Well, for the record, it was definitely iron. I did mine a block with my iron pick, which I'd gotten before installing the mod.
I also had never had this mod before, so there were no old configs to delete.

He means to delete them when you update to the newest version, which should be out tomorrow morning. Bug fixing and stuffff
I have been playing this pretty non stop and haven't found any breaking bugs yet, and the minor ones i've seen have been reported and seem to right themselves with a reload of the world anyways.
That being said, apparently the bad ass factor the world generator uses got bumped up to 11 when I started my world. I have a survival Island looking spawn with 2 small islands and ocean forever around. Then the caves underneath have ravines filled with lava, giant waterfalls, intersecting natural bridges.
Admit it Keith, you took the world gen. and edited roids into it!
Hey I have a question, why does it put the config folder on my desktop? I just noticed this today when I logged on and it said Metallurgy inside of it so... Does it create it for me to move into the config folder?

Aww. So I guess this means that the past two days on the server need to be reset now, what with ID changes.
On the plus side, this gives me the perfect excuse to add in Forestry, while removing any need for considering adding Iron Chests.
So if anyone wishes to check out my open Metallurgy server today (like before, it's still 75.130.153.140) you'll need to upgrade Forge to version 237, M2 to Metallurgy 2.0.2b, and download Forestry 1.5.0. Just remember that Forestry bronze has been disabled, so use M2 metals and recipes, and if you're using Optifine (B3 IS COMPATIBLE WITH FORGE!) then reinstall it after updating Forge.
I have decided to tweak some of the non-ID configurations of Metallurgy; nothing that should affect anybody clientside with different configurations, but should make things "easier" -- giving machines more of a boost per upgrade, changing ore spawns a bit.
ALSO, while I'm on the topic of updates, I have a suggestion. It's rather annoying to go through 6 ad.fly links every time you update Metallurgy. I don't mind using Ad.fly a couple of times per mod or anything; I know that it helps you devs make a little bit of money off of your hard work. But I suggest adding a "Full pack" download, that has all the components of M2 in it, so that those of us who want all of Metallurgy's goodness just have to go through Ad.fly once, download 1 ZIP, and put it in our mod folders.

There weren't any ID shifts that I'm aware of in this version (I don't think) so you should be fine.
We're probably going to start doing fewer, larger beta updates, so the adfly thing shouldn't be much of a problem. My apologies at the inconvenience, but at most it should only be 30 seconds of your time. In the future, fewer, larger updates should help alleviate that, and post-launch you'll only have to download specific ones that get updated (since we'll be updating them individually for the most part).

This adds up to the total downloads they get, So as long as it's 6 downloads per person rather then 1, Gets them that money a bit faster =P I dont mind at all doing this, When 2.0.1 came out, I downloaded each one twice (Accidently) but i hope it counts towards it
Zinc is mixed with copper to get brass, a precious metal that can be used to make better chests. (and eventually will be able to be used as a currency.)
Edit: woo! I'm a Coal Miner
I also had never had this mod before, so there were no old configs to delete.

People tend to always click the last page or just go straight to the download section of the post without reading the entire thing.

Was going to say, unless you snuck that in I don't remember that in the design plans xD
I don't think I'd have an issue with it being useable as fuel though.
