No, it isn't compatible with 1.2.4. However, now that I've taken a break from Myst games, a 1.2.4 version should be out fairly soon.
I'm also working on a feature that some people might like: Support for arbitrary recipe sizes. There were previous mentions of BTW having a 4x4 crafting grid of some sort, and CraftGuide 1.4.4 will make it possible to show them (But I almost certainly won't be the one to write the code to add them. I'll leave that up to BTW's creator, or some other interested person, to figure out the CraftGuide API (not hard, I hope, and I'd be happy to answer any questions they would have about it) and write a mod to add its recipes.).
well, im trying to decompile craftguide, BTW and modloader, mcp6.1, and this happens:

should i just download the source for the 1.4.4 API and manually put that into MCP?
I... I thought the results of crafting recipes were determined server-side?
EDIT: Oh, it's your server. From what I can tell, there's no SMP support for the mod yet. So... there's your problem.
I'd imagine the reason no SMP version exists is because of the very thing I pointed out above: The server sends the result when you place the items for a recipe, so having an SMP recipe book would be very difficult and time consuming when it tries to list everything.
There is a client-side mod you can use, however. Take a look at QuickGuide in the topic post.
Adds a configurable key to open the crafting guide screen without needing a special item. Works in SMP. This provides an early SMP option (no server mod required!), as well as giving you a choice of how you use it, wither as an actual item, or merely a quick reference that you don't have to change windows to a web browser to use. (Note: In SMP, it shows every recipe from mods that YOU have installed, not what the server has)
Hey guys? Has anyone made a Doku customisation of the Craftguide interface somewhere? (That's one of the few graphical things I can manage so if not I'll get to it...)

I guess if I have a long post thats not a crash report or something I'm supposed to use spoilers so ill use it for everything so people don't have to say to use a spoiler like the dude below me. ya know since having a long post is against the law or something.
I cannot seem to be able to get this to work in 1.2.4. I have tried putting it in the mods folder, and now I have it in the jar but I cannot find it in game or craft it. I have some other mods installed which work fine. I know how to install mods and I have had this installed on a previous version of minecraft. I could really use this right now to help me craft the stuff from my currently installed mods without needing to constantly come here to look up the stuff or find it on the mods wiki. My current mods are (in case any of these conflict with craftguide):
All mods for 1.2.4
(in jar)
Modloader
Modloader Mp v1
Audio Mod
Turbo Model Thingy v2.3.7
Minecraft Forge 2.0.0.67
Player API client 1.0
ToomanyItems 03/22/2012
CraftGuide 1.4.4
(In mods folder)
Forestry 1.4.2.0
Flans mod 1.2 with Simple Parts pack 1.0, Modern Weapons pack 1.0, and WW2 pack 1.2 ( packs in Flan Folder)
Fossil/Archeology v6.2
If anyone has an idea on why I can't get the guide let me know.
EDIT: i just checked in-game and that item ID is not taken, the craft guide should be in between a few of the items for Flans Simple Parts Pack but it is not, the config files have been created for craft guide. I don't have any idea on why it is not working.
EDIT: Just Did a fresh install of Minecraft installing modloader, modloadermp, ect...ect...ect... but this time only installed craftguide in the mods folder, it came up this time. I dont understand why it wouldnt show up before.. makes no sense to me.
EDIT: Ok so I was just adding in some more mods and found out that when I add Flans WW2 pack the craftguide disappears. I changed the Item ID to 23900 and in game it shows up as 24156. Anyways I got it to work.
Sorry for the long ass post as I was trying to understand what the problem was and relaying updates of my progress.
Can you PLEASE make an Addon that adds Support for Thaumcraft's Infuser and Dark Infuser.

IM NOT BLUE XEPHOS I ACCIDENTLY NAMED MY SELF CLOSE... I DIDENT KNOW XEPHOS EXISTED UNTIL LATER IN MY ACCOUNT (i honestly dident know some one with 2 letters off from me existed when i started my account.).

I try to avoid making mod-specific stuff, usually just making it possible but not actually writing the code myself. It's mainly because there are so many mods, and few, if any, have an official way to access their recipe list. Since there isn't a public method of accessing it, they might change how recipes are stored between versions of their mod, breaking anything I added for it.
Starting with version 1.4.4, it has been possible to add larger recipes or indicate that the recipes have changed (could benefit from some optimization), so it could easily fit the full GUI, only show what has been discovered, and update automatically with every new discovery. (Though I think that a smaller display, like a 3x2 version of the shapeless crafting grid, would work better)
It would probably be best to ask the other mod's maker if they could add CraftGuide support first, then, if they decline, ask them if I could add support for their mod for them. I would rather not go poking around in someone else's code to extract recipes without first checking with them, especially because they might have some advice on how to do it, or might be planning on changing the format soon, so that the different formats could be taken into account (either simply not supporting one of them, or detecting which one is present to ensure correct results).
CraftGuide, recipe viewer with a scrollbar! (Resizable window, too, if you prefer playing with a smaller GUI scale and are tired of GUIs only occupying a tiny square in the centre)
But sometimes I like playing mods that make you explore and find the new stuff yourself ( Thaumcraft 2 for instance ) is there some way to limit the filter choices to just your inventory ?
How's the API rework coming along...? Is there currently a way of making Craftguide work in combination with Railcraft?
I can't believe how addicted I got to this mod in the half-day I managed to use it. =/

O_o It's actually letting you craft one in SMP?
post started small and got bigger but here ill fix it
Keep it up!
Could you please have it remember Craftguide's GUI size when I restart?
Its ANNOYING when I need to do that everytime I use it after I started up MC
Exporting would be possible, but far from easy (unless you just wanted a direct HTML version of what is shown in-game).

You lie to yourself.
It always was needed..
And I doubt you had a good reason not to
Lazy at its best!
I still cant believe there's NEI fanboys who prefer that over this.

You can not craft this in multiplayer.
There is no SMP version.
However! There is "QuickGuide" in the topic.
You can get that to just press a button and see the recipes
That works in multiplayer!
oh ok my server been crash
I read to Installation wrong?
I files mover to ''QuickGuide'' mods here what happen?
i cant make
There is no support for server files.
You can only install this client side with quick guide.
