Sorry people, I was having problems with the code. The crosshair won't line up exactly and cause problems with block placement. If anyone still wants to try the mod, please tell me. Except for the crosshair and handheld map issues, everything else is pretty much working all right.
Sorry about double posting.
I was able to fix the issue with crosshair and update the mod.
The mod is now compatible with minecraft 1.2.5. Download link is in the original post. Please be aware that this mod is still a work in progress.
Is it possible if you could make this "work" with iChun's Portal Gun?
I'm sorry but iChun's Portal Gun mod depends on minecraft forge and this mod isn't compatible with minecraft forge yet.
I'm currently trying to figure out how to make this mod work with minecraft forge.
Also, if anyone knows how to request hooks for minecraft forge, please feel free to tell me.
After adding Forge support maybe try optifine support? I hope you can do it
The rendering of the items you hold is a little weird like holding the pick with floating corrupted textures.
Here are Screenshots.
See the weird glitched textures and floating textures on the pick?
The glitched textures are more visible on the sword:
Not sure I it probably is Minecraft's rendering system.
I guess, I'll try adding aniscoping filtering and supersampling
to fix that and see if it works

That's strange..can you try holding a map and see what it looks like in first person view? Compatibility with forge is on the way, although I might have to experiment with forge to make it work with optifine.

Here are screenshots with the bow:
MAP(seems fine):
Im not sure but maybe texture packs can cause this to happen?
Im using Faithful 32x32 Texture Pack.

Ya I was going to say this a while ago but forgot, it's because you're using a texture pack bigger than 16x16. Try patching minecraft with mcpatcher if it doesn't work

Thanks for the feedback.
After backing up your saves, can you try with the default texture pack, on a new save, without mods except this mod and modloader?
so...umm...i hope you can make it so this mod not modifying base class in minecraft.jar....i'm a bit worried since i have numerous mod installed
That's why I'm currently implementing this mod in minecraft forge . I'm just few steps away from making it fully compatible with minecraft forge and with few more bug fixes, this mod should be ready for an official release in the released mods section.

I would love if you could put this on the first post, this mod looks so amazing and I will fully be tracking its further development
Thanks! Stay tuned for more updates!

One of the reasons I made this mod
Yes. I'm aware of this bug and it will be fixed
I'm currently trying to figure out how to make it work with optifine. It might take some time, but I'll do my best to make it compatible.
Nice video! Of course it will be put on the first post! Thanks for the video

Sorry I didn't understand your question . Can you provide a screenshot as well?
Thanks! Stay tuned for updates and fixes!
