Wrsford, I would like this mod to work on my server (SMP). It works in singleplayer, but I don't know where to put the server version files. Thanks for the help.
So basically I only need the server version? I won't need to install the regular version AND then the server version, right?
EDIT : Ok looks like the multiplayer version doesn't work as long as the ModLoaderMP is not fully updated, gonna have to wait.
Also you should make a guide how to install your mod, if we need to have modloader too.
EDIT 2 : Looks like we don't need ModLoader to make this mod works, but how can I play with it on my SMP server? In wich .jar do I put the Server files, what do I need to do? Please make a guide on the main post or something.
I apologize for the newb question but I want to double check my understanding from what I read in these posts, the compatibility download will only generate big trees when a player plants them, correct? I ask because I am looking to create a single huge tree but I don't want to generate biomes. I was thinking of spawning the tree over a huge cave and have the roots penetrate through it. Is the root system extensive (multiple 10+ large/small roots) or a handful of large roots (less than 10)?
Thanks for any help and thanks for creating an awesome mod! =)

You are correct. The compatible one does not generate anything on its own. You can create just one tree or a forest if you prefer. Be sure to check out the config file, there are many settings and several for roots; with a little testing you should be able to get what you want.

Hey Noobs: When you have to post an error log please use the spoiler tag like this:

I took your advice and gave it a try, tweaked some settings, and it worked fantastic!

the server one goes in minecraft_Server.jar :tongue.gif: not minecraft.jar
the server one goes in minecraft_Server.jar :tongue.gif: not minecraft.jar
That's what I get when I do this :
[SEVERE] Unexpected exception
java.lang.VerifyError: (class: fj, method: e signature: (Ldg;)V) Incompatible argument to function
at net.minecraft.server.MinecraftServer.s(SourceFile:143)
at net.minecraft.server.MinecraftServer.run(SourceFile:309)
at rl.run(SourceFile:457)
So I just can't run my server with the mod. What else do I need? Do I need modloader MP too? Make a guide or something Wrsford
I do have a question though. I try to run the server version and it works fine if I create trees manually, however they are not generated automatically when I create a new world (random or seed). What am I missing here?
Keep up the work and maybe try to find some time for a documentation. :wink.gif:
How did you make the server version works? :sad.gif:
another question is, Why did you decide to have every tree in a forest be the huge gigantic generated one? It always crashes my game when I generate one even with everything on lowest settings.
Put them in the jar file

Not the best idea I've ever had, I'll admit.

It's the YogBox mod with elemental creepers turned on.

The config is in the main .minecraft dir. Look for HTConfig.txt.
That's the third suggestion for that since I've started to watch this thread...
You just lost the game.
go for it
