Time passes by so fast. It was at the beginning of March that minecraft 1.2.3 was released and I started working on the next version of the mod. I wanted the mod to use the modloader api and I thought it would be a simple copy and paste job to get it done... But I was wrong and I ended up rewriting the entire mod... That and life are the reasons why it took me this long to finish the mod.
Honorable mentions go to thetonyk123 for doing a good job at keeping everybody informed.
changes:
- the mod has completely been rewritten to use the modloader api.
- added the minimap (note: it's disabled by default).
- the health, armor, food and the breath bar can now be rotated vertically.
- the item bar can now show item wear with numerical values.
- the keybinding has been moved to the keybinding menu, because that's where keybindings belong.
- all fade sliders now use seconds instead of some weird arbitrary value.
- you can now overwrite old profiles when saving them.
But please, PLEASE if you are going to rewrite your mod from 0, dont do it when minecraft updates, do it in between updates
pd: where is the option of more chat lines and more time before fade?
edit: bug! the mod creates a folder named ''config'' on my desktop (mac) if i delete it, when I start minecraft it will use the default, if i dont delete it, it will use the one that I did.
edit 2: bug, if you enter in full screen with the default, everything will fly somewhere else.
On your next update, please add an option to get rid of that annoying black mist in the corners of the screen. I set my smooth lighting to be off just because of that thing - this mod brings it back regardless of what I set it to.
That is a texture pack problem. If you go into your texture pack (or into your minecraft.jar if you don't use a texture pack) find a folder called "misc" and the file "vignette" and replace that file with a clear version. Then the enjoying dark areas at the corner will be gone. (I hated it too)

the option for more chatlines is gone. It just wasn't very useful and thus it overcomplicates the code. The fade slider will return.

I forgot a line, it's fixed now. Though you should really change it in your texturepack.
- Double armor counter shows only half of available armor points, ie. with full diamond set, it shows 5 AP
- Full width XP bar doesn't fade (not sure if bug, or it should be that way)
I also found that when i was adjusting the items bar the align lines where over to the left (In GUI size normal)
I've been struggling with this problem ever since I added the reposition feature. There's no real fix for it, because the nature of it is quite unstable (it relies a lot on external input like the window getting resized or the player moving stuff around).
See if you can find a way that causes it to cause it and then please tell me. I will fix it.
I see that you made Lang.class, are you planning multilingual in a next version?
Also, this is a screenshot from 12w21b. The place where HUD key is set will conflict with the Command (that opens a chat bar with a slash /)
;-; sad sad story
*snip*
The lang class is just a list of static final strings that are used a lot by the mod. It just makes it easier to fix typos and such. No plans on multilingual content.
With the new button the advancedHUD button will go down to the next line and will render behind the "done" button ;-;
