what circumstances the NPCs group together and then turn into the "combined form." It could be sighting an enemy, or being attacked, or attacking, or protecting teammates, stuff like that.
When the circumstances are met, as I implied already, they would all run towards eachother and group up and when they get close enough, the "combined form" appears and the NPCs that form it disappear. You could also pick a line for it to announce when they combine.
And the combined form could have its own role, too, like a bodyguard or a boss.
I know it's kind of a strange request, but I cannot describe how much I would adore a feature like that. It would be great for a boss battle.
Please make ''Import model'' and ''Import textture'' button while you are editing your NPCs becuz that woud be so awesome becuz you woudent haft to install more mods and for ''Import texture'' no need for closing your minecraft so you cud add a texture in Custom NPCs mod.I know it is a *********************************** hard to make but plz it woud been awesome thing to add to this already awesome mod!!!
Faction Integration with Towny (when joins town adds x amount of faction points)
This is so that each town can have quests just for their residents, etc.
Intergration with bukkit currencies (Vault, etc)
That is so when you finish quests you get some server currency.
Making it so that you can set npc skins to a skin on the internet.
This makes it so that there is an option 'Internet' (In same place as Player/Texture), which you put a URL into and get the skin, so you don't have to set your skin to it in multiplayer

I LOVE the mail system. Seems to be working great for me (other than an Edu conflict with student permissions).
Can I make a suggestion? The ability to send an item (or two or three) attached to a mail. This would include mail sent as a quest reward, or triggered by a dialogue.
