Would it be possible to mark NPCS as Villagers so when running a butcher -a (for animals) it doesnt kill npcs? I'm looking for a way to make animals despawn on my server but when using the -a flag it kills npcs too.
Or would it be possible to mark NPCS as players - without taking up a slot on the server?
Not sure if this kind of post is allowed in the forum; I just wanted to share what I've been doing with this mod.
It's made Minecraft at least 2X as addictive as it already was. Causing me to neglect pretty much every other project I have going on in my life right now. Thanks.
At least my Minecraft stuff looks TOTALLY FREAKIN' AWESOME!!!
Not sure if this has been said before but if I set and npc's resistance for knockback, arrow, or melee it works if I hit the npc. But if a different npc hits and npc it doesn't.
It seemed like arrow resistance was indeed not working for npc. Knockback and melee seem to work fine though

Hey Noppes, if you're at all interested, I made an updated and more detailed video of my educational world that could only be completed thanks to your mod. I don't know if you'd be interested in adding/replacing it in the OP.
When I try to download the file for 1.6.4, it gives me the file for 1.6.2. Please help!

Just two suggestions that I do believe were not on the To-List:
NPC Cam/Control
NPC shop (to buy an actual npc, I'm making a civ, sort of thing, possible give a spawn egg that would spawn it? )
EDIT: Also how does npc spawning work (From a spawner)? Do the ones that flee from day spawn at night? Or do they all spawn at day? I can only get them to spawn at day and I want some to spawn at night.
i remember this being posted on this in an earlier page, but how hard would it be to make a cut-scene system made with a 3rd party animation software like mine-imator using the npc pather to set the trigger area?

Hmmmm knockback and arrow res. work fine for me, but if I make an npc invincible (100% melee res) it works if a player hits it but not an npc. So maybe I'm using an older version or something.
The redstone block seem extremely buggy when dealing with quests and faction points. They are ALWAYS on when a quest or faction is chosen ho matter if you haven't done the quest or are not friendly with the faction. The dialog portion seems to work fine, only turns on when the dialog has been chosen in the past and doesn't open if you have not seen the dialog.
I'm using this mod to make an Adventure map, and I've encountered a slight problem. I've set-up a few dialogs that occur at specific points in the storyline, but, while testing these, to confirm they work, I kind of... Locked them up.
Let me simplify this. I have 3 NPC's, a blacksmith, the blacksmith's assistant, and a priest. The player's trying to find the Blacksmith, so they go to the Blacksmiths shop, and the assistant tells them the Blacksmith may be at home or at the local church. This enables Dialogs related to the Blacksmith in the Priest, and enables the final "Found you" Dialog in the blacksmith himself. After interacting with the Blacksmith himself, the dialog in the assistant and priest that relates to the blacksmith are now unusable.
Now, I can't seem to reset those Dialogs so they can be used again. I've tried removing the Dialogs from all the NPC's, and then readding them, but none of them show the proper dialogs.
I don't what the dialogs to be there permanently, I just want to reset them so they can be repeated once, for when the map is released. If anyone could help me, it would be great.

I think you should make some potion making system EX: Steak will make instant health potion but only if Mundane base potion is used. and maybe a system to make base potions as well EX: Soup makes a Thick base potion which an :-( ): Apple can be used with the thick potion to make Regeneration or something. you get the idea
And also a way to disable Potion recipes & Crafting recipes would be nice

Thanks a lot! But doesn't it just share PlayerData on Singleplayer? From my experience, if you download a map that was made on Singleplayer, and play it on singleplayer, your location in the world, inventory, ender chest, etc. are all shared. Does that still apply with Custom NPC quests?

Okay, so I installed this on ftb unleashed, along with single player commands, tree capitator and optifine. I've used it before, and it did this glitch then too. Basically, when I set an npc up to have more than one dialog [putting the first dialogue in the first place, and second in the second place], it shows the first in the third place, and the second in the first. I also can't see the second dialogue. I'm probably doing something wrong but with the tricky design for making quests and dialogues it's kind of hard to figure out. And, in my defense so I look less stupid atleast, I never really saw any videos or anything explaining how to set up either. It's a great mod, but a little complicated. These really is the only thing things I'm confused by.
Can you make an option where NPCs can breed with another that can bee really useful if you have castle with limited stuff and you can get workers out of it and also make some NPCs have a youth as well child ,teenager and adult you can also have a builder job and a messenger job where you can command the messenger what other NPC what to like commanding a NPC general to lead his army and attack a base with the messenger telling you what's happening around the town and stuff daily or monthly And have crafters that can craft stuff that you can tell them what to craft got alot if ideas and please respond if you have more , thanksL:

I mostly use Magic Launcher, but after reading on about page 365 that forge doesn't support Magic Launcher, i tried MultiMC.
MMC Doesn't use the mods i put in the folder for some reason.
Know another launcher? Would Mojang's minecraft launcher work, with putting Mod folder in .minecraft, or in versions?
Try to understand that as best as you can, it's getting late (Almost 3am) and my brains about to explode

Installing mods on minecraft default launcher:
Make sure you run minecraft once so that all files are there. (You only need to load it up until you see the menu for single/mutliplayer etc).
Download latest or recomended (just make sure it's for the version of Minecraft you're running). Make sure you choose installer when you choose file to download.
When the installer is downloaded, make sure it's a .jar-file and just run it by double-clicking it.
If you've done the steps above you the installer should find your minecraft installation by itself so just press ok.
When done, start Minecraft again and choose FORGE as profile and start the game. As before, only needed to see the menu in the game, then you can close down Minecraft.
Now. Go to your .minecraft folder (users/<yourwindowaccountname>/appdata/roaming/.minecraft)
If you've done it all correctly you should have a folder named mods. Just put your mods in there and run the game using FORGE profile.
If you're trying to run a bunch of mods make sure to check the ID's in each mods config to make sure they're not trying to use the same ID's. (if you try running it an they use the same ID's it will say ID conflict in log). Config is found in /.minecraft/config
