Can't get to bug tracker page, so I'll ask here... it seems that Manganese blocks are not mine-able by an Iron pickaxe... hence, making it pretty hard to progress from Iron to Steel as an in-between for Diamond or the other higher metals/alloys. Is anyone else experiencing not being able to break Manganese with an Iron pick?
I just went from 2.0.5 to 2.0.6b to fix the other bug where precious metals were not spawning. The update fixed that, but brought this... at least in my world.
According to the grand spreadsheet, Manganese is block level 3 and Iron pick is pick level 3, should be able to mine it with that correct?
Yea.. that's a bug let me look into it.

Hey, just wanted to let you know that I just noticed you release the 2.0.6.1b files and I tried those (over the 2.0.6b i think?) and it now works the way it should as far as Manganese goes. Can now mine that with an iron pick... so whatever was done between those two releases corrected that issue.
Thanks again, guess I should have looked and seen there was a small update since last night.

When you post a crash report, please you spoiler tags. Of the top of my head I would guess you are extracting the zip, you should leave them in the zip file and put them in the mods folder.
Sorry, i didn't know how to use spoiler tags, will do next time. Also, I didn't extract the file, i just dropped them into the mods folder. I'll keep trying, i really want to use this mod.

Thanks. Still hunting for a not OMGWTFBBQ broken ore detector mod, but that's another story.
So in the previous iteration of the Painterly textures for this mod, the Nether metals didn't have custom brick block textures nor were any of the alloy bricks skinned. Therefore, I present:

So the wiki is annoyingly short on info, where do I get a mod tech/info tree?
Yeahhh, I've been noticing this too as of late. I'll see if I can contribute some more info after I get all my work finished tonight I was working on finishing up info on the base/core ores pages a while back, But even they could still use an update now. And the machines and utility ores too, definitely. M2 is growing fast and the wiki isn't keeping up hahaha
I posted an error report, but you know that the crusher and furnace recipes are still broked, right? Stone doesn't upgrade to copper, and on the crusher at least, iron didn't upgrade to steel. Not a deal breaker, by any means. JUst a leetle bug.
Agh, I really like idea the color-coding of the items, but i feel like they're all-over the place, and don't feel like they fit at all in the vanilla game. Hear me out---
-There are far, far too many colors for me to make sense of anything. I understand the cold>warm idea, but It still doesn't seem to fit. Traditionally, in games with colored rarity (diablo, borderlands, terraria), the rarity goes something like this:
-White= Common, standard item. *Most* basic items in the game should be this, as they are in vanilla minecraft.
-Blue= Uncommon item. Should start around the level of Oureclase, Midasium, Silver, or the standard alloys of iron/bronze (golden apple 1 color)
-Green= Slightly more rare, but not quite "rare". Should start around Manganese, Gold, Astral Silver, Ceruclase.
-Yellow= Rare items now. Should start around Mithril, Kalendrite, Steel, Diamond, Eximite
-Orange= Very rare items. Should start around Orichalcum, Desichalkos, Vulcanite should share this.
-Purple= The rarest of the rare. Platinum, Adamantine, Atlarus, Sanguine, and alloys of such. (like golden apple 2 color)
Edit: Maybe swap green & blue, it's swapped in a lot of games. I'd check out how other mods like thaumcraft and twilight forest do their coloring and try to use similar colors.
-The overabundance of colors is just way too confusing for no reason. It would be simpler and much more streamlined if they were grouped into less categories, like 4 or 5 different colors rather than 10+
-The dark colors look... awful. They do not work well with the dark blue background on the item tooltips. What I'm saying is THIS looks much better in-game than THIS. It's really, really noticeable.
-I feel like it's unnecessary to have every single metal be colored. Even from the very bottom up. Copper, Tin, Prometheum, Ignatius, etc are not close rare enough to need any coloring aside from white.
-No matter what you do, please please add a conifg file to turn colored rarity on/off. When you're using other mods that don't have colored items, it feels really strange to only have metallurgy items colored.
With the addition (well, re-addition) of coins, I've added 'Aquire a full stack of bullions' to my list of things to do, right under 'Aquire a full set of Tartarite armor'

MetallurgyCore [Metallurgy Core] (Metallurgy - Core 2) Unloaded->Constructed
MetallurgyBase [Metallurgy Base] (mods) Unloaded->Errored
Did you install metallurgy core to the jar, or extract it or something? it should say "MetallurgyCore [Metallurgy Core] (mods)
What specifically are you wanting to know =P

Tin is good for Bronze, Bitumen can be smelted into Tar, which replaces Sticky Balls in recipes.

Edit: I apparently missed putting custom blocks in for the fantasy metals, but oh well. I'll get to that sooner or later.
Posted to main thread.
