I'm using the Swords+ Mod (yes I know this isnt your mod) and there's just one blade that doesnt show up. WHY?! (Blade of Tau Radiance)
That would auctally be a question for the creator of the Sword+ mod.
What I think it means is that that sword can not be crafted in the normal crafting table.
As a programmer (not Java, sorry) i must say: If the name or "caption" of an item is known, it's item-id is known, too. Just numbertostringitsomehow() and add it to the caption string IF( showItemID == true ). This should not be a herculean task. To separate it visibly from the caption one could make parantheses around the item-id like so: Torch (50)
@ LoRam100: How can a non-Java-programmer be useful in developing minecraft mods? I have IronClad49er Sponges and Dynamic Elevators installed and like them. The elevators killed me often until I found out to make a big hole for the upper blocks (2 blocks deep/high) into the ceiling. I can see he needs some help there. Version 1.6 is even more dangerous, since the player is standing freely on the moving platform. But better no help from me: I'm sure I'll do worse. The sponges are simply great and cannot be done better than they are.
Showing the ID: very easy. Basically only requires changing a single function, and, as a bonus, It's very easy to have it show under the item name, like enchantments and potion effects.
I'm still a bit tired of working on the CraftGuide code, so won't get around to any major changes for a while, especially as I have an idea for an unrelated mod (which, since it would use the same GUI, would give me a chance to greatly improve it in a cleaner environment), but at some point fairly soon, I should have a new version out, specifically for forge, 1.2.5, and forge modloader. It'll only have minor changes, though.
CraftGuide, recipe viewer with a scrollbar! (Resizable window, too, if you prefer playing with a smaller GUI scale and are tired of GUIs only occupying a tiny square in the centre)
And now something completely different: Recently I installed Forestry. Forestry's recipes don't seem to show up in CraftGuide. Is there any trick to force them to become visibly in CraftGuide? Other mod's recipes were always shown until now. Forestry is the first mod that doesn't work. I use CraftGuide as an indicator if the new mod was installed successfully. As the recipes of Forestry did not show up it took me some hours of configuration and a new world to realize that the mod was installed and running.

Yeah, same on all counts. I came here to see if maybe I missed an update of CraftGuide, but no dice. It's only the recent update of Forestry too; they used to show up, but since I updated to get the new stuff, they're missing. Granted that bridged several versions so I can't tell which one broke it.
Addendum: CraftGuide never showed Carpenter recipes, so some of the new ones would still be missing. However that doesn't really explain why the rest of them are gone now too.

Thanks for this suggestion.
But sorry - I will not install NEI. Then I could play in creative mode, too. If I had everything at hand if I wanted it or needed it then nothing of this had any value for me. If I need diamonds I go down and dig them or hope that my quarry gets some.
A diamond has a value when it is rare. NEI is not good for me because it works perfectly. If I had it - just to lookup the recipes - I would use it to get my diamonds, too. Or switch of the rain. Or make id day. Or ... NEI is not an option for me.

You did not notice CraftGuide in title? This page contain plugin for CraftGuide.

* read exception * Illegal keyword NEI. Further processing halted.
I think I only looked at the pictures, not at the text.
How do I install the plugin? Just throwing it into the mods folder seems not to work.
And putting the content into CraftGuide-1.4.4.zip also has no effect.

Aie, Just install quickguide to use it on any server.
You access it with "G" default.

Suggestion:
It would be nice to have an option in the CraftGuide.cfg to see the item's block id when hovering over it.
showItemID=true
This is the second time I've seen this suggestion. I too think this would be helpful, but I fear a Herculean undertaking.

I hope it's something simple and that Uristqwerty adds it.
If you have the time and are so inclined Ironclad49er (DynamicElevators and other Mods) is looking for some help. Interested?
