Is it possible to somehow temporarily disable JourneyMap from updating tiles as you explore? Sometimes I like to test different texture packs but then I'm forced to remap everything again as it otherwise overwrites the existing map data with the different textures. =\
Also, would it be possible to export the map and have the waypoints included in the output image file?
Finally, I get random navy blue spots in most of the ocean chunks sometimes, kinda like dead pixels. Any idea what could be causing them? It's very annoying and doesn't always happen in the same places, forcing me to go over them to remap and remove them or edit out the glitch directly in the corresponding image file.

Not yet, it's on my to-do list.

Is there a way to put in one image file to replace all of the unknown ones in one swoop? Or will we have to replace each one manually?
Perhaps add a config option to use generic image for all mobs in case you want to just use a red dot, and it would show this image unless a mob has it's own image in the folder?
Erm... dude, you quoted an over-1-year-old post. Are you sure that was intended?
5.0 works perfectly fine for me. Check your keybinds to see if zoom-in and zoom-out keys are red, if so they are being overridden by another keybind.
It's not that zooming doesn't work, it's that I can't zoom out further than 1:1. In this reddit they recommend MapWriter left and right for this feature. I tried it and indeed they were correct, but I almost puked from all the other bugs, shortcomings and idiocracies in MapWriter.

A double resolution texture pack that stays faithful to the original Minecraft textures.
Okay so I might have a weird question and hope someone can help me out.
I started up a server using the Crackpack Mod Pack with a friend and we had a couple issues getting the modpack to download and install the mod, so we decided to do it manually and just drop the Server File on the Server and place the mod by itself in the client mod folder.
I have had a few issues getting the client side to work correctly. It runs fine and I can access the configs for the client side without an issue. While in game the map works amazingly well and I have no issue with waypoints or anything else.
That is until I die or happen to go to another dimension ex:Nether.
Sometimes when I come back it is almost like I am in another instance of the Journey Map mod running, my maps will all be missing and if I try to set up any waypoints I realize that all of my old waypoints are gone.
So I started doing some trouble shooting on my own, I went into the config on the client and in mp folder I removed all of the instances that it had and since I have only actually been on 1 server so far it was actually showing 3 different instances.
Then with a perfectly blank mp folder I connected to my friends server, and I went from this
to this afterward
As you can probably guess but on my client I named the connection Shawn Server. I am wondering if I am having an issue with UID system on the server end. The only issue is that I do not have direct access to edit the server config file but if anyone has any advice on how to possibly resolve the issue I could let him know.
Thank you so much for any advice or help.
Can you get your client log? Pastebin it or dropbox the text file.
I am guessing your sever admin either A: Changed the UUID on you, or B: Needs to update to JourneyMapServer 1.0.2

Sure can, which log file are you looking for, or maybe an approximate location kinda thing, modded versions seem to have so many darn log files.
Also I had no idea the server had been updated, I think we had server version 1.0.1 and I have Client Version 5.0.1.
Is there a changelog for the server by any chance?
Thank you again for all of your help.
go to files, and click the file. It will have the changes in there. You can go through the archived versions if you want older change logs.

Yeah I think it was just an issue with the server side, I am also excited for 1.0.3 for the server version. It looks like you already know about the issue between dimensions and the server config.
EDIT: after some testing on my own with setting up my own local server, it looks like in my new version of the log file http://pastebin.com/WrfhakZr
It looks like I am missing the Migration that you can see on my new log on line 45
I also decided to do my test setup using the updated 1.0.2 Server version, not the 1.0.1 that is on my friends server.
I am hoping that if I can get him to update and reset up the config file that I should now be good to go.
Anything else I should look for or be aware of?

Yea, it looks like the issue is with 1.0.1, your tests with 1.0.2 shows only one ID is being passed to the client. The log for 1.0.1 it is 2 separate IDs.
I have a few things to work on for the next release, Hopefully near the end of the week.
I get the option to teleport on any map I make since I'm the original creator but if I download a map the option isn't there, been following DW20 series and download his world when he posts them (every 10 episodes he makes his map available) and would like to be able to zip to his "builds" for onsite inspection.

For singleplayer, you need to have cheats (commands) enabled or be in creative.

Yes, I understand that, just the world that was made wasn't created in either those modes, so even if I switch to creative the option isn't there, in fact if I am in creative mode and type /op <name> it tells me I don't have permission, need to know how to change it.

In a server set-up, how do I prevent non-Op clients from seeing mobs/pets/villagers/players, without disallowing the PlayerRadar altogether?
[edit] Or alternatively, disallow the radar for survival/adventure players and allowing it for creative players?

Right now radar is all or nothing, but look at the server documentation for using whitelists to give radar privileges to specific players
