Multishot is a tool for creating timelapses and stop motions in Minecraft automatically even if Minecraft is minimized. It removes the need to record timelapses with a screen recorder, which leaves you with large video files that take large periods of time to speed up and render. It acts just like an intervalometer does for a camera allowing players to record and timelapse anything in the game.
It works by automatically taking screenshots at a predefined exposure (default 1 second). These screenshots can then be 'sped up' as an image sequence and played back like a normal video. The mod also includes an auto motion feature that automatically moves and/or rotates the player in any direction allowing for more entertaining and engaging timelapses.

To use just look at what you want to timelapse and turn multishot on.
Compatible with ModLoader!
Install multishot BEFORE using any HD texture patcher!
Don't send me support related private messages, use the thread.
This mod works on both singleplayer and multiplayer.
Before installing SHUT DOWN MINECRAFT.
Multishots by default are saved to /minecraft/multishots/.
If you make a timelapse and want to share it post the video link in the thread.
Making a timelapse
Before you jump straight into time-lapsing, some thought needs to go into setting the exposure value. Short intervals give a smoother resulting video and are generally used for things with fast rates of change. Long intervals give a more jolty output for fast moving objects but work well with slow changing objects. To change the exposure value open the options menu by pressing 'L'.
Here are some example intervals 0.5 - 1 second
fast paced builds with lots going on, cloud movement 1 – 3 seconds
sun/moon movement, slower moving builds 3 – 7 seconds
very slow builds 7 - 10 seconds
grass growing, server growth time-lapses

Looks like a great mod, but I was thinking as I watched the video, what if I wanted to record a time lapse of something being built... in single player? Would it be possible to create something like the camera mod I've seen but instead take a time lapse shot like this. I don't know if you could somehow re-use the code that renders the view but instead only take the stills required for the timelapse.
You would craft a camera block, place it maybe directionly like signs, then using perhaps the defaults set up in a file, like resolution size, and it would start working straight away, or even have it powered by redstone for greater control.
I REALLY NEED THIS COMPATIABLE WITH MOD LOADER!! :sad.gif:
The best way around modloader for now is to have two minecraft.jar files one with modloader and your mods and one with this, then just change between the jars when you want to timelapse.

I think imovie can do it but it's not that great. Theres easier ways than pirate bay just google.
Also what would you like to be more clear and ill fix it up.
looks good but i agree. You need something that you can place that could even work for multiplayer such as a block or even a bukkit plugin where you look a certain direction and type something like /multishot and it will record the thing and put it in the server files. Obviosly it could be misused, so maybe you could make it so only localhost can use the command. or only from console. Just a thought. but nobody wants to just sit there staring a 10 hour build for a time-lapse. I went crazy after having to film one for 20 minutes. Great job though!
Wondering if you can convert it into 1.73 for me cause my server is still on that. They are no updating until the mods and plugins are completly converted so if you can thanks...
