Please update this cool mod to 1.8 I really like it but I can't use it in a server because all servers are now using 1.8+ so please update this mod to 1.8

2. 90% modded servers are 1.7.10.
3. JM is a client only mod.
Please add an option to have placeholders for missing icons. Every time it can't find one the game freezes for a second with a message similar to this in the console.

very nice map ive been looking for a new minimap mod for a while since i havent been able to use the one i normally do. i like that i can see the map from google as well, but im wondering if it is at all possible to maybe add the ability to give out a link to the google maps url for others to look at, such as during a live stream with multiple players?
some user feedback to report on this latest beta, which I have been using for a while.
when I load other servers than the main one I am playing, it overwrites the main server's data. In other words it doesn't seem to be able to generate new server sub-folders in the /journemap/data/mp?
especially on plains biomes, the grassy areas (formerly green) get overwritten in whatever area I go into and, show up as black. Is there some sort of color scheme incompatibility with whatever texture pack someone is using?
Edit: downloaded the latest version (b6) and the color issue seems to have been addressed, map colors look normal now.

Sorry, but that makes no sense.
Considering it used to have a placeholder texture for unknown entities, it does make sense. Not to mention if you know anything about coding, you understand the power of conditionals. When it can't find a texture for the entity, it applies the placeholder texture instead. Don't criticize what you don't understand.
It still have a placeholder texture (it is transparent, but still), which it will drop into a sprites directory the first time it encounter an unknown entity.
Read my question again. I asked, how could it know beforehand, for which entities to add the placeholders?…

How can I disable the F3 JM line?
"[JM] Surface: 7 = 225 chunks in 450ms (avg 2.0ms)" on the debug screen, I use Ingame info for my debug screen and that line is just out of place and I'd like it disabled.
Even with cave mapping enabled, JourneyMap does not map the Outer Lands labyrinths in Thaumcraft 4. Is this by design (either on the part of JourneyMap, or possibly by Thaumcraft 4 setting some property that prevents them from being mapped)?

Once 5.1.1 changes are backported to 1.7.10, this should hopefully be fixed.
Hey techbrew team I am assuming I am not the first to say this but its a bit urksome so I am going to mention it again. The FPS counter is missing even when enabled and the latest beta not longer has proper journeymap serverside support.
Oh yeah another thing the latest beta greatly messes up visuals that are added by other mods related to GUI!
Just tried the 1.8 builds: journeymap-1.8-5.1.1b7-unlimited.jar and liteloader-installer-1.8.0-00-SNAPSHOT.jar, my game starts up to a blank white screen (with music playing). I'm using Forge 1450, though of course that shouldn't matter.

I did some CraftTweaker scripts for Mystical Agriculture. They fill in a couple of small gaps in MA, and also let you make or duplicate not only vanilla plants, but the blocks, plants and wood from Quark and Biomes O'Plenty. Also spawn eggs for most vanilla mobs! The scripts are here on Github.
Apologies if this is an already asked issue, tried thread search and got no hits. Trying to use webmap, and when I load it in the browser all I get is "invalid request".
Default port 8080. journey map works fine in game. Going to localhost where the client is running, also tried specific IP address instead of localhost just in case.
Http and https, both on port 8080, same thing, invalid request.

One more thing you forgot, AnrDaemon, is that on the OP at the TOP says it's Beta 1.8 and a link to the the Beta is the actual word "Beta"
I have an option request, when I start a new world or join an old one, I zoom the minimap in 2 times, is there a current way or is it to much of a problem to add a default zoom option in the options?
Also, I know this mapping system is far more a heavy load than other options out there (which is why this is a quality piece of art) but are you working on making it lighter? with Voxel I get 60-70FPS but yours I get about 20-40FPS with dips to Zero FPS at times. are there any recommended settings to lighten the load for now? like mob distance or count or any other options? AA is off...

Hi here. I render my map full with Dynmap. Could I somehow to put all generated map from Dynmap to client-side Journey map?

Until someone ports this legendary mod I am leaving the minecraft scene. http://www.cosc.canterbury.ac.nz/greg.ewing/minecraft/mods/ArchitectureCraft/#mozTocId598776 I have watched too many legendary mods die and carpenters blocks sudden fallout out of mainstream made me cry. I realize the source is messy but some of the best mods from 1.6.4 and 1.7.10 were.

MentalMouse42, Idk if you solved this yet, but mine did the same thing, you just have to download Forge 1502 instead and it should work

OMG! Just updated to Win10 and that 20-40FPS I said I was getting, well it has gone up to 57-60FPS since I last played it on Win7!
