I changed what spawn heights that the ores are at, Platinum to layer 32. I just wanted to ask how far from cords 0, 0 can I find Platinum ore at, or is that completely random? It would seem to be the hardest material to get if it were too far away.
Ok i think i found what im looking for, how do access and change what i need? i cant seem to open the right stuff, do i need a specific program? can you explain?

I believe that means anything up to 32 it can find.
The way OreGenMineable works is that it searches for Smoothstone up to that height to place it at. So as long as there is stone up to 32, it will spawn it.
What? D: 2 Veins per world? That is sick! Well, I dont really care, I am making my own maps with TMI included, but If I would be playing normally, w/o cheats, then 2 veins are definately to less.
How about 1 platinum per chunk? Or maybe 1 vein of 2 platinum per 9 chunks?
I can't do less than 1 vein per chunk, and even then that's too rare :wink.gif:

Awesome very simple, took a bit to find the just the right settings but it worked! thanks a lot.
Aaaand I'm still waiting for metadata before starting up a new world/chunks with this mod, mainly because I don't think mIDas can handle damage values for blocks, plus I need/want all the free Block IDs I can get without resorting to one of those extended Block ID mods.

Thanks for the information. But, when I go though the world with a X-ray mod on I don't see any Platinum ore at all, I kept the ores per vein and veins per chunk at 2. I'm going to try it with a new, unchanged configuration file to see if anything is different with the ores at their default heights.
Why I got those weird blocks, like silver is transparent block or after I brake tin block it drops BREAD I mean it's till tin but icon looks like bread. Any help?

In the process of shifting all blocks over to the new ore system, 1.3 will definitely not be tonight, I'm aiming for this weekend but no promises depending on what comes up.

Super Hostile maps I've completed: Spellbound Caves (Yeah, I pretty much suck.)
Balkon's Weaponmod addon?!, ****ING GENIUS!
Yea that's something I thought about the other night, when I get around to the IC2 addon I'll *attempt* to add drills for each metal.

TextureOverride should have different textures for Iron Tools.
